Make we hear world oga, some of us keenly follow these players before they come to lime light. Osimhen has always been this physical and that was why he was always getting injured. He has never been a timid forward. By the way, Ighalo has never been known as a pacy daring physical forward. When ighalo enjoyed his little purple patch, it was Troy Deeney doing the dirty job for him. No sentiments
I never mentioned anything about him being timid or not I only agreed with him saying he learned something from him and osimehn words about ighalo being one of the players he looked up to so oga read well before attack. No be only you follow keenly we gather follow grin cheesy cheesy

Well, Osimhen had already picked up in Belgium in the 2018/19 season, but did he get enough run of games in the NT at that time period? When he did, was he effective for us?

modified
well, I can see that was when he had injuries.
well i will take it as integral stages of introducing him to gel and understand how national team football work's and honestly he never got really good chances on the field of play then so I won't really judge him with those performance.

Someone should please tell me. Those who have been following Osimhen's developement. Has Victor always been this type of physical player who brings a lot to the team even when he does not score? Look at his time in Wolfsburg and Belgium. Something tells me something just clicked in him when he understudied Ighalo. Or maybe I am wrong.
you aren't wrong my brother Victor himself mentioned ighalo as one of the players he looked up to while growing up so it possible he learned something from him during their time at afcon as ekong mentioned it in one of is video that ighalo use to tell victor he should keep working hard his time being the first choice striker will come and that was at 2019 afcon, but most people don't know this but will be happy to paint ighalo bad lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

When it gets to the next round of WC qualification players with more experience who are still active and performing can prove to be the difference. They may not be necessarily better than the current players in the team but they can bring that extra thing that may be crucial. After our qualification is sealed I do not think we need Ighalo. You guys should not forget that Rohr will not change overnight. As long as we have a coach like Rohr, we would need a little more individual brilliance in the team. Our WC qualification is far from being sealed. The next round will be very tricky.

Modified,

Don't expect Sadiq to come to the team tomorrow and make an immediate impact. They would need a little time to grow into the team. Awoniyi showed potential in that game against CAR but did not score. Moffi has not scored despite a couple runs in the team. That is what I am talking about. Ighalo can come tomorrow and make immediate impact. No stage freights, no pressures at all. For him, it is familiar terrain. We will have two legs after the group stage, and we would need players that can guarantee qualification. There will be no second chances.

Modified(2)
ADD VICTOR MOSES

Modified(3)
I would trade Musa for VicMo in a heartbeat. No sentiments, no disrespect to the former. Ahmed Musa remains an SE legend if you want to go by his exploits at the WC and more. But he can no longer give it. When a player cannot compete favorably with the new players, it already tells you his time is up.
God bless you for this some people on here don't know that it takes a while for young talent's or rookies to hit the ground running in the national team as it is different from club football, check out this screenshot below just because of one miss chance and am sure the person will clamour for more young players into the team but one mistake on match day you will see their true colours on here grin grin grin

charlesemeka85:
that is the major problem. The local coaches seem not to care about the amount that is being offered to them hence they hv the Avenue of making more from player racketting and egunje from agents

If for instance amuneke is hired and offered the same amount rohr is been paid or even more I bet you he won’t try messing up by been bribed with 2k to 5k usd just to field a player from an obscure league and club

But the urge to manage the national team knowing they have another Avenue to take in cash is too juicy for them to turn down no matter the little amount offered to them in their contract by the FA
grin grin grin no wonder 90% of the ex international's keep clamouring for local coaches to continue their padi padi business wink but their is salisu who just came back from suspension after bribery allegations into the team let keep on watching, after rorh I will prefer we get a much better foreigner with good CV and better tactics to handle the team.

A lot of you forget Siasia inherited the job from Oliseh which was filled with trouble. Same way Keshi was being sacked and not given a clear run in the qualifiers.

Have you forgotten Amodu Shuaibu kept on qualifying us for competitions but sacked for Whitees to go to the main tournament.

It is a mirage to say Nigerian coach will have problem qualifying.

Keshi qualified us for the World Cup. Won the AFCON.

Amunike deserves the job and a fair chance not the type they give a Nigerian man the job and go on a sabotaging spree.
that amodu shuaibu own pain me bro and the way dey give our indigenous coaches job isn't different from putting someone in prison because they will never have up to 80% say on the team couple with agent's bring shady deals and some of their padi trying to force unwanted players on them. sad

Ighalo looks like an honourable man..I don't think he will fall for this gimmick by Rohr and Pinnick to come back..
Remember, many fans wanted him out after that poor performance from him at the world cup..It was Rohr that stuck by him... He left when the ovation was loud...His performance at the AFCONQ and AFCON to a large extent cancelled out the memory most people had of him at the world cup..
If he return to the team with our current set up that lacks creativity,he will struggle...

Somebody like Yakubu, despite being our third all time top scorer is remembered more for his miss at the world cup than for his other goal contributions...He never got the second chance that Ighalo got
honestly I was one of does fans in 2018 I would have literally stone his Head assuming I had the opportunity to see him and true he has redeemed him self with the afcon exploit and it is better he enjoy his retirement in peace before he comes back to do something worse that will make people burn his house when it glearing 99% of the fans don't want him anymore in the team wink

Honestly I think all this confusion right now all boils down to rorh who's tactical ability is always lacking when needed and his inability to take risks, understand how to use the weapons he has presently to achieve greater things than he has done in the past, instead he seats and just believe in his rigid style of play Which has never favoured us in anyway couple with sticking to his old guns which aren't effective anymore which is one of the reason ighalo and Moses are being mentioned to come back to the team at this moment when it is glearing we have better player littered every where some are in the team without effective usage while some are still there begging for call ups. cry cry cry

am sure you can see most of my statement only came when people try to down grade igahlo and not necessarily when it was about bringing him or not and I did Same during the onuachu talks you should have also painted me same as Andrewbaba then grin grin grin in as much as we want some players to either stay in the team or get a call up it doesn't make it right to downgrade others or you expect me to support some one saying Stephen odey his better than ighalo wink wink wink

it is either you're the same person as zuchyblink or you both are brothers.

Firstly, we are in 2021 not 2015.

Also, I remember a certain Terem Pukki outscore some better strikers in EPL too some seasons ago.

Now let me ask you, his does outscoring Kane in 2015 justify your clamour for Ighalo to be recalled?
am sure you are just eager to comment and not ready to comprehend my submission on the post I quoted and I don't know zuchyblink but won't let igahlo be painted bad because of his supposed call back to the team which I never agreed to it supposedly you have seen some of my previous statement undecided

In far back water league
While his mates are in Italy doing wonders

Giroud, Zlatan etc are still balling in italy putting up goals and assists even in Spain we have Benzema

If ighalo was this good he should have been in mainstream europe scoring goals for fun since he has the experience you claimed

Oshimen, Taiwo for their age has better experience scoring high profile goals than him

He obviously need the super eagles call up to resurrect his career
be calming down bro taiwo doesn't have better experience or high profile goals than igahlo right now Yes igahlo is suplurs to requirements in the national team doesn't make him a bad player to the extent of saying taiwo has higher profile than him don't forget igahlo 2015/16 with Watford has taiwo done anything similar or higher than that and igahlo got a deal to play for man u from far away East (China) and him playing in Saudi Arabia right now doesn't mean he can't get a contract to come back to main Europe with his current form.

Amuneke u17 formation would suit this present SE setup so well.
Though I am not vouching for Amuneke because I don't trust any Nigerian coaches, despite the fact that he is tactically sound.
Can't someone like Dangote or Otedola or Abdusamad Rabiu or all of them joined together help Nigeria and Nigerians employ Wenger and give him Amuneke to act as his Nigerian Assistant? Wenger has been free and I know he wouldn't turn down Nigeria because overtime he has proven to love blacks. With Wenger as SE coach, na just #100 recharge voucher and players like Eze, Olise and other quality FB will rush to play for Nigeria
Wenger won't take our coaching job simply because of his FIFA position and I don't think Wenger is interested in coaching anymore.
