Politics / Re: Govt Officials Blame The US For Arms Purchase Scandal. by texaco1: 8:21am On Sep 18, 2014
But please let us all know that this information isn't an official information from the nigerian authorities. Anonymous source can be anybody from a cleaner to a driver ,etc . I don't believe the nigerian govt will be so silly to accuse the usa govt like this considering the fact that there american agents with the nigerian army presently training our soldiers

It doesnt work that way my friend.Black market arms deal cannot be done via bank cable transfer.Dont you know transactions are monitored?
why do nigeria need to go to the black market to buy arms for her army? Someone asked a sensible question here this thread, which was if this deal was between the sa govt and nigeria govt ,why not invite the dealer to nigeria? What is the job of the sa embassy in nigeria? Don't they have a military attache at the sa embassy in nigeria? Why do nigeria even need to do it in an hush hush manner ?one thing is glaringly clear and that is the sa government was not privy to this deal.

This doesn't make any sense. There are countries and many arms dealers that will sell arms to nigeria without the approval of the americans. If this deal was between sa government and the fg,why do they need to pay in cash? A simple bank transfer would have prevented all these problems .why carry cash from nigeria is a private charter flight to sa without any single govt representative to purchase arms for nigeria and without even notifying the sa goovt of your arrival if truly they are waiting and expecting you

richkids1: I love this thread. Thanks Guys
this thread was created last year,it is very possible some of the banks given high rating here could have slipped while those given low ratings could have improved . So pls do more investigation and with the introduction of outward westernunion service and paypal into the nigeria system .things would definitely have changed.

Jakpon: Damboa, Marte, Dikwa, Limankara, Gamboru-Ngala, Banki, Ashgashiya - all in Borno state are also still in the control of Boko Haram

There was a report on sunday about the abduction of 100 women at Michika in Adamawa state, thats the same Michika the NA told us has been rid of Boko fighters
7 towns!!!!!!! I won't be surprised if boko haram successfully attack a state capital and take it over. This is no longer apc vs pdp stuff

jmaine: Dude is a propaganda agent for BH . . . I have seen privileged videos of this insurgents looting attacked areas, and no where have they ever been more than over a hundred . . . .

All they do is launch a blitz attack from various angle at once with their heavy weaponries, using the element of surprise and shock to daze the unsuspecting army formation to submission . . .

It is very clear, that the attack on Konduga would have been a huge success if the NA weren't prepared . . . . .Forget about this Fulani sitrep guy trying to downplay the recent brutal loss of BH . . . . . .

I understand where you are coming from, his claims would still be analysed. The guy can like to make BH look like what they are not. He is always contradicting himself. I have been following his blog for sometime now, his assertions are mostly flawed. Real defence analysts just ignore him.
one thing is certain and which noone is disputing and that is boko haram is keen on attacking maiduguri ,I think the military aUthorities should go on the offensive against this rebel army called boko haram instead of concentrating the tactics on defensive. Like the saying goes the best way to defend is to attack

tokunboh: Ignore the fulan Boko basterrrd. His analysis is so warped. Boko haram would rather use those 400 men as suicide bombers than use them to test their might on maiduguri. Rubbish.
there are some sensible points in the write up which can't and shouldn't be ignored

Naijavibz: Students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho (LAUTECH) have lynched a man suspected to be an armed robber and rapist following high incidence of crime.

The students have in recent past been victims of theft, burglary, assault and rape.

It was then to them a day of justice and revenge when on Saturday, September 6, they caught one of the perpetrators of the crimes in the act.

The students initially did not assault the suspect, simply identified as Segun, opting to alert the Students Union leadership, Tribune reports.

It was decided that the suspect be taken to the police in the Union's bus.

Unfortunately, they had an accident on their way to the police station.

The Speaker of the Students Representative Council, Olalekan Salami and 14 other students sustained severe injuries.

Student Pulse gathered that things took a sour turn when the students discovered that the criminal they were escorting mysteriously had no injuries.

Suspecting foul play and some sort of voodoo manipulations, they stripped him naked and beat him up.

It took the intervention of the top officials of the university to convince the students to release the suspect to the police.

After much drama, the criminal was finally handed over to the police.

The Area Commander and the District Police Officer assured the students of maximum security for the school and the town forthwith.

Hmmmm, it is obvious seun is under immense pressure and he is just agreeing to all demands by these so called aggrieved members. Seun nairaland operates from the south west of nigeria ,and it is a known fact that many high ranking and low ranking politicians are members of nairaland . If indeed seun made that statement that apc are boko haram sponsors then he should have expected reactions from apc politicians who are members of apc. They have the machinery to frustrate nairaland . This is my own advice to seun ,stay out of political discussions and debates ,be an unbiased umpire and apply forum rules strictly without prejudice, sentiment or preference.
