Mikel looks like somebody who is not interested in naija football...

I would have said he should contest for the NFF president post...

All those agbaya legends nor serious
the problem is that the constitution and election process has been highjacked by just one body out of 5 that forms the Congress which are the FA chairmans so they are the one that practically produce the nff chairmans undecided undecided undecided just imagine out of 44 congress members Wich consist of
1, FA chairmans
2. Coaches association
3. Players union
4. Refree association
5. Member of the executive committee
Only the Fa chairmans have 36 members so how Will other bodies have say or how will an ex international's win when the FA chairmans are hell bent on rotating the seat within them self grin grin grin

Last time out, Ladan Bosso took an all Northern team to embarrass himself. This time around, he appears to have learnt his lesson and called up players from the southern part.
But seriously, Bosso doesn't deserve 2nd or 3rd chances. He's a yesterday's man. I don't mind having a foreign coach for the U20s if we don't have capable grassroot coaches.
I laughed at you saying that business man learned a lesson well maybe bad business lessons as his northern boy's didn't deliver so he felt remorse and had to do a reshuffle to see what business would look like this time, and the only thing that got him the second chance is being the president of the coaches association which is part of the Congress that elect the nff president, so it more like him highjacking a slot to him which will later be called opportunity for local coachs in the national team, bunch of rogues full our football house and more jokes on them when the various age grades keeps on not developing undecided as a result of thier usual recycling of business mans tagged as coaches cool

Another interesting appointment is that of Nduka Ugbade. Strictly from a philosophical perspective. Over the years, there are things about him that made him look like a promising manager for the Super Eagles. I will share a few that caught me over the years.

We taught them the science of football...Nduka Ugbade
This is one quote from Nduka Ugbade that really thrilled me. It was short but says a lot about him. He believes there is a science behind tactical decisions and believed the 2013 U17 set gained from this knowledge.

Nduka Ugbade made me a toughie...Wilfred Ndidi
Nduka Ugbade was the academy coach that discovered and nurtured Wilfred Ndidi. He found him a smallish, slender-looking kid and horned him into a monster.

Ndidi is one of the toughest playing midfielders in Europe and he points at Nduka Ugbade being key to him developing that way.

Leicester City Have Not Seen The Best Of Iheanacho...Nduka Ugbade
Those of us who know Iheanacho understand that he is not a fast player but a highly intelligent player, trust me, he will continue to improve and score goals if he gets regular playing opportunities.”
So deep were the words of Nduka Ugbade about Iheanacho. Pointing out that most managers do not know Iheanacho as some of them (Amunike, and Manu Garba) coached him to perform excellently in the U17 which attracted the eyes of Manchester City.

Nduka Ugbade hopes to work with Iheanacho and co. who he taught the science of the game, to consolidate what he started.
I also found this so deep and interesting. He believes he still has more to pass to the 2013 U17 winning squad which makes it impressive.

I hope Nduka Ugbade has sufficient time and support to work with this next u17 to develop a good number of quality players that will fly with the Super Eagles. I also hope he goes back to the process of thorough screening of players around the country.

Wishing him the best.
am happy with nduka's appointment but the problem here is that how did ladan bosso retained his position after failing with the last wuruwuru under 20 sqaud, and salisu Yusuf alone having 3 positions to him self while he isn't even the best local coach here in Nigeria not even in the Npfl shocked shocked shocked well some of the committee members actually used style to let us know they where just there ceremonially the decisions where from the oga at the top and the rogues in the white house wink

Is it true Amaju Pinnick has agreed to step down as NFF president? Well if true, I'd say his effort and love for the Eagles during his time have been average. But it's even more appreciated that he has set a new benchmark to step down which is unlike many public officials in Nigeria. However his decision to step down is hinged on family reason and not because he considers his failures as president of the football federation a justification to do so. However we are grateful for his time managing football affairs in the country. My grouse with him is not about the national team. But rather the cadet teams. Whatever success we enjoyed in 2015 under 17 World Cup were less of his effort. I hope whoever steps in can at least help with out under 17 team. If that's the only World Cup I'd enjoy Nigeria winning let it always continue to be so.
trust pinnick's words at your own peril, some one Godwin Enakhena called on his show and try to whine him to give vardict on him assuring the public about not contesting, only for pinnick to get angry and tell Godwin he isn't a kid as he knows the gimmick Godwin was trying to pull, and he his only making that statement at this moment because of his family doesn't support the 3rd term because they want him around.
To me na sakamaje just to cool off the heat of the moment when it time for the election we will know the truth grin grin grin

The first one was Osimhen just getting something on the ball, u could see him asking Ademola lookman why he didn't give him a shout.

What did Osimhen say that was so badhuh I didn't see anybody saying Ronaldo should not have taken that bicycle kick against Juventus because it was in the quarter finals of the champions league. Just saying "don't take over head kicks" is a basic argument but if u want to go the route of bringing the ball down are we saying the Ghanaians would just stand there and watch as he takes his time to shoot? Mind u he would have to head the ball down meaning it definitely would be up for grabs.
so you want me to believe in does scenario he did a bicycle kick that his the only option available and every other players in the world would have done Same what a joke of a statement, he tried the first one it didn't work out try another thing next time that what ikpeba was pointing out and in Ronaldo's case he tried bicycle kick twice in that match one was blocked by a defender and the other one went in, bale did it once in the final of same season and it was a goal grin grin grin
Osimehn have been in Same situation at his club side severally tell me how many bicycle kicks has he attempted at Napoli not to talk of doing it more than once in a match when it wasn't even going on target, osimehn at Napoli would have done something different and might result to penalty that why he has the highest penalty won in the top 5 leagues wink

There's nothing to argue there. Coach Waldrum said she hasn't been playing well since she became the captain and that's absolutely true. Right from the Summer Series in the US, she hasn't been at her best in the NT colors.

Since she was injured, Ebi has been the captain. She's 38 and looks fit to be given the role as she's both the oldest squad member and the highest capped too.

The change had nothing to do with Instagram.
once again I don't want to argue since you don't know about her being stripped of the captain ban in the first instance I won't waste my time arguing with you wink paint what it best suits your idea as the cause am fine with that anything that works for you wink

Sir,just reading about two Victors and i want to say not happy this is happening between an ex player and current one.

One question did Ikpeba said this as pundit on TV or went to press after the match? If he said this on live TV as pundit then nothing wrong even i watching the match live said to a friend that Osimehn need to calm down cos i saw Lookman saying something like Osimehn am here after a bicycle kick inside.18 yard box but do we blame Victor NO,he was eager for our qualification.......

....i do not want to talk about Oshoala cos women will always act like women.

If truly it was on live TV Ikpeba said this and Victor Osimehn reacted like this then he need to be called to order that such criticism will always bring the best out of him especially from some one who has seen it all.

I remeber how Omeruo wife reacted to Okocha criticism and i was like what a hell imagine my wife calling out my boss for criticising me......i think our players should learn from some one like Mikel who does not react to undue criticism.....Osaze Odewengie said something about Mikel openly but Mikel did not replied and i do not think Mikel was even aware or he just let it to slide....Mikel response to Okocha criticism of 2014 WC team was too mature ''he said i hate it when those that played the games talk ill of present players'' but Okocha did not even said all these as pundit on live TV.

IF Ikpeba said this as Pundit,Osimehn should keep uiet but if he goes to the press to say this then Ikpeba was damn too wrong and should apologize to Osimehn.
soon osimehn will apologize and let things slide you know in this part of the world dem dey use sinority collect first apology then ikpeba will draw him close and say he his my son matter don end honestly ikpeba was just saying his opinion due to how he feels but it sounds hypocritical because he wasn't blame Eguavoen same way he was telling osimehn to calm down with the bicycle kicks grin grin grin
