pslm23: Nekai,
Where are you? England or the US?
Is he still a student? Does he have a job?
Either way, the dude has money to party and club around and also spend on the newest "mumu" girl draped around his arm. If he could have unprotected seexx with you then he is doing the same with other girls and sooner or later there'll be many more girls pregnant for him out there. Once a dog, always a dog!
Go after hime with all you've got for child support. He should pay. Even if it is $1/week, let that pathetic SOB pay for the upkeep of his children. Maybe if he was a bit more civil towards you and acted like a fukking real man, we wouldn't be having this conversation. He is nothing but a punk and he should be treated as such!
Don't hold your breath thinking he'll come around because he won't unless God punishes him and he is unable to have any more children when he really wants them. That's when they usually remember the child they abandoned and then they come begging and blaming the devil for thier wickedness and act of abandonment. Only in the movies, the guy has shown that he is very capable. 1 time, twins. What are the odds? The guy will probably find someone else and have a new family. Someone he likes. I need to ask the OP this though, what is it about you that he doesnt like? Are you sure you guys were in a relationship or you were just Friends with benefits( if you answer truly no one will judge you, i will personally block you and fight for you here ) |

Ma_J_Blige: Even SaharaReporters doesnt go the way people on NL now goes.
Opposition apart. It is a shame that many commentators in here have resorted into using uncouth languages on the President just to make a point.
Names like GEJ is a fool. GEJ is dumb. GEJ is waiting to explode. GEJ will soon die. GEJ is a jackass. GEJ is a m, oron. GEJ is a buffon and more like that, are not necessary against someone who is a father, apart from being a sitting President.
I read SR comments but they seem to be more cultured than the ones on NL - Seun. Dont let them give NL a bad name. Opposition and differences apart. Lead by example. You people have not taught GEJ how to talk. So dont be angry when some Nigerian's show similar traits. It runs in the blood. If our presido can talk anyhow, so can we. |

Nekai: It isn't about the money for me. It is more about the principle. I am sure if he is ordered to pay child support it would be very little. And do you know that motherhood is a full time job?? Imagine working a 10 hour shift and coming home to feed a baby (or babies) that eat every 3 hours around the clock. And on your day off? More round the clock baby time. Even a mother with one child doesn't have it easy. Who would look at a baby as a money making venture? Maybe those women who date basketball stars and other wealthy men. Can you get child support from someone that is not legally allowed to work in the country? Only allowed school jobs? Did his father get you pregnant? They cant make him talk to you, you think they can force him to feed you? Do you think the father doesnt have other children to take care of, that he will now take care of all your responsibilities? If he decides to not work will you suck his blood? You better decide what you want to do before he finishes his education and runs away. The earlier you get civil the better for you. |

There are also Ijebu lagosian's by the way. Their area is Ikorodu. And there are Egun's. So it is not only Awori. But the families are known. |

manny4life: I'm not running off tangent; I was only saying "besides" lagos is highly multicultural. I don't care whether yoruba or not, if you have the feat to do so, again by all means. I know I would not go to yoruba land to do so, but if he chose to, that is the option, let the voters decide. Lagos has eligibility requirements to become a governor, if he decided he met each and every one of them, go for it and same applies to you. If you think you met the eligibility requirement to be a governor of my state, by all mean. Just because his running does not mean you nor I will vote for him, but at least that's the chose he embarked on. Sure, even you knows that it is ridiculous. You are trying to be politically correct, and you know it is something you will not take that is why you will not do it. |

Even if he was does he understand traditions and culture of the place? Forget being born somewhere. This is not America, we have different traditions and norms that even if you live there for a 100 years you will never understand. So lets leave story for tortoise. When the East and the North are ready to become progressive, have developed their states and have shown by example then we can follow suit. Till date we have not seen that trend. True it's no one size fits all democracy, but I'm still insisting that cultural barriers shouldn't stop a candidate. Will you be okay for a Yoruba man to become Governor, dont go off the tangent and try to make excuses for why Lagos is different. Lagos is by and LARGE MAJORLY YORUBA! As your village sits on so much oil wealth and your people are fighting like mad to control their resources is it okay for me to come and manage it for you? Considering Nigerian thieving politicians, especially one that has nothing in common with you? |

Nekai: Priority #1 for me would be that he be in the boys life and actually care about them. Since it doesn't look like he will "come around" anytime soon, then I would want a judge to find him responsible so that he will be on their birth certificate, and start paying something, even if a minimal amount. I think he is going about his merry way living his life like the boys don't exist. @TewMuch it's interesting to have a male perspective, but I don't know if I am quite ready to contact him just yet. It's really sad, but if he waits 5 years to start coming around then I have to just ignore the fact that he wasn't there before?? The pregnancy and the last 4 months since they have been here has been the hardest thing I have ever went through. There was even a point where the doctors thought it was a less then 50/50 chance that they would make it. It has been a lifetime for me. Then there is the fact that as a single parent I get snide comments and dirty looks from people who assume that I am just an uneducated ghetto girl. (To be honest I even got looks and comments from some of my own extended family members which hurt worse) He will never understand how it feels to look in these boys eyes and know that they are depending on me for everything. Even if he comes around later and plays an active role in their lives it will not erase the past.
This is why I kind of want to file child support. If he is too overwhelmed to provide the physical, mental and psychological support then maybe he can contribute financial support.
Maybe I should just forget about him altogether? You can file for child support doesnt mean he will pay it. His father's money is not his money, trust me an international student probably makes minimum wage depending on your state. That was $5 in my time. If you look for child support from him, prepare to go on welfare. Probably cant pay his own rent. From the looks of things, he will see it as you made the CHOICE to have the kids and he didnt, so you will take care of them. He is also not an American, a judge can make whatever ruling he likes. The guy can always leave the country and leave you broke. The sooner you make him comfortable the bettter for you. His father is unlikely to pick up his responsibility |

manny4life: Go to your father village is the same mentality holding Nigerians backwards. You and I very well know that would the possibility of him doing that is slim, but my question is, just because it's unacceptable, isn't it legal? That is how it works. Democracy works in different ways and every one modifies it to suit thier country. There is no one size fits all for democrazy. Whatever works for a country is what will happen. Can you let a Yoruba man become governor in your State? And let him decide your resources? Please answer the question first. |

manny4life: I think people are just missing the effin point.
Mr. Dangote has every right to run for governor if he meet the eligibility requirements; residential requirements happen to be one of them. However, let the polls decide if he would be governor or not. Please stop the bickering and face the fact. That is not how it is done in Nigeria. Everyone goes to their father's village to contest, simple. Let Kano be the first to break that tradition or Enugu, as we know these people will never do it. So why demand that of Yoruba's? What you wont take in your father's house dont go to another person's house and demand it. You are Ogoni, can you fathom a Yoruba coming to say he wants to be governor of your state, with all the oil resources and lead all the militants there? Abegi |
