He is wrong! Land should go to the people or their local communities not the state (except for small strategic areas designated as federal lands for national security). I was in Lagos not too long ago and I found out that the state raises revenue via taxes and then turns around gives it to the local governments. So dumb. LGA's should be able raise their own revenue and provide services for their own constituents. This way you encourage civic participation by the people and reduce the possibility of money passing through many hands further reducing the possibility of corruption.

If only they stopped at giving individuals landownership rights. How land is transfered can be worked out by state. It would solve the dead capital issue and give banks a reason to lend if land is collateral.

Wow that's an amazing. Im surprised virtually everyone is dependent on the rain. Im sure the farmers could invest more if they could access capital to improve. Other than that state water boards have to do better at providing water to residents of the state.

One good start would be repealing the land use act. Their land would be collateral for loans.



Dont farmers store their crops in grain silos? A functional commodity exchange would help in that area. The government has to fix the roads.
