Danhumprey:As good as Blind is good at passing, we all know his limitations when there's a counter and his aerial weakness. Can he always cover for Blind? No. He's a disaster waiting to happen. |
Diademk07:I know you want to start defending your Blind to continue as our centre defender. How Smalling at fault for 3 goals scored by Newcastle? You always like take few games out of so many games to rubbish/praise players you hate/like. We can now see how good your Morgan that you said was better than Smalling is fairing without Kante. We can see how he's being exposed here and there. I told you that it's Kante that's protecting that defence. I'm not here for your long drawn argument. I have stated my opinion. |
Diademk07:Due to being isolated caused them to be losing possession? If that's the case all other players should've been losing it at the rate they were losing it. I believe JM started them because they can run with the ball the same way Rashford can do as well but they're more experienced. Though, I know we had problem in the midfield with the way Pogba played in that game. The fact remains they were piss poor. |
My take on yesterday's match is that we have no reason for losing the match other than because cause we has two passengers in Micki and Lingard in the first half. These two players did virtually nothing in the first half. Micki's own was just too obvious. Not saying he's a bad player but he'll have to really up his game in order to make a mark in EPL. There was a loose ball that was played into his front on the right side away from Man City's defender which he could still chase and Valencia pointed to the ball for him to chase, he just relaxed and left it for City's defender to recover the ball with no challenge. As sluggish as Mata is, he would've contested for that ball and probably won it. This is EPL where you must chase every 50 - 50 ball because you may be the lucky one. For the umpteenth time Blind isn't a defender. We have a good defender in Smalling, one of our best two defenders last season. Why wasting him on the bench? Bailly made a miscalculation which any defender can make. But does he have at partner that can cover such mistakes? NO. Those fans comparing Blind to Smalling can now see. Pogba needs to learn. He's a good player and he's still young. He needs to always release the ball on time for any available team mate, that's what will bring his qualities out. Not romancing the ball excessively and eventually losing possession and putting his team mates under unnecessary pressure. The season is still a long way to go. I hope JM will learn from this and do The right thing to improve our play. |
"But I want to talk about facts. I want to be clear, I do not want to play mind games too early, although they seem to want to start. But I have seen some facts. On 1 November, they played Hull and Mr Ferguson had a two-match touchline ban and a £10,000 fine after confronting Mike Dean, the referee, for improper conduct. VS "During the Respect campaign – and this is a fact – Mr Ferguson was charged by the FA for improper conduct after comments made about Martin Atkinson and Keith Hackett. He was not punished. He is the only manager in the league that cannot be punished for these things." What is the fact here? In one breath, you said somebody was two-match touchline ban and a £10,000 fine for improper conduct. In another breath, he said this same person was the only manager it the league that cannot be punished for improper conduct. What's he talking? This man was under intense pressure and he was looking for excuses in case he lose the league titles. |
The conspiracy theory that this guy is bringing up is an absurdity of the highest order. That elbow by Aguero is totally a red card offence. That's why it generated so much media attention immediately after the incident. Former referees Graham Poll and Dermot Gallagher both said it's a red card offence. DERMOT SAYS: It's a red card. I can't defend the referee. I was taught, look at his fist, if a player is going to throw his arm out violently, he has to clench his fist. Will he face retrospective action? I honestly don't know, because none of the officials witnessed that act. It's difficult to say the referee has not seen that, but he has not recognised it. Until the FA speak to the referee, we won't know, because he hasn't even given a free-kick. You comparing this particular one to the one against Sanchez is really laughable because Arsenal got a penalty for it while West Ham didn't get a free kick and Aguero didn't get a caution. This simply means the referee didn't see it. If we must accept your opinion about the whole issue that the referee saw it, then Aguero himself must be a part of your conspiracy. Aguero must have been paid to throw such elbow so as for him to get a straight red card or be banned later (in case the referee refused to give him a red card). Why did Aguero throw that elbow to make your conspiracy work? It is only when such things happens and somehow benefits Man Utd (in your opinion) that you people always bring up this conspiracy that Man Utd buys it's way to the top but when it happens other way round you people keep quiet as if nothing happened. In April 2011, Man Utd played against West Ham and Rooney swore into a TV camera which the match referee Lee Mason saw as nothing and rightly did nothing about. The FA took up the matter which didn't have any punishment in their laws and gave Rooney a two-match suspension. This made Rooney miss our FA Cup semi final match against Man City which Man City won and went ahead to win the cup in the final. This is what Harsley said about that as well: “I was in the same boat as Lee Mason that time when Wayne Rooney swore into a TV camera in a game at West Ham. No referee would have sent off for that, but Lee came under pressure to report that he hadn’t seen it but would have given a red card if he had seen it." What do you have to say about this? Always looking for excuses for their long drawn failure in the league. |
Saw this on twitter "Being an Arsenal fan should be included in 1000 ways to die" |
Diademk07:Yinmu! He looks better as a CDM and Warren Joyce has used him as a defender in 6/7 U21 matches for us. You must know more than him. LVG brought him on the 91st minute and so much rated him that he never used him again until he was sacked. |
Diademk07:He played 15 competitive matches for Newport County before he was bought by Man Utd and all those matches were as a defender. He played three competitive matches for Wales as U17, all were in the defence. Why is it so difficult for you to tell me the matches you've seen him play as a midfielder and as a defender for Man Utd. If he's alternating between the defence and the midfield, let's know the number of matches. How did LVG give a player that was sub on at 91 mins a midfield cameo? Phil Jones must be a midfielder because he has been given a midfield role in matches. If his best position is midfield, by now he would've been playing more there. You don't even know the player you are talking about very well. It is when you've lost the argument that it is now irritating you. |
Diademk07:SMH! Since you can't provide the matches he has played as a midfielder, how many matches of him playing as a midfielder have watched to have convinced you he can be a good midfielder? Just state the matches. |
Diademk07:Carrick and Fletcher are not defenders. Whether it was a gift or not, we won there while your god LVG couldn't win there last season. IBRA brilliance? Was that not the reason why we brought him? Or was he supposed to show such brilliance to score against us? Or is IBRA not our player? You are now so confuse that you didn't expect IBRA to show his brilliance for us. |
Diademk07:All these nah stories. Give me a competitive match he played as a midfielder before he was later converted to CB that you saw that makes you canvass that he should be our DM. You are here telling cock crows at dawn story. |
Diademk07:Shinji Kagawa is a shit number 10 because he couldn't produce 2+ key passes since he has been playing there. Last weekend against Bayern, he couldn't even produce 1 key pass and through pass as a number 10. He isn't different from Herrera. He got dispossessed anyhow. No wonder elampiro was calling him Indomie player. NOTE: Anytime you are rubbishing Herrera, always know that you are also rubbishing Shinji according to your standard of 2+ key passes. |
Diademk07:When did Carrick and Fletcher become experienced defenders. Mc Nair, Varela and cbj are proper defenders. Whether it's set piece or not we lost because of the clueless one. Those defence that played against Westham and Wolfsburg were worse. |
Diademk07:Tell me how many competitive matches he played as a midfielder before he was moved to the defence. Poole is a defender who has played across the back four but centre defence has been the position he has played most since his Cardiff/Newport County days. Phil Jones is a defender but was sometimes used as a midfielder. Does that now mean we should convert him or that he is a midfielder? You keep on bandying Poole all over the thread. Your own kind of coach |
Diademk07:You never disappoint. I said it that you just hate Herrera. Excuses upon excuses for Shinji not being able to make 2+ key passes ever. He's no longer just a number 10 but a play maker or a box to box midfielder. When it comes to Nagasaki, it's excuses galore. Tell me any number 10 that doesn't drop deep when the team is defending. Go and watch Bilbao's matches and come and tell us if Herrera wasn't dropping to their defence as well. Majority of his game in 2011/12 season, he played as a number 10 and that was the reason why SAF bought him. Most of his career play has been as a number 10, then as a LM. Shinji Kagawa is a shit player. |
Diademk07:So you don't even know that SAF won matches with worse defense. This confirms again that you hardly watch our matches. In December 2009 we went away to Westham with Evra, Brown, Gary Neville as a CB and Fletcher as our right back. 24 mins into the match, Gary Neville got injured and Carrick came in to replace him with Kuszack as our keeper. We won that match 4 - 0. I think this was followed by a match in the UCL away to Wolfsburg where we played three defenders in a 3-5-2 formation because of injuries. Evra, Carrick and Fletcher were our defenders with Kuszack as our keeper. We won the match 3 - 1. LVG was a confirmed useless coach. |
AdisaOwala:Lol! The same Regan Poole that is a defender but being used as a DM once in a while in the youth team? Poole has played majority of his play time as a defender. |
Diademk07:2+? This just shows how much you hate Herrera. Shinji Kagawa is so good that you adopted his name as your former username here (kagawa10). He is one of your favourite player that should be playing as a proper number 10 that you also use him to rubbish Mata. Somebody once asked you who would pick between Kagawa and Mata as your number 10 and you answered it's Kagawa. Also, you went to the extent of exaggerating how brilliant and fantastic he was when deployed as a number 10 when he was still our player. These are the extents to which you worship him and he can do no wrong. Lo behold! Shinji Kagawa has never achieved a 2+ key passes per match in his entire career as a number 10. He only averaged 1.8 (0.2 higher than Herrera's best) in his best season at Dortmund but you still describe him as a fantastic player. As a matter of fact he was dispossessed 2.1 per match. Since you've now said that a good number 10 should be giving 2+ key passes per match, it simply means Shinji Kagawa too is a shit player. Can you just imagine Shinji Kagawa played full 90mins against Bayern as a number 10 in German Super Cup and couldn't make a single key pass throughout. Last season he only averaged 1.4 key pass. Furthermore, Mata who has been delivering 2+ key passes throughout his career before he came to Man Utd is also a shit player according to you but Shinji isn't. Your usual way to rubbish him is to always say he's a SS. I could remember one post you made in the past where you questioned why Moyes went to buy Mata when we already had Kagawa. This is exactly why you hate them so much. It's just the same thing you have been showing here if a player you don't like is bought, you'll continue finding faults to rubbish such player. Ditto Mourinho. Your sense of judgement is totally faulty and biased. We can now see your hero, your god, Shinji Kagawa is a shit number 10. |
Diademk07:Good, I'll respond to this in the morning. |
Diademk07:I knew you'd avoid the question. This shows that you just hate the player for no reason(s) the way you hate some other players. That's exactly why I asked that question. |
Diademk07:That's exactly my point that if Depay didn't disappoint he wouldn't have used him. It wasn't as if it was in his plan to start using him. Blackkett was as a result of injuries to lot of players. Shaw wasn't match fit when he was bought. He bought Martial who was already a part of Monaco squad and he was an expensive buy. You have not answered my question about a number 10's key passes. |
Diademk07:Was Phil Jones not on the bench? Why didn't he start him if he was fit to be on the bench? That still doesn't say we should lose that match cos SAF has fielded worse defence the past and we still won. |
Diademk07:A player that has played preseason for two years with the senior team and has gone on loan spell severally doesn't need to go on loan again because of injury if LVG was really ready to play him. He didn't also start playing him until November last year which also shows that if he didn't have issue with Depay, he wouldn't have started using him. |
Diademk07:We looked rubbish in every department but we beat them as against last season when they beat us with all the possession we had. The same Bournemouth defence that you called shit defence was the same defence that we couldn't break down last season. |
Diademk07:He had 1.6 passes which was still okay. If you say that's not good enough, what number of key passes will make a number 10 decent? |
Diademk07:Why then didn't he use him after he came back from injury if he was really serious about giving him play time instead of letting him go out on loan again? Then eph12 was right that he had no choice but to use him the last season which any coach would've done. |
Diademk07:Which Lingard was in our first team in LVG's first season? How many games did he play during that season? |
Leroy Sane played regularly in the Schalke team towards the end of last season. |
Mourinho: "I have so many good players. I arrive in the dressing room after the match and I was happy but then I become sad. I arrive there & all the other guys are there in their nice Paul Smith suit but not a tracksuit, not playing, not even on bench. So when I look to @Memphis, @carras16 and @PhilJones4, all these guys I don't select. I am desperate for September." |
Yesterday's match was good but there's room for improvement. We are now more compact in the midfield and the defence. Unlike before when an opposition player will just run through our midfield to the defence like when you put a hot knife through butter. Intensity and ball transition are improving. Not the type of drowsy play we witnessed under LVG who cherishes possession over winning. Players are now playing with a lot of freedom and enjoyment. One can see the happiness brimming through the team. Play will definitely improve as games increase. When I looked at our bench yesterday, it was so strong. Substitution can be made without a drop in the standard of our play. Not to talk of those that were not in the team. Mourinho has really improved this team. It shows that he really watched our matches last season and knew exactly the first choice players he needed to improve our game. This is a total turn around. |
