Logicboy03: -Just like Jesus, I always knew that Amanfrommars would be a judas to atheists since last year (I didnt know it would be to me)Can an atheist be a prophet? According to definitions 1-4, NO proph·et [prof-it] noun 1. a person who speaks for God or a deity, or by divine inspiration. 2. a. a person chosen to speak for God and to guide the people of Israel: Moses was the greatest of Old Testament prophets. b. This one maybe. ![]() 5. a person regarded as, or claiming to be, an inspired teacher or leader. |
NL being more pretty (like Facebook) cannot be overlooked, because itz a forum... There are a lot of good looking forums today. All I am saying is that NL's design should be better than this.
Nothing wrong with pretty, if it can be done cost effectively. While NL is entertaining and educational to us, it is a business to Seun. So Seun, what say you? Prettier? ![]() |
vcvibes: Ah would like to be getting notification on my quoted post so dat ah can easily replyNice one. ![]() |

aManFromMars: Actually, I did that on purpose. I just needed to hear you say this.smh... aManFromMars: NB: you never got back to me on that modified post. still confused as to what went wrong there. If you didn't modify the video, I can't imagine how it got changed. I did not send 'Shut Up' to LB. Mysterious tinz...spooky |

Tovot: I am doing great,I'm good. I don't work till tonight, so I guess I need to go for a run some time today, or go to the gym. Other than that I'm hangin' with you. ![]() |
aManFromMars: Agreed. Though you'd be making a mistake if you'd identify loving your neighbor, caring for the sick and lowly as 'Christian' morals. Truth is they aren't. Atheists, despite their lack of belief, understand the value of these roles in creating a peaceful society.Once again...pic and chose the parts that give you a supposed advantage. You conveniently left this part out when you quoted me... texanomaly: Some may choose to disregard what they have been taught, but it is there none the less.People who act and believe the way you described are not true Christians. aManFromMars: Not sure I quite get you here.Yeah. I figured. |
ebamma: Is God willing to prevent*rolls eyes* Here we go again.... Here is my response to that... https://www.nairaland.com/1328270/god-does-not-allow-things#16305388 Now you come back with the same response I hear every time this debate comes up. Then someone else chimes in with another 'canned' response....and the cycle begins again. There has got to be a better way. |
onetrack: Christian values and, to a lesser extent, Jewish values are themselves largely based on pagan Hellenistic philosophies such as the Stoics, as well as the thinking of Plato. Judaism and Christianity are not exclusively the beginning of 'modern' moral values. If you will read my statement and the post I was referring to, you will realize I was talking strictly about the atheists raised in a Christian home. I was referring to the fact that their value systems were created as children, and can not be uninstalled. So to speak. Some may choose to disregard what they have been taught, but it is there none the less. You can't claim that you would have had good moral character despite your upbringing, if it is all you know. No amount of study and history can negate those core values. They will always be there. All I am saying is that a child's upbringing is undoubtedly the foundation for the building of his character. In the case of the atheist raised as a Christian, he has a moral center established by those parameters. I am not here to debate where or when Christianity came about. Something else I find interesting is the fact that atheist condemn superstition, witchcraft and the existence of any God(s), Yet they are not opposed to using them, when they feel it gives them an advantage. |
Oluwaseytiano: you are still living with ur head in the sandI find Mr Troll's statement interesting. Many, not all, of the atheist here on NL were raised as Christians, by their own admission. They have no personal evidence that this particular hypothesis has any scientific credence. How would they know? The fact that they are atheist now, does not negate the fact they spent their formative years as Christians. Mr Troll, weather you like, it or not, your current value system and morality are based on a Christian upbringing. There is no escaping it. Somewhere in your subconscious, are those values you learned as a child. How can you differentiate from whence your value system is derived. |
I sometimes hate this smiley som people com to Nairaland to claim Face Of Maclean.. When their teeth is not even close to white.. Say the truth n The truth will set u free.. So when we finally get to meet u so we can know if a gas mask n a tinted spectacle is appropriate mmttcchew someone like Anselm n Logicboy.. I can swear that their teeths are not white yet they keep using this smiley when people like me that av pure white teeth use this ![]()
There are no teeth in that pic. How do I know they are white. As for LB's teeth, what do I care if his teeth are white or not. I don't judge people by their appearance. I was commenting on your pic. That is a good looking guy. From this post, I have to wonder if the beauty is only skin deep. |

Logicboy03: The big bang isnt false. It is the besxt explanation scientists can come up with. It is just that any creation or universe origin theory will ever be complete....we just have the big bang as the most sensible one and the bible creationism as one of the most ridiculous onessmh...your 'so called' logic is showing... |
I don't exactly agree wit you. Because jesus didn't have a donkey doesn't mean pastors shouldn't have jets. Jesus died on the cross, should oda pastors die on the cross too? With wat you have said, your claim is dat no rich pastor is a true follower of Christ.
You totally ignored the important part of Logicboys post. |
harlos: Thank you texYou're welcome ![]() |
