This one is for Logicboy, because he falsely accused me of being a hypocrite. While I’m sure I can be hypocritical about some things, who isn’t, I was not in this case. I can't deny my faith. So, without further ado, this one is for you LB. http://vimeo.com/55948649 |

CFCfan: I think the 'green' agenda is also being vigorously pushed here in the US. The main goal of the 'green' movement is to enrich the pockets of the elite.I would agree that 'green' practices are being pushed in the US. I do not, however, agree that it is to enrich the elite. Below is an example of why I believe your statement is inaccurate. Recycling is a part of the 'green' agenda, as you call it. It is important for the environment, and beneficial to communities. Everyone benefits from recycling. Recycling programs in cities throughout the United States are a good example of this. Here in Lubbock, there is a big push to recycle. There are recycling locations throughout the city. They are run by The City of Lubbock Sanitation Department. Items left at these locations are taken to a recycling facility. These facilities take unwanted items and refuse, and turn them into usable products. Facilities such as this also sell items to commercial recycling companies. This money is placed in city coffers to help pay salaries. and provide needed sanitation services for our community. The money earned also helps reduce sanitation taxes. Let's look at this from your point of view. 'Green' thinking is a mechanism to help the elite. Let me ask you this. Where does your trash go after it is picked up? There are no garbage fairies. Someone has to pick it up and haul it away. Where is it taken? It is taken to landfills. Landfills are continually digging wider and deeper holes for our waste. Recycling helps slow their growth. Without recycling, there may eventually be landfills bigger than cities. The trash has to go somewhere. You may wonder what all this has to do with global warming. Landfills produce a dangerous greenhouse gas called methane. Recycling and reducing garbage that is piling up in landfills helps fight global warming. These recycle locations and facilities provided jobs to the community, reduce taxes and help control ever expanding landfills. Recycling also helps reduce greenhouse gasses, which contribute to global warming. So, now tell me that the 'green' movement is for the benefit of the elite. |
aManFromMars: Evening, everyone. You and your family are in my prayers. Sorry for your lose sKeeter. |
Ok...this is not a complaint, but I don't know what to do with it. Seun probably gets a ton of email a day, so I wasn't sure if he would get it. So here goes. @ Seun and any others involved in the change in what I see when I log in. Thanks for this: Nairaland Forum Welcome, ??: Edit Profile / FT / NT / LK / FG / FS / Trending / Recent / New / Logout / Ads I like that everything is visable, weather there is anything to check or not. It makes navigating much easier. Thanks again. ![]() |
jonescyras: Hi guy!Seun is right here. See a dentist. Find out your options. Surgery always comes with risks. Keep that in mind. |
LogoDWhiz: An accident happened to me a couple of years ago in which I lost a tooth and got one broken...I don't know pricing info in Nigeria, but I can tell you what needs to be done. See a dentist for the broken tooth. As long as the nerve is exposed, you will have pain. It can be capped or crowned. I have two porcelain crowns You can get a bridge for the missing tooth. It is a removable apparatus with a fake tooth on it. The fake tooth is attached to the tooth on either side of it. The dentist will know the best coarse of action. |
aManFromMars: Of course, there will be no benefits to the masses at all..Thank you sKeeter. I was thinking the same thing, with the same amount of sarcasm. ![]() |
Tovot: hello everyone..........Hey Tovie. How are you? |
vickyO: Same here. howdy |
Fake messages
Shouldn't the worry here be, how much of it is true? Weather the message is fake, or not, is inconsequential. The questions should be:What is your take on the content? How much of it is true? What can be done to improve the situation? |
vickyO: Hi, how're you?Oops. Didn't mean to do that twice. Hiya! I am great. You? |

Mr Knowitall: I believe that the United States has one of the best eco friendly policies in the world but more can be done.I agree. More can always be done. |
Billyonaire: NoTo cut off your nose to spite your face: is to do something because you are angry, even when you know it will cause trouble for you. |
Billyonaire: That's the truth, that's the fact. Africa is the source of raw materials for industrialization and Africa is the one to provide balance for the harm caused by the Industrial Complexes, Africa must maintain natural ecosystem and wildlife, while "developed" nations continue with their wanton megalomaniac lives. Mr Knowitall: ^^^First of all, there are stringent laws in the United States regarding pollution. Pollution causing factories and other commercial intities are highly regulated here. Secondly, the forestry industry is also regulated by the government. For every tree cut down, so many others must be planted in its place. |
