This will be an interesting thread and I the seun and the mods should allow this thread to thrive ,so that ppl can air their views about what they feel or think nairaland is not doing right which might affect it negatively. The quality of topics has definitely diminished to say the least and I raised this issue some time back too.

it all depends on ur pocket and budget ,but one thing I will advise u is to avoid nigerians when u get to ghana . Accra is beautiful and u will love it . Affordable Hotels starts from 70 cedis and maybe 100 cedis . When u get to accra , there is a nice area which is quiet ,ask for cantonment area ,this area is where most embassies are located there is a very cheap hotel about 5 minutes trek to the south korean embassy ,it is an inn really . I don't know how much they charge now but last year it was 70 cedis . Osu ,dankw circle is a place u will meet many nationals and it is also near where the former president was staying. Find an hotel in osu area ,lot of whites people there and a nice place to be at night,the beach is also near ,I stayed at the cantonment area close to the us emabssy and captain kooks resturant for four years and never regretted it. But if u are on a tight budget then go to an hotel behind mokola market ,I have forgotten the name but it a 3 storey hotel and it is where u can get affordable accomodation,single room was 70cedis , really nice place and the good thing is the close proximity to makola market ,there is a woman that sells yoruba food believe me it is better than those they sell in nigeria sef. I wish I could go on .have a nice trip .

the best place is ibadan ,there is a seller that sells all gospel oldies there ,when I was in nigeria last I didn't have the chance of going there . you are getting it all wrong. Ogd is a typical nigerian politician. No nigerian politician has any ideology ,it is all about personal interest and power. Nigerian politicians will move to any party that will guarantee them both wealth and power ,and since they are all the same the host party will welcome them . Eg , oyinlola was welcomed with fanfare into the apc despite the fact that apc knowledge how ooyinlola rigged his elections . Secondly atiku left pdp went to ac n ,later went back to pdp and now he is back to apc as an aspiring presidential candidate. You must realise that in nigeria politics ,it is the importance ,influence and popularity of party members that gives the party edge over other parties not the party manifestos or party ideology. So with daniel and some few influential members in ogun labour party believe me ogun state labour party is nothing

Boko haram agreeing to release the girls has just confirmed the thought all along that the issue of bh was tied too the pdp presidential ticket and all bh attacks was aimed to discredit and discourage gej was picking the ticket. Now that the issue of presidential candidate has been settled and gej has become the party candidate I guess the sponsors of bh has seen that there is no more reason to keep the girls .

let me try and explain things to you. You see the construction industry is a different industry entirely because patronage oof ones business is based on personal contact and relationship with ppl. In a normal marketing sense u may have a product and just walk up to anyone and sell ur product unfortunately this isn't the case in the building industry ,most of the time u need ppl to refer and recommend you to other practitioners and builders. I am sorry to deflate ur expectation but online stuff won't do ur block industry anything. You need to do 3 things ,first is you need to join a party in nigeria ,this will enable to to mix and know a wide range of people , you also need to widen ur scope of business by doing building constructions , you will need to get to know some architects and builders ,you need to mix with professionals in the building industry ,familiarize urself with them, then last but not the least don't limit ur products to blocks alone ,try and include other things ,buy interior decoration bulbs or items samples from china or Italy,show them to ppl you have gotten to know both through the party or building ,they may not make orders immidiately but they will start noticing you . Sooner or later if an opportunity comes up they will remember you. The main thing is you need to know ppl .

Join a political party in nigeria ,that is the first step to take in order to be a very successful businessman in nigeria
