Mr Troll: Tehehehehehe. That's in the bible. ![]() Oh yeah, You don't believe anything in the bible. Use your rational mind. Why do you think animals are here on earth? What is their purpose? Maybe you don't think they have one. I'm interested to know your thoughts on the matter. Pray tell, Mr Troll. |
Mr Troll: (c) he's living in denial.Leave Josh alone you bully. ![]() |

Ranchhoddas: are my eyes deceiving me?are you the same person on the religion section or is this your alter-ego?I wasn't aware that religious people don't have sex. Hmm. You learn something knew everyday. |
Uyi Iredia: @ OP: I actually as a matter of habit (for the same reasons you had which I once shared) write Christmas and hardly ever 'Xmas'. I can identify with Christmas and the lesson of goodwill to all men from Christ's story. However, just as (Catholic) Christians coopted pagan rituals and holiday date in making Christmas so also non-Christians can coopt elements and lessons of Christmas too. By the way, compliments of the seasonThanks...you too |
Mr Troll: See as all of una just agree with amoh don't be such a baby... ![]() |
Deep Sight: Really to be honest, I don't think it is necessary to refer to old threads, for two reasons. One, there are too many of them on too many different topics, and two: they may not be particularly useful in light of the fact that you already express a firm belief in God.Thank you Deep Sight: Well the pursuit of Truth has been a lifelong passion since I was a child. It has led me through a labyrinth of religions and philosophies from around the globe. As such I have been orthodox Christian, Jehovah's witness, Buddhist enthusiast, Islamic reader and enthusiast, studied such works as the Grail Message, and Confucian, Taoist and Hindu teachings, studied with the Rosicrucian Order, been agnostic, and even briefly atheist. While these varied excursions have been greatly enlightening for me, I am not certain that they are useful or necessary for everyone. The pursuit of truth is necessary for this life: but each will find his or her way within the trajectory of life.Cool. (Simplistic word. I know, but apropos none the less.) If you kept a journal during this time, it would be a fascinating read. I’m sure. Deep Sight: Today, I am quite settled, and for a long time too, as a believer in the existence of God and purpose in creation. I believe that the earth is a school, where souls come to learn and improve their spiritual strength, consciousness and enlightenment. I believe in Karma.I agree with the bolded. I would add; we came here to earth to gain a body. A body is a necessary component if we are to learn and improve spiritual strength, consciousness and enlightenment, as you stated. The physical body gives our souls an added test of self-control impossible to achieve in spirit form. This body gives us the opportunity to learn far more than our spiritual selves could possibly fathom. Deep Sight: For a long time I was a great antagonist of religion, as you will see in many of my older posts, and went to great lengths to criticize and deconstruct most religious tenets which I saw as false and absurd. I no longer believe that this is necessary or even wise, except where the most extreme and harmful religious practices are concerned. I now understand that religion plays a critical part in the spiritual and social evolution of man, and that many people still need its crutches to understand and apprehend their world, and make sense of their existence. This is not something to begrudge anybody, so long as it is benign, and so long as it is not laced with unreasonable prejudices and unreasonable intolerance. Indeed there are many core benefits for mankind within religion, even though I feel that the truly liberated and developed spirit does not need its crutches and its limitations.I agree with much in this paragraph. I feel the need to point out one thing though. Religion is only limiting if one allows it to be. Deep Sight: In terms of particular discipline, I only seek to practice love of all mankind and nature, I commune with my God quietly by myself, and I believe very strongly in charity, fostering help, and avoiding all forms of ill will or negativity whatsoever.Nice! You sound like a hippie from ‘60s. Not necessarily a bad thing. Deep Sight: Deep meditation on existential reality is also an abiding habit and obsession, but not one I would recommend for anyone, for it can lead to existential distraction. Living a wholesome, passionate and loving life with goals towards the improvement of humanity as a whole is thus, in my mind, a more simple and necessary target for everyone. There is nothing with which every man is so afraid as getting to know how enormously much he is capable of doing and becoming. Soren Kierkegaard Deep Sight: A grand and profound collection it no doubt is, and I still retain my copy amongst many other scriptures of other religions and walks of life. However it is a fact that the bible has been significantly tampered with, does not represent the whole of scripture, and is by no means strictly without error.I believe the bolded to be true. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I do appreciate it. ![]() |
dagr8: Where is VickyO? Is she sleeping?Keep dreaming. ![]() |
yemi2plus: Who called my name?*Looks around* |
MEILYN: Haibe. This your post, just made me hate you.The bolded is a strong word. He is a liar, because he doesn't believe the way you do? smh |

MEILYN: Lol. But now, do you believe he was black?I think he's iridescent. ![]() |
Mintayo: I love the bolded-His message.Thanx ![]() |
MEILYN: yea, i understand you. If the colour doesnt matter, then why was it changed? Why did you try to prove he wasnt black? That was not my intent. I just wanted you to get your facts straight. ![]() |
MEILYN: loool. Did i call you a slave owner?btw...I know it's Mormon. You said you used to be one. Remember? |
MEILYN: loool. Did i call you a slave owner?smh...No, I don't know exactly how many Native Americans were killed. I can guarantee I know more about Native American History than you. You don't grow up in the Arizona public school system, and live amid a myriad Indian Reservations, and not know Native American History from both sides. I am also well aware of how this nation came to be, and the bloodshed that laid it's foundation, and subsequent growth. And? You said yourself, “God let all this sufferings on us because we did not keep his commandment.” It is all part of the ‘Plan’. I agree with you there. Let’s put on our seatbelts, cuz it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. ![]() |
jay bee: @OPThere's a "report to seun channel"? I did not know this. |
MEILYN: Oh. Lets forget about you now. You are an IsraeliteYou know what? I am sick and tired of people calling me a slave owner. Let me spell this out for you. I HAVE NEVER, I REPEAT, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, AND I SAY AGAIN; N E V E R OWNED A SLAVE. No one in the united states has owned a slave since after the civil war. I admit it took a while to get things straightened out, and racial leanings still exist. I however am not, and have never had such leanings. I was raised by a father who had antiquated notions about what he called "colored" people, and spent my formative years in societies that were not race friendly. Fortunately for me, I have never been one to take others opinions at face value. I make my own decisions about what I choose to believe. "My stubborn no be small in dis O!" If we are talking who enslaved blacks, where did these white men get the slaves? Who really sold/traded them into slavery? The white men of that time are definitely culpable, but take responsibility for the black men who raided other tribes, and sold or traded those men, woman and children off like cattle. Don't pretend that black and white are not both to blame. As for the Native Americans, I am well aware of their status, and which tribe they belong to. Since we are on the subject of Lamanites, yes I know exactly who these Israelites are, Which country and people imported more slaves than even the United States. The answer is Argentina. So...who enslaved more Jews MEILYN? My bubble, btw is securely intact. I suggest you blow up another one. Better yet, fill it with water to give it more weight. You're gonna need it. With all due respect. |
Jbluv55: Shall I take the cross/yoke off you then?Whatsapp? On PC now. I have an iPhone 5 and some cheap Virgin mobile phone I've never heard of. Like I said, "It is user error. I'm sure." |
ATMC: @amfm I picked a paper...on it is written iPad tablet...whoa!Mine says: "an invisible entity punches AMFM in the face, and knocks him off his chair" ![]() ![]() |
MEILYN: you have to care about hw he looks mam...I have heard all my life that Christ is black, and that Christ is white. Perhaps this is why I have no preference. I am proud to say, "It has never made a difference to me one way or the other." I try to see people for who they are. Not what color they are. When we all stop putting black or white in front of man, we can all become human. |
[quote author=Larry-Sun]I love you too. *blushes* |
princesa: so i guess its no ish if i turn e-male and toast you eh? ![]() |
