My take on this.

Everyone involved in pension scams should be speedily tried, convicted and shot publicly in televised firing squads.

No plea bargains, no deals cut to returns stolen loot. All stolen funds must be coughed up, all assets seized and confiscated with extreme prejudice.

No. YOU are finished, because all the education in the world has failed to instill common sense in your head.

People with sense have been telling you and your fellow myopic clowns that there was no merger of the subjects...they are just being put in a group called 'Religious and National Values' and will remain as distinct subjects yet you people are going to town with wrong info.

I'm just tired of you fellows.
Education › Re: Most Respected Universities In Nigeria by texazzpete(m): 7:20am On Apr 19, 2016
Someone who writes like he was educated in a mechanic workshop ranked Universities based on 'personal research' and people who write in flawless grammar are arguing with him.

Is this not a sign of severe confusion?

From the first line, it should have been apparent the OP clearly lacks the competence to make this type of judgment. Or at least his judgment should not be taken seriously

How did such a low level, utterly daft hoax make it to the front page?
Phones › Re: The Most Likely Reason Why Ntel SIM Is Still Scarce by texazzpete(m):
Rubbish. That line of reasoning holds no water.

Remember at Ntel launching, Ntel promises that first 100,000 subscribers will be getting free on-net calls for life and also free 3 months of data services.

Now, you shouldn’t expect Ntel after promising all that, to throw up their SIMs in the air just like that.
Actually, yes we should expect Ntel to sell their SIM cards. No matter what scenario you look at, the chances of them selling 100k SIM cards and selling out is absolutely zero. Don't overestimate demand.

The real reason why Ntel isn't on sale is that they were not ready at all. The only reason why they 'launched' on April 8th was because of the dubious benefit of launching on a date (08/04) that looks like their number (0804). Unfortunately, that plan has now backfired, with the launch buzz dying down and potential customers becoming increasingly irate.

Meanwhile, we still see their army of twitter bots spamming us with 'news' that Ntel has 'started service'.

The OP is posting misleading information, anyway. Saying the Ntel SIM is 'scarce' indicates that it is on sale but supplies are limited or cannot meet demand. As far as I know, not a single SIM card has been sold to the general public and Ntel has yet to announce any retail locations.

In summary, Ntel are not ready or serious. Their marketing is crap, the website is shi'tty, and they keep putting out contradictory info about their network, their services and compatible devices.

Why should I 'correct' you for mistakes I would not expect a secondary school student to make? Even when I was in JSS2, I would have been mortified to make such basic errors. Why should I be teaching you - a grown man - the difference between 'their' and 'they'?

Apologize to the community that gathered money to send you to school and your English language teacher. Pray to God for humility and promise not to eat meat for three months as penance.

Staggering how many Nairalanders cannot read or comprehend simple English.

The army is not saying it is propaganda on the part of CNN or APC. The spokesman is saying it is propaganda on the part of Boko Haram to use the girls as leverage against Nigeria.

Simple text, but the wailers are struggling to comprehend, as usual.

https://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnnnext/dam/assets/160413122344-16-chibok-girls-super-169.jpg

Maiduguri, Nigeria (CNN)They were stolen from their beds in a school dormitory: hundreds of teenage girls kidnapped by gunmen.

A few dozen escaped to tell of the night Boko Haram militants brought terror to a Nigerian girls' school.
From the rest, silence. No sign of where they had been taken or what could have happened to them for almost two years, even as the world screamed #BringBackOurGirls.

Hundreds of parents left, day after day, night after night, and then months with no information.
Until now.
CNN obtained a video of some of the "Chibok Girls" sent to negotiators by their captors as a "proof of life."
The video had been seen by negotiators and some members of the government.
But no one had shown the parents. Until now.

Rifkatu Ayuba catches sight of her long-lost, desperately missed, now 17-year-old. "My Saratu!" she wails, reaching out to a laptop screen, the closest she's been to her child in two years. She is desperate to comfort her little girl, but helpless.
Saratu Ayuba is one of 15 girls seen in the recording shown to some of the families for the first time at an emotional meeting this week. Wearing a purple abaya, with a patterned brown scarf covering her hair, Saratu stares directly into the camera.
"I felt like removing her from the screen," Ayuba tells us, desperate to pluck Saratu from the mysterious location where she is being held and bring her home. "If I could, I would have removed her from the screen."
The video is believed to have been made last December as part of negotiations between the government and Boko Haram.
It was released by someone keen to give the girls' parents hope that some of their daughters are still alive, and to motivate the government to help release them.
The girls, their hair covered and wearing long, flowing robes, line up against a dirty yellow wall. They show no obvious signs of maltreatment.
In summary, there's a video of 15 of the Chibok girls the Government has had since December 2015, which CNN has now shown to the parents.

With the girls identified by the parents and some of their fellow classmates, I hope nobody is still out there calling this a scam.

Quakertellicus1:
In some developing economies (e.g. some of the post-Soviet states), shell companies allow private entrepreneurship to survive in an environment where an inadequate legal system leads to arbitrariness and corruption. In these challenging environments, entrepreneurs operating a relatively small private business with limited resources sometimes set up shell enterprises to lower or avoid taxes, because tax avoidance or evasion may be a necessity for business survival in situations where the level of taxation is penal, government officials (including tax officials) demand bribes, working capital is in short supply, and tax legislation is hostile to private entrepreneurial businesses, e.g. when tax laws are extremely complicated and change arbitrarily and rapidly
Oh, caution is always good, i agree. But in this case, where churches are not taxed a single penny, I cannot imagine any excuse for him to indulge in tax avoidance, especially when the God he claims to worship tells Christians to pay the legal tax.

I do....but they are not particularly illegal...unless the cash there was gotten via illegal means.
Most of them use Shell companies for tax avoidance or to hide assets from divorce lawyers.

CAre to explain why a PAstor, who pays no tax for church activities should be squirreling away wealth he is not supposed to have, based on his public activities?
What other business does he have? The Bible says 'Give unto Ceaser what belongs to Ceaser'. Yet this Pastor is deliberately avoiding giving 'Ceaser' his due, despite having received a massive amount of free tax breaks.

enlightened one, ehat part of my post did you not understand. That everything is in order except the origin of the money which remains vacuous. What is so difficult to comprehend in that or the part where this could be another sensational breaking news that would come and go without any tangible thing coming from it.

This breaking news stunt is gradually losing steam as nothing of such nature has been put to bed already.

We agree on one thing I guess which is the maladministration of the previous government so the earlier this government start getting some convictions the better for them.

Nigerians are tired of this media trial.
Intellectually challenged one, this IS an actual trial. No part of what you saw there was issued by the Government. This is actual reporting from the trial. So your initial line about this being meant as a distraction is just plain inane.

What the hell do you mean by 'media trial'? I've seen these same words spouted at random by empty headed fellows, and it's annoying every time.

Opposition is a good thing, but PLEASE you owe it to the folks who sacrificed for your education to do it with common sense.
