Business › Re: I Want To Arrest My Father For Selling My Palm Oil by tempest01(m): 1:41pm On Jul 11, 2023 |
Hardtotrust: I am very very angry right now. I couldn't sleep last night. That is why I'm bringing this here this morning before I do something very bad. A father should be after the growth of his son and not after ruining him.
Please you guys should help me look into this matter. I understand that it was a matter of life and important concern.
I'm seriously struggling in the city to eck a living for myself and do the little I can for my family also. My father was a petty trader who hardly can provide adequate for the family. Some of us who come from a very poor background would understand this better. I mean coming from where absolutely nothing is kept for you. No support from the family and nothing, nothing and nothing. You are the one who die and same you would have to pour yourself water to come back to life. You, you and only you.
I buy fast consuming products and supply to people and make some gains from there. Sometimes I hawk the products. I was able to save up to N150k. Around May this year, I went to the village and bought some rubbers of palm oil and store them to sell around November/December and make gains.
Last week, I got a call that wind pulled off our house roof in the village. Since they are using small torchlight phone, I didn't get to see how serious the situation was. Even though I didn't have money, I sent N15k to help fix it. My father later called me and complained bitterly on why I sent just 15k, that according to the carpenter, that materials and workmanship would cost N65k. In my mind, I was just like, does this man even know how I survive here in the city?
For two nights, they didnt sleep in the house as the wind pulled off the rooof.
On Tuesday, I learnt my younger brother was being operated of Hernia. I know about the hernia but was under plan to raise money for it. And I knew there was no money to settle medical bills for operation. So I was shocked where they got the money to do operation.
As I traveled down yesterday to see them, dear Nairaland friends, all my rubbers of palm oil has been sold and the money spent on fixing the roof and paying for the medical bills for the hernia operation without my notice.
I am not taking this kindly with my father who engineered the whole thing and I want to arrest him to refund my money.
That is my life investment and it took me so much to raise the amount. Due to how things are now. I even wanted to sell two rubbers to invest back as the business is facing challenges now.
What should I do here to recover my money back? If I have another money, I would over look it but that is my life investment of my labour. I believe the only wrong thing here is that you were not informed. And it is disrespect. Register your very strong displeasure on not being informed about the action and tell your father that you would have taken tougher action if not that it was used for your brothers medical bills. Look at it as business loss and start again, though but it will pass. It is not worth destroying your family over. |

Nigerians should note the names of the Judges that make these kind of rulings for future sake. The electoral law was clear. Akpabio and Lawan shouldn't be in the Senate because they bought presidential forms and contested. That Judges will aid illegality is the reason I do not have faith in the charade being done at the pept. |

AwkaFinest: The one for Akwa Ibom is not by Waltersmith, by BUA Group. This has been in existence even before that of Akwa Ibom was thought of. The Bua group is more recent. There was a planned refinery that equipment was already purchased, but did not work out. |

Politics › Re: Court Invalidates NBC's powers to Impose Sanctions, Fines On Broadcast Stations by tempest01(m): 1:32pm On May 10, 2023 |
lhordspy: Maybe i am wrong BUT This doesnt make sense. NBC is a regulating commission, it should have power to be able to sanction erring broadcasting organisation without having to rely on the judiciary.
Instead it is the broadcasting organisation that should file a case at the court if they are not satisfy with the sanctions imposed on them.
It is more like telling LASTMA, ROAD SAFETY and other precautionary and regulating agency to seek court intervention before impounding your vehicle for going against the law.
Court process takes to long. We all know NBC is the only thing holding this mischievous and overly sentimental media houses by the balls and checkmating their excesses. If not, journalism would have been an insane crazy affair in this country. You are wrong. The media is secured by the constitution as a powerful check to government. Any backyard law to stifle the media without a trial by court is null. If the NBC feels that the media has broken the law, they should let the judge decide. Dishing out fines because the truth is not pleasing is an aberration to free speech and anyone can draw up any trivial reason to fine the media and control narratives. |

The opposition parties have the numbers to influence who gets the position. The party has not come to a conclusion on the preferred candidate and this charlatan is already endorsing opposition.

Too bad that people have become animals.
Hope Uzodinma, Buhari and Co have destroyed the whole country.
The police used to kill youth indiscriminately do not know that they are putting their lives and that of their colleagues at risk. You have placed targets on their backs for life.
Hopefully they don't rig the Imo upcoming elections as usual, let a sane government chosen by the people come in, mend differences and repair trust. |

Health › Re: Please Help, My Son Has Dandruff For Over 8years Now by tempest01(m): 3:22pm On Apr 19, 2023 |
7david7: Good morning my people, I am writing you people at this delicate hour of 12:39am because my son's condition, it's getting worse by the day.
Dandruff wants to kill this beautiful boy, I know it's weird because we all know, myself included that dandruff doesn't kill, but watching myself lose a part of my son everyday.
He's been suffering from this condition for over 6yrs now, we've gone to the hospital and after buying and using all the prescribed drugs (Nizoral shampoo, selsun blue, head and shoulders, tea tree oil, miconazole cream, ketoconazole cream, terbinafine cream, fluconazole tablet, terbinafine tablet: almost killed my son, griseofulvin etc) nothing has changed, instead it's getting worse by day.
From complaining of headaches, to weakness (my son that was filled with energy and plays all the time now barely moves, he is always one place complaining of tiredness and pain), to joint pains, to confusion.
According to him, this dandruff has ate up his scalp so much that he can now taste his bathing soap on his tongue the moment he washes his head. We are now scared of washing and applying anything on his head because he will complain of tasting whatever we put on his head in his mouth and he will start having reactions. It's almost as if the skin on his scalp no longer protects him from outside soaps and other ingredients.
The moment he washes his head, his lips and tongue will swell up and he will start having reactions. My once active and lovely boy is now a shadow of himself. He's refusing to play, always complaining of tiredness and pains.
Pls help me my people, I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried every hospital and everything, I've done all I know, and now I'm watching my son deteriorate gradually before my very eyes without having a clue what to do, pls I beg you, help him, help me. This is not medical advice. I think applying these many things only aggravated the whole thing. My advise is to stop them all. Always barb all the hair on his head as it will help in healing and prevent habitat for the disease. Change his clothing, mattress, bedding, pillow, pillow case, towel etc. Check your water source, change it or treat it if possible. Always boil his bath water. Add detol to his bath water. Let him take his bath twice daily. Do this for a while till the sores heal. Let him take prescription drugs from the doctor or dermatologist, but ensure that it is something mild. |
