This is the beginning of the end of God in school. If the government can stop one group from having the right to live their beliefs, what's next? Is a cross around ones neck a part of the school uniform? If not, it should not be allowed.
Is teaching from a biblical point of view a secular practice? Is prayer a secular practice. From what I understand these things are happening daily in Nigerian schools. Even at University. If Christians start this, they will live to regret it when God is removed from any part of school.
If the government is allowed to say "no hijab" what will be next...Crosses, prayers, Bibles, speaking about God?
Where does censorship end...When no one has any rights and politicians are the only ones satisfied. |

mrofficial: I hope the bigots on Nairaland will read this and do something that will alleviate Nigeria from her state and not this Hijab nonsense that they are trying to impose to our public schools.
When broadcasting of miracles on our local TVs was banned, the Christians didn't take the decision to court. It's a thing of common sense.
They should appeal. I'm sure they will lose over and over. No patriotic and sensible person should carry religion on his/her head. People who put religion on their heads are part of the problems in Nigeria today. Do you wear a cross? |

messpero90: d book is important dan d word Are you serious? You are saying it doesn't matter what it says on the inside as long as it says "Bible" on the outside? I guess that means it doesn't matter if the person knows what it says on the inside, or if he believes it, or even if he lives it? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Ur Opinion On Ipad Replacing Bible by texanomaly(f): 8:14pm On Oct 20, 2014 |
morefire: HABA calm down now
he just wanted to get our opinion now He did not simply ask for an opinion. He made his opinion of others' opinions apparent after asking for opinions. You can't ask for opinions, and condemn any that are opposed to yours all in one breath. Not if you seriously want to hear them. messpero90: can u cast demons with ur ipad? Can anyone cast demons out with a Bible, or does it take a person with faith to wheeled the power of God? A Bible has no "power" on its own. iPads and other electronic devices bring "The Word" to more and more people these days. That is not a bad thing. Reading a paper Bible does not guarantee the reader will adhere to its teachings. Keeping a Bible next to the bed where you commit adultery does not make it less a sin. Waving a Bible around does not make a person holy or powerful. Acting on faith in the power of God is where real spiritual power comes from. Knowing what the Bible says and acting on that which you've read is what gives a person power. Spiritual power comes from God. It is not the book itself. It is faith in Jesus Christ and His teachings. Acting on that faith through Christ is where the power of God comes from, not from words on a page. |

LordReed: It was a World War even before the Germans invaded Poland. Why? They had an alliance with Japan which was going to push into Russian territory after defeating China. Which conflict started yesterday that has global ramifications? Which of the current conflicts had any global significant event happen yesterday?
I have pointed out several conflicts that had potential for World War and so many crises that exist around the world one can't even mention, if we look at that then World War has started since probably the Korean War. I'll give you this one. |

LordReed: Yes of course. Was the previous 2 World Wars not broadcast in print and on the airwaves? Keep deluding yourself. Let me play devils advocate for a moment here... There were all kinds of headlines about the Germans before World War II became a "World War". It was hindsight that would tell us the beginning. Even then, every country has a different version of "when" it started. I'm sure the countries closest to Germany would say it started when Hitler invaded them. People of Jewish decent, might say sooner. The French and the English might say it became a "world war" when their countries where attacked. The Russians were certainly taken by surprise. The Americans, while aiding from the sidelines, did not fully commit till after Pearl Harbor was bombed. So, whose to say World War III has not begun? This is what I meant by observation. |

akpanakwaibom: road projects by Amvile construction Concrete roads don't last long without rebar to stabilize them. This road will crumble and be more dangerous than it was as dirt before long. Is there no civil engineer for this project? This is like putting a band aide on an arterial bleed. It is great that things are getting done, but if it is not done right it will only make more problems latter. This will cost more to fix later than it is worth now. |

LordReed: Observation of what? Since the end of the second world war there have been so many conflicts to trigger another world war. Korean war, Vietnam war, Cuban crises, Afghanistan war, Iran Iraq war, Balkan war, Soviet union breakup, Israeli Arab wars, Iraq Kuwait war/Iraq vs Coalition war and so on. War is not a new fact so for some dumbass to point to some regional conflict and prophesy a world war is just a jobless rabble rouser. You are no fun at all. |
