Recall they pulled out of the AU and refused to host CHAN (or was it AFCON?) because of their fear of Ebola? A united bid between the US, Canada and Mexico would help to mitigate age-long tensions between the US and Mexico, and probably further cement US-Canada relations...it is a good strategic choice.
