Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Does One Comfort Self After Receiving 3 Job Rejections In One Week? by Tesike: 1:53pm On Jul 08, 2023
Receiving multiple job rejections in a short period of time can be disheartening, but it's important to remember that it's a common experience for many job seekers. Here are some ways to comfort yourself and regain motivation:

1. Allow yourself to feel disappointed: It's normal to feel down after being rejected, so give yourself permission to acknowledge and process those emotions. Don't dismiss or suppress your feelings. Instead, accept them and understand that setbacks are a part of the job search process.

2. Remember that it's not personal: Rejections are not a reflection of your worth or capabilities. Realize that there could be various reasons why you weren't successful, many of which may be beyond your control. Focus on what you can control moving forward.

3. Seek support: Reach out to friends, family, or mentors for emotional support. Share your feelings and frustrations with them; they can provide advice, encouragement, and a different perspective.

4. Self-reflect: Take the opportunity to reflect on your application materials, interview performance, and overall job search strategy. Consider if there are areas you could improve upon or if you need to make any adjustments. Seek feedback from interviewers or trusted individuals who can provide constructive criticism.

5. Practice self-care: Engage in activities that help you relax and recharge. Adopt a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly, eating well, and getting enough sleep. Take breaks from the job search to pursue hobbies, spend time with loved ones, or engage in activities that bring you joy.

6. Stay positive and maintain a growth mindset: Remember that rejection is a natural part of the process, and each rejection brings you one step closer to finding the right opportunity. Believe in yourself and maintain a positive attitude. Embrace the mindset that each rejection is an opportunity to learn and grow.

7. Keep going: It's important not to let rejections deter you from pursuing your goals. Resilience and perseverance are key in the job search. Revise your resume, tailor your cover letter, and keep applying to positions that align with your skills and interests. Learn from each experience and use it to improve your chances in future job applications.

Remember that everyone experiences rejection at some point. The key is to stay determined, learn from the experience, and keep moving forward.

He won't tender the NYSC for screening, so he is not bound by it. And again I insist that NOTHING was said in regard to his WASSCE.
Below is the reason the screening committee gave for his disqualification and I quote...
''In our interaction with issues raised, we concluded that HSC was defective. The NYSC certificate and the fact that the aspirant took the party to court, the above aspirant, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, therefore, is not eligible to participate in the election''
Now kindly show me where reference was made to his WASSCE.

There is no need for the NYSC. Only the WASSCE. And it is not stated in any constitution that he must pass the WASSCE. He only need the certificate. Plus, no point was raised by the APC screening committee as regards 'K Leg' in his WASSCE.

PDP is his best option, they can join forces and stop tat orangutan who wants to Lord it over Edo people. He should submit only his o level results with Affidavit to back it up like buhari, because APC might try to exploit lope holes in his NYSC certificate.
You get sense. Let him tender only his WASSCE since that is the minimum requirement. No need for the degree and NYSC. This will save him from unnecessary court cases should in case he later wins the election with the PDP.

Almost this same period last year(June/July) We had a rape story- case of Busola Dakolo and Coza's Pastor trending on twitter/internet. Now in June this year we are having something similar . What is it about this time of the year that has a way of heightening RAPE story?
Why MUST you force a lady when you can either keep yourself , Marry or go for Olosho?
#Justice is actually needed, perhaps that will be a lesson to some wicked guys.
Nothing should justify rape at all.

There is no real truth to power sharing........

It is true that Kogi West never tasted power but asides Yahaya Bello who became Governor by providence, a Kogi Central person haven't either.....

From 1991, Kogi has gone the Igala way because they have the population and majority of the 21 LGAs that make up the state.

Kogi Central where Yahaya is from, will also want to taste power....Bola Tinubu has no absolute power near Kogi. He is a political strategist but don't over-rate him with Kogi.
He has no pinch there....

If Yahaya will be removed...Buhari wants him removed....Kogi is far too strategic for any party in power for obvious reasons....

Irukera is from Yagba West LGA, a Christian in a Moslem-dominated state........but these media hassles and reports come from an obvious place the way it started with the Senatorial 'ish......
The same Faleke people are pushing this and would fail.....

The Presidency will never tell Yahaya to use Irukera for simple reasons and he will disobey, never.....Will the Irukera be able to defeat a Dino on ground? One of even the many sins of Adeyemi is that all his businesses and the likes are domiciled in Ilorin and Abuja..... Let alone...

This is a man who studied Law at OAU, then left for the USA only to return and want a failed gubernatorial slot from APC...

Knowing Buhari's antecedents.....and the performance of Bello during the Presidential and HoA elections...only a miracle will make him not get the APC ticket....

I dislike Yahaya with all my heart but

Let's be factual sometimes.....
very correct. I can't agree less.

PoliticsAmosun Loyalists Disrupt Trade Moni Disbursement In Ogun by Tesike(op): 12:55pm On Feb 20, 2019
Pandemonium broke out on Tuesday in Abeokuta, Ogun State, when some men, suspected to be loyalists of Governor Ibikunle Amosun, invaded Lafenwa Market, venue of the disbursement of TraderMoni and disrupted the programme.

The men, led by the Chairman, Abeokuta North-West Local Council Development Area, Monsuru Shorunke, also took away the Iyaloja of the market, Mrs Ramotalai Olatunji, but returned her few minutes later. TraderMoni is a Federal Government intervention programme for petty traders under the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme.

Our correspondent gathered that handlers of the TraderMoni had arrived at the market and were documenting the traders’ bio-data using their Permanent Voter Cards before event was disrupted.

When The PUNCH got to the market, the Iyaloja was seen giving N500 to each of the traders at the market.

It was gathered that Iyaloja gave out the money to the traders in replacement of the TraderMoni fund.

The LCDA chairman, Shorunke, confirmed that he led some “boys to Lafenwa on the order of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.”

He said he went there when news filtered in that some politicians “were giving the traders money in exchange for their PVCs.”

He said, “I was in front of the governor when we heard that some people came to Lafenwa Market, collecting PVCs from the traders in exchange for money.

“The governor said we should go and find out what was happening.

“We took the Iyaloja to the governor’s house along with the Babaloja of Lafenwa.

“We believe that it was wrong for them to collect people’s PVCs before election day. That was what they came to do at Lafenwa and it is wrong.”

Neither the Special Adviser to Amosun, Rotimi Durojaiye, nor the governor’s Special Assistant, Eshiomohmo Imoudu, could not be reached as their phones rang out. Messages sent to their phones were not replied

PoliticsRe: Buhari Campaigns In Port Harcourt, Rivers State (Live Updates) by Tesike: 11:53am On Feb 12, 2019
sarrki:
South-south and South-east: My Thought On PDP stronghold –

PDP have consistently won 60% or more of the total votes since 2003 in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Rivers.

In the last election, PDP got about 50% of their total votes from these states, 6,892,762 votes. The party received 80% or more from each state; the highest was Anambra with 98.5%. But what are the chances of PDP/Atiku repeating the 2015 feat next week in their stronghold?

Personally, I believe PDP have lost some ground in most of these states, if not all.

• In Anambra, Governor Obiano is not hiding his affection for President Buhari and not shying away from publicly promoting the achievements of the Buhari Government in the state and south east as a whole. PDP won the state with 98.5% of the total votes in the last election, I strongly believe this time around, the state could easily swing in favour of either of the two major parties.

• Imo, despite the obvious friction in Imo APC, the incumbent Governor is still solidly behind President Buhari and APC as far as the presidential election is concerned. I doubt if that support will be readily available in the Gubernatorial election especially. I believe APC have a better chance of winning this state.

• In Akwa Ibom and Delta, APC has successfully formed some great alliances and the party seem united in both states. In 2015, PDP secured 2.2 million votes from both states compare to APC 107,321. With the two states boasting 4,965,001 registered voters, an increase of over 1 million newly registered from last election, there is all to play for. I believe PDP will still win both states. I do not honestly believe APC is strong enough to win either state in this election, but I am confident the party will do exceptionally well, which will be nothing compare to the 2015 result.

• No doubt APC have gained some ground in Abia, cross river, Enugu, Bayelsa and Ebonyi, they are not significant enough for the party to win any of those states. PDP will still retain these states but not in a way they will want to. In the last election, PDP had about 90% of total votes in all these states, I don’t see that happening in this election. APC will comfortably secure at least the required 25% in all, and looking at the voting record of these states, it would be considered a decent outing for APC.

• Rivers state, the crown jewel of PDP stronghold with 3,215,273 registered voters. In the last election, PDP had 95% of total votes (1,487,075 votes) compare to APC 4.4% (69,238 votes). Thanks to Amaechi, Abe and co, they have successfully made a mess of APC’s chances in the state. Even though I do honestly believe PDP will win the state, I also believe APC will perform far better than they did in 2015.

At the end of the day, south-south and south-east will remain a PDP stronghold, at least the time being. Though PDP is still firmly entrenched in these two regions, but with Imo state out of their grip, and both main parties having a 50-50 chance of winning Anambra state, this is enough to worry PDP. It says a lot on how deep APC has encroached into their territory. APC secured only about 5% of total votes in SS and SE in 2015, and they still won the election. If they manage to secure about 35-40% in this election, which believe they will, it would be considered a great success. If I were PDP supporter, I would be worried.
And how do you think PDP will fare in the result of 2019 compare to 2015 in the Northern State?
PoliticsRe: 'I Don't Give A Damn If APC Loses Zamfara' - Senator Marafa Makes U-turn (WATCH) by Tesike: 10:30am On Jan 30, 2019
itsdumebi:
@POLITICSNGR

Kabiru Marafa, the senator representing Zamfara central senatorial district, has said that he doesn't care if his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC loses the elections in the state.

Speaking at a Press Conference in Abuja, Marafa disclosed that some senators and former governor were being used by the Zamfara state government to heighten the crisis rocking the party in the state.

PoliticsNGR gathered that he also complained about President Muhammadu Buhari's lack of concern about the APC not having a governorship candidate in the state in the upcoming Elections.

He said;

“There is a limit to loyalty. My loyalty first and foremost is to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, because we must have Nigeria before we can have the Senate,”.

“So, my loyalty is first to my God and to my people. APC is not a religion. So, if APC decides that the worst APC candidate is better than the best other candidates from anywhere, I will respect them because they are in politics to field candidates to win elections.

“But that cannot be true to me. So, I would go for the best for my people.

“So, even if it means that APC loses in Zamfara State, I don’t give a damn. After all, the crisis that we are in today started with the APC itself.”
