Nope. Point of correction, he wasn't useless with Fellaini. In fact, his best display was with Felliani against Southampton.
And how was his performance against Watford who were just breaking into our midfield and defence anyhow? That combination turned Watford into Barca. A lowly Watford for that matter.

That the whole team had a poor match against City, a match where Felliaini was actually our best player but instead got blamed for Pogba's poor performance means jack! Prior to the match, we had plenty of good games. In fact, Fellaini allowed Pogba to express himself much more than Herrera did
You've said it all. He couldn't cover for Pogba defensively. What about against Watford? I think that was his last game with Pogba there because JM realised that he was useless playing with Pogba there.

And let me remind you that we have been playing little expansive football with Herrera in the team. We often have the whole team camped in our fuc.kking half. That's why Ibra often had to drop deep to help to initiate the attack with Pogba. That's why our wing forwards (Mkhi and Martial) had problem in the attck because they were more or less wingbacks in the setup!
Lololol! Canopy analyst....... Micki and Martial had problem because Herrera was in our team? Continue deceiving yourself.

The point is it's not like Herrera has been this defensive warlord that people make him out to be, the fact is the team defends as a whole. Come to think of it, I have hardly seen Herrera take out an opponent and win the ball all alone, I often see him in group of 2 or 3 players cornering an opponent where he eventually wins the ball after much harassment by himself and others.
He's not a defensive warlord but he has the highest number of tackles and interception in our team.

How will you see him take out an opponent and win the ball on his own when you are so much filled with hate for him?

Erm if you observed you will know that 2 man midfield never worked for us against daring teams whether it is Pogba and whoever. And if you recollect it was the return of Carrick that brought sanity to our midfield.
My question.....

Whether 2 or 3-man midfield, can you play Fellaini in Carrick's position without Pogba's performance suffering for it?

Lmao..

Smalling also won the POTY last year. It doesn't mean jack!

I would start taking him serious if he can do without Pogba getting all the attention. We played some few matches without Pogba this season and Herrera looked pathetic in all of these matches just like he did under Van gaal. Tell me what has changed?
You can't even differentiate the POTY that Smalling won last year under your canopy be cause of the double vision you are seeing abi.

Go back and do your research very well and differentiate the awards.

Can Pogba perform without a player with good defensive capabilities? Even at Juve, were his good performances without DM covering for him defensively?

In a nutshell, can pogba churn out good performances without a good defensive midfielder cover for him defensively? When Fellaini played with him early in the season, he was useless.

At least, my "under canopy watch" solidified the claim that Herrera is simply rubbish without Pogba. For example vs Arsenal etc

He should thank his star that opposition see him as a clown and would rather concentrate their attention on the 89mil man unlike under Van gaal where there was no place to hide.
Your under the canopy has been seeing double vision.

Who and who started the league in the midfield? Pogba and Fellaini.

Why was Fellaini ditched and Herrera brought in?
Most of Fellaini's passes were backward passes. Fellaini didn't do enough to cover for Pogba defensively.

The same Van Gaal who turned all the players into eleven robots that must follow his docile philosophy.

I know it continues to pain you that the player you said will be sold by JM has won the club's POTY and the MOTM in the final of the Europa League. He'll continue to shame you as the in-house canopy analyst who always see double vision under the canopy.

Bullshit!

Herrera was rubbish under Van gaal because he was touted as the creative midfielder which he's not! Now he's found a midfielder in Pogba who can shadow him and gets all the attention and man-marking while he waltz around doing his defensive hustling!

Who were the creative players that suffered under Van gaal? Rooney? Martial? Rashford?

I guess you were living under rock.
You were watching under the canopy.

Yeah, I know and that's why I said no one wishes to lose his/her loved ones but you'll always know that at an advance age one will know that there will a time when one will lose them. Unlike a losing a young person which will be more painful.

Herrera was the only one who held the ball with confidence and did meaningful thing in the first half when every forward player and midfielders were shaking. In the second half Fellaini joined him and we used the ball a bit on the right side with Valencia's support.

Herrera was the only one going for direct tackles instead of shielding players
Yeah, I saw it in your half time comments. Fellaini also tried with his physicality and I think he has really improve on his pace a bit. The guys play them like men playing boys. Experience counts a lot.

Congratulation to the fans and the players.

Man Utd is all about winning trophies, not fourphy. Mourinho has done it again. He prioritised to win it and he has done just that.

Straight to UCL next season. Next season is another season. That's three trophies this season

And to our in-house canopy analyst, Herrera won MOTM of the final.

You said we're behaving like maga and you want us to pay $100m for a player that's almost 29yrs old. How many seasons is left in him to deliver with that price?

Coogar used to suggest Laccazete and we all laughed at him. But the guy is still scoring. Although I don't know his price.

Bas Dost scored 34 goals in 30 league matches for Sporting, the next in Portuguese league scoref only 16 goals. His goals per minutes for Wolfsburg was not bad at all. I don’t know his price tag.

But transfer market has it this way:

Bas Dost €10m
Laccazete €30m
Griezmann €80m

We can buy both and add to Rashford. Bas Dost is more like Crouch pouncing on crosses and loose balls so he might not be very attactive. But he scores.

There are still players even in Serie A scoring over 20 goals
The same Lacazette that i read over the weekend already had agreement to join Athletico Madrid next summer. Or is it that the news is not true

Without even going to search the internet, I still remember two which odunharry have mentioned one.

I know you don't like De Gea even when he was bought, so i'm not surprised about this your latest criticism of him.

Nakumura Comes to mind.
Nakamura of Celtic. Yes, that is one of it. That Nakamura's free kick was even far like I think almost 30yrds outside. Though I'm not so sure about how far but it beats Van der sar hands down. But that didn't make him a bad goal keeper.

A good free kick taker can score against any goalie on his good day.

It is not also by chance that Valencia won 3 players of the month awards this season. The fans screwed it.
And who are those who voted for him to win the 3 player of the month awards this season?

Or his colleagues also voted him to win the 3 awards?

The same fans that voted for him to win the 3 player of the month awards are the ones you are now castigating for not voting him but voting Herrera as the POTY.

Nah for you o elampiro.

And it is happening for the first time?

Anyway, to me the Players votes are the most important and most dependable because they are the real professionals who understand the game.

The PFA player of the year is voted by Premier league players. Not fans. Fans can be carried away by sentiments and looks.
It is not happening for the first time. It has always been like that. There are seasons when there's a split like that before.

You should also remember that past players are also part of the fans that voted. This voting system has a large sample size compared to that voted by the players only.

The Matt Busby Player of the Year Award is the most recognised and most documented.

I know this, but it used to be the one voted by players that is the ultimate- sir Busby. Why a shift of the goalpost?

Valencia won it in 2011, DeGea last three years with players votes used
There's no shift in goal post. It has always been like that. Like i said, the Matt Busby Player of the Year award voted for by the fans is the ultimate.

Yes, Valencia won the Player's Player of the Year Award in 2011/12 season and he also won the Matt Busby Player of the Year Award that same season. There can be a split between the fans' choice and the player's choice. That's exactly what happened this season.

I understand it now

Valencia won the one voted by players.

Herrera won the one voted by fans.

I thought it used to be just one voted by players. That is how I have understood it over the years. It has always been Players' Player of the year.

Anyway, both are our players.
Both are our players but the one won by Herrera which is the Matt Busby Player of the Year award is the ultimate. It is the same trophy won that's been by De Gea in the past three season or thereabout. Also won by CR7, Nistlerooy etc.

The Matt Busby Award was established in 1988 as MUFC Members Player of the Year award but was renamed Matt Busby Player of the Year award after Matt Busby in 1996.

Lol! Herrera a SHIT player according to some canopy analyst on this forum won the POTY.

Those who voted for him to win it must be blind to see that he's a SHIT player.

The Poole that one was suggesting to play as our DM wasn't even shotlisted for anything not to talk of winning a spoon. Lol!

If some people on this forum are given the opportunity to coach this our team, i swear they'll relegate this team to League two with the type of players they'll be using.

'HE MADE ME INTO A ROBOT' - FORMER MAN UTD BOSS VAN GAAL SLAMMED BY SCHNEIDERLIN

The France international has opened up on his testing spell at Old Trafford, with a move to Everton required to bring enjoyment back to his game
Morgan Schneiderlin has accused Louis van Gaal of turning him into “a robot” at Manchester United by removing all freedom from his game.
The France international was taken to Old Trafford by the Dutch coach in a big-money transfer in the summer of 2015.

He arrived as one of the most highly-rated midfielders in the Premier League, but left for Everton in January 2017 having struggled to make the expected impact.
Schneiderlin believes that is down to the methods of a manager who tried to stifle him, with Van Gaal seeking to turn him into a different player than the one he signed.
Speaking to French newspaper
L’Equipe , the 27-year-old said: “This first year with Louis Van Gaal sticks in the throat.

“I didn’t take any pleasure on the pitch. He left me little freedom in my game, even though I have quite a lot of experience in the Premier League.
“With him, I felt like playing a robot. They said to me, ‘You must never go and get the ball in this part of the pitch, you must not do this, that’. These instructions may have disturbed me a little.

“When a player wonders during a game – ‘But what does the coach want me to do in this situation?’ – he begins to be less efficient. Especially at Manchester United, in a context where all matches are scrutinised by the media and where one can quickly be criticised from everywhere.”
Schneiderlin made 39 appearances in all competitions under Van Gaal in the 2015-16 campaign, but was an unused substitute in United’s FA Cup triumph.
He then failed to break into the side once Jose Mourinho inherited the managerial reins, with a £20 million move made to Everton during the winter transfer window.

a lw should be running backward when opponent player, a defender for that matter is holding the ball in his half huh ah!
Why should he be the one doing the pressing? Where were others that played centrally and more advanced?

So, Eric Dier played as a defender in that match. No further response.

Good you said when your team is been attack, in martial's case, Eric Dier was holding the ball close to his 18 yard box, instead of Martial to press him he was running backward to join LB. mou effect. Stop denying the fact mou play coward football, mostly against top team.
If he played at LW, why will he be the one to do the pressing when there are other attacking midfielders who are closer to him?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by tess1(m): 8:46am On May 16, 2017
hensben:
They think quality players is their problem, mou tactics is. He set up hid team to play like stoke city just to get one or two trophies for self aggravation. When the players are tired of his exhaustive tactics they rabel against him by under performing, just for him to get sacked.
And the team had more shots and more shots on target than Stoke and even your team.

The team also has more key passes than stoke and your team.

The team missed the most big chances in the league. That's more than stoke and your team.

If you have a personal beef with Mou, just say it.

I saw martial against Tottenham running back to join LB in defense when Eric Dier was with the ball in their half, I just laugh and shake my head.
So in the system your your team plays, Hazard doesn't do any defensive duties. He doesn't go back to assist your wingbacks when the team is being attacked.

With quality chances we can work with Rashford. You don't expect Rash to form superman with all those aerial balls. Give him balls on the ground that he can run to and he will leave defenders behind. With quality guys behind him he will perform much better. Unless Mourinho sticks to his aerial balls.
We cannot rely on Rashford alone as our striker. The guy is just 19yrs old and still learning. There are lots of times when he misses ground chances as well. We equally need experienced striker as part of our immediate need in the team. Rashford is for the future.

Even when we bought Rooney as an explosive striker, we had Ruud and Saha who were totally different from Rooney.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by tess1(m): 7:06pm On May 15, 2017
eph12:
Yes we have the money for everybody but we should have priorities. This is same position we bought best player in Germany for. Competition is good but it's no use having unhappy players especially when we are just returning to the top. The CM RW and explosive LB should be the priority now. Nothing exciting here at all. We still have Mata and Mkhi that can fit in well into that number 10.
You guys are not even talking about buying a good striker.

Since Ibra isn't going to be part of the team, we are left with only Rashford. The were tmes in the past when we have at least three diffetent quality strikers at a time. We need to return to those days so that all these chances being wasted will be converted.
