lizzycreations: Hello bosses in the house, I have been following this thread and have few questions bothering my mind. I'm an ND holder (Banking and Finace with upper credit), I graduated last year, but i don't want to further for HND instead I will like to school abraod precisely US. My questions are: 1) Is there any program available for a candidate like me? 2) If there is, I will like to know the cost, i'm not talking about the big universities here please. I'm still a low class Nigerian who is planning for his future. And if there is any scholarship program I could apply for that could save my parents $$$, please i want enlightenment on these issues.
Thank you. Apply as undergraduate student.... do SAT TOEFL.... find schools and you will surely get admission and scholarship if you have a good SAT score.. I know some few schools that will give you full ride with good SAT score. |

OgaEngr: Good day mates. I've got one quick question. I deferred my admission from Spring 2017 to Fall 2017. Is my school not suppose to issue me a new admission letter? I informed them that I want to enroll this Fall and they replied me saying that my "admission for Spring has been activated". Hope this won't be an issue at the embassy. Nope. you will only get a new i20. admission letter remains the same. Goodluck |

adepaul419: good afternoon, please i made a mistake while filling my DS160. is there a way to make correction? thanks If its not submitted yet. fill another one. but, if you have submit it then email them for correction. I think they will do it from their end or you either fill a new ds160 and they help you replace it with the old one. |

worry357: I think the person is planning / hoping to end up with a job in the USA, not to return to Nigeria. This is quite possible, especially if they get exceptional grades as this is what employers are looking for. I am talking about possible interview questions. If she cant analyse those questions, why waste visa money? |

If she can do something like criminal justice or psychology, or what program. Do you think sshe can go for as a prerequisite. Both are okay! Psychology is very interesting! I lecture it. |

fredoricko: May this new year bring remarkable blessings to us all.
The wealth of information on this thread is to say the least priceless. I doubt if anything has been said about the financial capacity required for graduate school. It is in this vane, I implore those over there to please comment on how you all cope. It's true funding does a lot to upset tuition and some minor expenses for those who have access to monthly stipends. But in all, how much on the average would be sufficient for life in the US every month without constituting a nuisance over there- even with a well funded program? I don't know much about others, but I believe I do not only speak for myself if I say that I've always wondered about what the financial implications on my sponsor over here in Nigeria will be. I'd like for someone to please address this issues. And if it has been addressed before, then I may have missed it out of oversight; in which case I plead to be appropriately directed. cc SirRiddy texrem lagosismyhome usnobeparadise and others whose monikers now elude me. It depends on the state where the university is located. So, for a low paying state, well, on the average, you spend on housING $250-300per person off campus with shared apartment (2 bedroom apartment may cost $500-750 depending on location)and utilities of $100, then $420-480 on campus, utilities included. $100-180 /month on food. Those are the basics. You spend roughly between $500-750 monthly. ..talk of big states like dem texas, new York etc just multiply the results of low paying states by two or three. |
