When I applied 4yrs ago, mine took like 25weeks lool
Applied in February, got approved in August.
School was gonna resume in September, I nearly lost hope but had faith cause I booked my flight before I got approved crazy lol

I sent an email this morning about my application exceeding standard processing time and got this response from Lagos office.

1. Does this mean that Lagos is the office handling my file not Nairobi?
2. The statement about not sending any more emails is that a threat and are there consequences or it's just a generic response they always give.
Would appreciate a response. Thank you.

Biometrics Done: on 25th September, 2020 (yet to be updated on my GC Key account/portal).

Background Check: commenced 5th March, 2021

Upfront Medical: 25th February, 2021 (submitted with my application on 4th Mar. But was only updated on 16th June same day after I resent it)

Ordered GCMS Notes: May 25th

Received GCMS Notes: June 24th (nothing much was in it). Was contemplating sending another one next week.

Eligibility Review: commenced 24th June

BVL/PPR: June 26

Going for a 1yr PG certificate.


This was a 2nd Application. First application I did not include any of the above documents. I was a complete novice. (Lol). I didn’t even include my Tuition receipt or CAC or property docs, nothing at all, just my LOA, qualifications and passport that’s all.

But thank God for Nairaland where I learned everything I needed to know for a successful application (especially, as a self-sponsored applicant).

Also, since I didn’t include vital docs in my last application, I decided to overload them with documents this time around

I keyed in to @justexcellent testimony of his approval and wrote out the same prayer points he used while I fasted earlier this year.

God bless you all richly and establish us in our quests for destiny fulfillment. Good day everyone. I want to book upfront medical at qlife. I seem not to understand the payment procedure. What I'm seeing are pay stack, monnify and flutterwave. Which one should I choose. What is confusing me is that their website is displaying we will pay using naira card (ATM card) . I await responses.

Lol, I don't know about BP, but my heart rate was also high during mine, they tried 3 times and it was still high (guess I was nervous). So the guy wrote it like that in red pen sef! But they still updated my medicals to pass. So I don't think it'll be an issue.

I'm referring to those that did biometrics after 15th, although I feel it's the same thing because it stated that both medicals and biometrics.

This is exactly what they said. However, Those that completed their Biometrics before May 15, will still fall within that category even if they complete their Medicals later. I submitted before May 15 but did upfront Medicals 3rd June. Eligibility Review has commenced and I have seen something that show that my application is under review like two Ghost Updates

It states and I quote " If you submitted your complete study permit application (including your biometrics and immigration medical exam) by May 15, 2021, you should get a decision by August 6, 2021, in time to attend the fall semester."
Except I'm misinterpreting what it says, all 3 must be submitted by May 15 to get a decision for Aug 6th.

Had my application submitted on 15th May, biometrics 18th, have an upfront medical this Saturday, 26th June.

What IRCC calls a complete application, is the biometrics and medicals, if all this can be done, medical passed it did be within the timeframe.

Hi, I'm in the same shoes as yours. Applied May 14th.
Mine is even worse,because there is no option of deferment for me. It's either fall this year or I would have to forfeit the admission and reapply next year.

My assurance was in the may 15th deadline to get a response by Aug 6th, but now that they said biometrics too should have been done before May 15th and I did mine 28th I don't know again.......
I'm just still believing God and I have faith that nothing is impossible with Him.
