djlaqua91: Yes that's what DB said on their fb page. They said the money can only be transferred from the person stated on the form. What you can do is to ask them that if you have several persons transferring the money how do you go about that since all their names cannot fit. I'm sure they will help with a solution. Or you can have all of them transfer to one person so that the person also transfers it to your account t 1 Like |

Hi Guys, Has anyone applied to Passau University? My friend has applied but has still not heard from them regarding her admission. She is worried sick as you can imagine. She hasn't opened her block account yet and we all know how long that takes. I think the course is MSC sustainable developmennt. Do they keep this long in rolling out admissions? 1 Like 1 Share |

iyke24all: Tick the option that says I reside in another country and write Nigeria as the country. For the TIN you can use your passport number or write N/A and include a signed letter that you don't have a Tax number. Either way works. Just don't leave it empty especially the Tax Number 1 Like |

iyke24all: Is the money coming from your account? If yes don't tick that box. However if the money is coming from someone else's account you need to tick that box and state the person's full name as shown on their account. You then need to state the relationship with this person and the source of their fund. Source of fund could be salary. You also have to attach the bank statement. Also make sure when transferring the money it is made from the bank account of the person you stated in the form. You can put in any amount like 100 Euros. I am not very sure of this though you can ask the Deutsch Bank Facebook page for further clarity. They are very responsive You have have any doubts ask the DB fb page or anyone here before posting. You can't afford a rejection at this point. 1 Like |

What is his I'm seeing on the DB fb page. If you are using the new forms please take note. The money would have to be transferred from the account indicated in the bank opening form. But the fb page may not be so accurate as they are not the student department. But please play it safe just in case

iwuchukwu1: Please let him book an appointment at the auslander office(for sponsorship of student). He needs to proof income (at least 2500 Euros), also if he has dependents this amount will increase and they will also check his police records. Also he needs to show or proof motivation for sponsorship. They will then approve his sponsorship form and he would have to mail to you |

Mikelion: Hmmm I would have advised you to use a different schengen visa. The German embassy hardly grants tourist visas but here are the answers to your questions. 1. As a freelancer do you have contracts, business receipts, just anything to show that you have a viable source of income? 2. They said colour copy so please get a coloured photocopy of your passport(data page) 3. Hotel reservation and the contact details of the hotel as you are going as a visitor 1 Like |

Kelvinpam: I asked the girl and she said it doesn't matter, I don't have to pay and that when the decisions are made in August she will let me know. But then she sent a mail in August that I won't be getting it but I'm on the waiting list. I've found a place though at Burbach Wohneheim 1 Like |

Alumith: Yes you can use a sponsor. Just specify this person's name in the form and also specify the source of funds- whether savings, salaries or whatever . Then you add his bank account. It doesn't matter if he does not bear your same name. You can write Uncle or explain the relation you have with him |

The journey hasn't been easy o. I haven't gotten my Visa yet but I'm at the last stage. Just sharing information anyone would find helpful. Sent my Bank documents to DB on the 4th, they received on the 7th, on the 15th I got a rejection email because I left the tax component empty. Please if you are unsure of your TIN (Tax Identification Number), just fill in your passport number. I resent the documents and I got my account details on the 27th. Then I funded on the 4th of August and got a deposit confirmation on the 18th of August. I have sent my confirmation to the embassy and awaiting the results. All the best to everyone. If you are still in the process of filling DB forms please do it well. You cant afford any delays at this point. Make sure the account statement you attach has at least the minimum amount=8640. Also if the money will not be transferred by you, state the person in the form and attache their bank statement. If you have multiple sources, please state them and add all the account statements. A lot of people are getting rejections because of this. If you have a scholarship, please insist that the scholarship letter states the amount (at least 8640). I am going to Siegen, currently looking for accommodation. I feel like I've gained so much knowledge from the whole process as I had already applied in April but withrew 5 Likes |

dailydolar: That's also fine but in the sponsorship letter they have to state the amount ; at least 8640 either to be paid in lump sum or to be paid in a monthly installment of 720 euros. Is the scholarship for 2 years or 1 year |

johnsonnob: You can get a sponsorship letter from someone resident in Germany. That person needs to go to the alien office to fill a form or something like that. Then they have to send you an original copy of the form. Then you can use that as a proof of finance |

Hi guys. I credited my account last week Thursday, 4th of August. I still haven't received any alert from Deutsche Bank. Is this normal? Seeing as I made some one directly deposit cash into my account. Person went to one of the DB branches. I have a deposit slip as proof. The waiting is killing me. How long did you have to wait for confirmation after account has been credited |

Just to update every one on my student Visa process. I had my interview on the 4th of July and immediately after I sent the bank documents to DB. (In Ghana, you only open the account after the interview). The interview was pretty straight forward. - Why the school - Why the programme - Information in the sponsor (Sponsor is a UK citizen who is my fiance) - etc Then she asked me to open the account but I had brought the documents to the interview. So I paid for attestation right there and posted it by DHL. It arrived after 2 days. After 2 weeks I got an email stating that my account could not be opened because I didn't complete the tax information section. I resent the application(no need for embassy to attest) and exactly 9 days after it arrived I received my account opening details. I am going to fund the account tomorrow and I'm meant to send the confirmation to the embassy. My Fiance in the Uthis going to Germany to deposit it directly into my blocked account. Will update you guys on my progress 4 Likes |

Ghanaian passport. I enquired but they said the old form is still valid till 31st July. But then you have to still put in 8640 and you need a supplementary form for that. celestialAgent: |
