TheArchangel: The revenue generation tilts more to the southwest cos of the presence of the nation's seaports. Establish ports in the SS and see all this stats balancing. The proximity of businesses close to ports is a major factor here. Check the revenues of those farther from the seaports and you'll understand perfectly. You guys always have excuses! Chai! What stops the 5 SE states from establishing a joint port? Do you know that while you are busy arguing and complaining, Lagos is building a new port in Badagry? Kontinue developing other people's regions you here! Oshi! |

Mazeltovscotty: If we are to hold the view that Lagos state economy is being dictated by the igbos, then we must remove lagos state out of the stat, which then brings souht west down to an equal level with south east ( 5 - 5 states). However, if we are to deduct lagos state's N302,425,091,969 from the total south west IGR N414,847,500,567 then we will be having roughly about N110...,...,..., which still EXCEEDS the total south east IGR N49,934,646,220. My point is: even without lagos state, south west still beats south east in terms of IGR. I fink it is high time my igbo brothers acknowledge the fact that Performane and noise making are two parallel lines i stand to be corrected in my calculation. Thank you jare! |

Secession doesn't have to lead to war; all these senseless politicians should just shut up. I am an O'dua citizen and I want O'dua Republic to be declared. I also support Biafra's quest for political emancipation. I am sick and tired of the narcissism of the Southeast and feudalistic arrogance of the North. Enough is enough. Let's split amicably please. |

ewigmee: People should be a little diplomatic . Igbos are screaming marginalization round the world , they bring bill for South east development, you kill it. You plan to borrow money for railways across the country and you exclude only South east. Any thing for south east is cancelled .. Believe it or not, you giving the world reasons to believe the Biafran agitators stories. You are talking about projects cancelled in the Southeast, Jonathan had six years to correct the imbalance, what did he do? Diplomacy my foot; it was the same Southeast caucus that threw away the Lagos special status Bill. Abeg make we hear word, declare Biafra make all man rest. |

When Lagos demanded special status (just 1% budgetary allocation), it was the southeast that connived to make sure the bill was thrown out...what goes around, comes around. Wait for Chinedu to come here and cry marginalisation. |

obonujoker: Yoruba man, what are these states doing despite being in close proximity with the centre of excellence..... Ogun Oyo Osun?? See this Otondo! Outside Lagos, Ogun state is the most industrialised in the country; you think development is about skyscrappers and dust-stained four storey buildings that litter Onitsha? Oyo and Osun states ares vibrant peaceful and focusing on educational development of their people. Even your own people dread the southeast like a plague, that is why they are helping to 'develop' other people's state. |
