no i havent been there but ive seen pics (kinda) and i haven't heard of any slum like places. (maybe there are some but not many)
well its mostly from what ive heard, but i guess youre right, it only matters if ive been there.
but from seeing the pics of lagos, ill choose my other option

i did not agree with mama-gee but i did notice that most guys were careless about their smell or felt that being "musty" wasn't a problem.
but im not the one in here arguing with people or losing my head over some dumb topic that "most nigerian men have body odor" cause i know thats not true.
besides, its not only people in nigeria that deal with this, its everywhere.
my only problem is that they either can't afford deodorant or they don't feel it is a necessity.

I'm really not surprised. a lot of nollywood actors and actresses are middle class or kinda broke.
only the really good ones or household names like genevieve, ramsey, omotola, ini edo, jim iyke, stephanie okereke nko, are not broke.
if you're good or in the league of genenvieve nko, you'll make money. more or less $8,000-$9,000 a movie.
if you're not really up to par, maybe $3,000 or $4,000
so yeah, not really surprised.

that's why all of these actresses get married to rich guys, or at least thats what i think.

i could only name 10 people from the whole of gollywood. what kind of industry is that? LOLOL!! 8 of which can't act or are just so/so.

well people that have lived in both places have given their testimonies, people that have done their NYSC there, people that have traveled their think so. even while i was in naija my uncles were telling me about calabar since they have traveled there. so i think i'll take their word for it. besides, i havent heard any bad thing about calabar yet. maybe cross river (in other parts) but not calabar.
Lagos is nice (this island) and that is not even the majority of Lagos.
im sure calabar may have some ruff areas too, but not in abundance or as bad like Lagos.
