MEILYN: Lol, i dont celebrate it anyway. So i dont have to think about how they came up with it.
So let me ask you. I don't know if you are married, but here's the question:

1. Would you marry, or are you married to a Christian?

2. If so, would you allow your children to be Christians?

Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by texanomaly(op): 12:46am On Dec 28, 2013
To be honest I never gave it a thought why Christ's birth is celebrated on December 25th. I knew it couldn't be around that time, but no one knows when for sure. I just figured someone picked a date. I guess they did. You are right. I'm sure Christians wanted to cover up a pagan holiday.
I'm not condoning it. I'm just acknowledging it.
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by texanomaly(op): 12:40am On Dec 28, 2013
MEILYN: Of all the days. Why december 25th grin? Why not 26th?
I don't know. As I said, I was not aware it was a pagan holiday until this thread. "You learn something new everyday."

Privacy, as we know it in the USA, is now gone completely.

As far as HIPPA. Won't you rather have your local CDC warn you that the family next door has contagious tuberculosis? I know I would.[/quote]I believe there is a stipulation in the statute for that eventuality.

okeyxyz: Obviously, you have no idea whatsoever about this christianity you so readily criticize and ridicule. In your purporting to be smart, you expose your ignorance. Even @logicboy who claims he used to be a christian, now we know he was just pretending to be christian, cos he has no knowledge of it's principles grin grin grin. I give you just one passage, though there are many:

31“Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32“For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you(matthew 6:31-33).
I'm not sure that includes private jets, big houses and huge stadium sized chaples, while the people who are supposed to be served starve to death.

Huh?

Uyi Iredia: Thanks a lot smiley I just decided to take some time off Nairaland. I followed the site for a while as a guest and stopped visiting after my BIS expired. The move has been worth my while. It feels good to be 23, though the growing responsibilities and expectations that come with age have been weighing on me. And my Dad is doing fine. He's enjoying the yuletide. My sister made sure of that with the dish she made for him.
I'm so relieved to hear your dad is doing okay. Give him my regards. Sorry about the early greeting. Excuse above. Miss you. Happy Birthday again.

PoliticsRe: For Those Who Claim Sudan As An Example For Nigeria by texanomaly(f): 2:17am On Dec 27, 2013
DerideGull: The reason for the war is manifested by the myopic attitude towards disintegration by Africans such as you. There should be no wars if Africans have learnt to managed their businesses without intrusion of an outsides. In addition, the inability of African to manage their rude tendencies to assume control of things that do not even legally belong to them.

There are many countries that have disintegrated lately. For example, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and USSR have peacefully disintegrated except Yugoslavia that had little hitch which has been resolved.

The timidity you and ilk seemed to display towards disintegration of Nigeria explains the reason why African countries remain unprogressive and perpetually suffer under the devilish pressure of colonialism.

Even a mad man can discern from afar that Nigeria is a practical joke.
If they bolded is true, are you sure that it doesn't have more to do with your curupt leadership.

Alfa Seltzer: It really annoys me when white people that caused this problem in the first place think they know better than us how we should live our lives.
I wasn't even born when Nigeria became a country. How did I cause it's problems? As far as I know you were not born then either. History speaks for itself though. World history, specifically the rise and fall of civilizations happens to be a hobby. Pick up a history book. Learn something.

Besides...that's why I'm here, to learn. Tell me the points I brought up will not be a problem, or give me some kind of solution. Don't be condescending and then tell me I'm wrong.

macof: Hey Texas beauty

When Nigeria divides it won't be into 2 but 3....and that's even managing because we were about different 10 ethno nations before the English.

We were all living fine before 'Nigeria' and we would even do better after 'Nigeria'

It would be a sacrifice for a better future, a better future of ethnic pride and national development away from discrimination and bigotry.
Brotherhood and love, our culture and language conserved and developed better.
Okay...let's play it your way. Nigeria separates into 3 or 4, as some here have suggested. Which btw, bodes even worse for the new countries. Address the issues I brought forward. Usually you divide a post up and address each point. If you think these issues will be nonexistent, you are not thinking realistically. You are thinking whimsically. You are better at debate than this. I've seen it. Don't try to spare my feelings. I can take it. I promise you. wink
