It’s about you and me

If we all have maintenance culture

Government is not to be blamed on maintenance
It's not just about you and I but about the authorities.
Maintenance all over the world is done by government or the management of the facility. When you don't make things easy, people will take shortcuts. When you don't provide waste bins and regularly evacuate the accumulated waste, people will start dumbing waste on the ground and this will become habit over time. You can't keep a toilet without running water and a standby cleaner and expect it to be clean. I have been to public toilets outside Nigeria and they are in good condition. The reason is not that their citizens are better than us but a culture that was unconsciously built over the years. Running water, tissue papers, soaps and cleaners with duty checklist.

Get sense not sentiment. Stop campaigning for PDP. They are all the same. Meanwhile you are not a lawyer wait until another lawyer or judge dispute Kayemo
You lack basic understanding. I never said PDP President or days but the very sound minds that contributed their quota in building a dynamic Nigeria. You are not a newbie to be told what Akunyili Dora did in NAFDAC or the effort made by Soludo and sustained by Sanusi. The improvement in electoral system was championed by Jega or do I need to tell you what Adesina did in agricultural sector. Is Magu doing better than what Ribadu did with EFCC? We simply need square pegs in square holes!

No wonder the country is going south daily. Everything is politics to them. I wonder how these men will feel when their principal is long gone. We have few qualified SANs in the country. The interesting thing is that 90% of the many idiots are occupying key positions in this administration. We miss those sound minds that surrounded PDP-elected presidents. The likes of Dora, Adesina, Okonjo and others. The Soludos, the Sanusis and the Jegas.

You are a disgrace to common sense. A country where one of her leaders takes 5 million dollars and stuff it into his babaringa and he was praised by the anti corruption champion. You don't know the ripple effects of these actions. Have you ever thought of having corn and pear in US? The answer is no because it's available here in Nigeria. I do not support crime in anyway but these crimes have their root causes which is failed leadership. An oil producing country that doesn't guarantee jobs to her growing youth population. No electricity, no good roads, no social intervention etc. Benin and prostitution, Igbos and drugs, Yorubas and scam and rituals, Hausa and terrorism. These affect the country greatly and are just signs of failed leadership.

I wouldn't ask why SW supported Buhari in 2015 but I still question the reason behind their 2019 support if not for greed and the asslicking you are accusing SE of. Igbos supported OBJ, Yaradua and GEJ. Igbos rejected the failure called Buhari twice. How is Igbo asslicking North? Mind you, Igbos are not afraid to contest a neutral election against a Yoruba man but we all know this is Nigeria where the ruling party will always rig. The winning chances of APC candidate irrespective of his zone is high simply because of the rigging issue. Again I will still ask the question, why did SW give Buhari a second chance?

The kind of wife you are looking for will be hard to find in the US (and the west in general). South America, Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia are places you will find women who uphold traditional female qualities and won't expect domestic input from you. As a corollary, you will be required to fulfil traditional masculine duties, especially understanding that bringing home the bacon is solely your responsibility.

Furthermore, any country that has undergone mainstream feminism tends to withers traditional women of which you seek, as they are looked down upon as people suffering from internalized misogyny. Women in the west generally are into career building, placing it above family. I am not married (still in my 20's), albeit, my ex-employer, friends and many Dutch people I know (I live in the Netherlands) actually prefer women from the aforementioned countries, solely for the same reasons you espouse.

PoliticsRe: What Nigerians Should Expect From Buhari’s Second Term by TheBeat:
Ironically, he may likely shield members of his government and top party members accused of corruption from prosecution or when even if they are charged, the charges against them may be devoid of the usual prosecutorial bite.

Keep waiting for this hypocrite. Stop the anti corruption noise and focus on real development. The war that shields every Mohamed but kills every Emeka, Gbenga and Obong. The war that shields every corrupt APC member but kills corrupt PDP members. The war that searches the house of Ekweremadu but endorses the Babaringa GanDollarje.

May I remind you that Ibori, Alamiesigh, IGP Balogun and others were jailed under corrupt PDP without noise. Adolphos Wabara and one Osuji the minister of education then resigned their positions under corrupt PDP without noise.

You simply can't give what you don't have.
Let him return our economy to what it was before the expiration of his next level brouhaha.

"I know that the election that brought me to power was marred by irregularities, let's all join hands and build a new Nigeria" Umaru Musa Yaradua. That quote was followed by the 7 point agenda and the electoral reform. Jonathan continued with the reform and was consumed by the institutional reform.

Shame on the hypocrite called Buhari. He has destroyed every good gain we made in the past. Election was bad under Obj, Yaradua started the reform and GEJ completed it. What stopped this criminal in Aso rock from perfecting the system? He even failed to sign the amended bill into law after rejecting it many times. History won't be kind with the bigot in Aso rock.

Jega improved the system. GEJ appointed him without knowing him. He had all the power to remove him but he didn't. Buhari gave the excuse of Ecowas directive on making amendments close to the election yet same hypocrite sacked CJN days to election. Quotes the law when it suits him.

Next level of what exactly?

He wasn't this hated then, but immediately he used "mago-mago" and become senate president and made an igbo man his deputy then switched to PDP, they turned their backs on him. Also, look at dogara his partner in crime, people keep saying saraki is a thief bla bla bla....dogara is also a thief but he didn't have an igbo deputy and boom he was re-elected! angry

SOME OF US WORK WITH FACTS AND NOT EMOTIONS!*
*Between Presidents Obasanjo, Jonathan and Buhari.*
*Record has it that president Obasanjo sacked his IGP Tafa Balogun for corruption.* *He sacked the then Senate President Adolfus Wabara for corruption. He also sacked his own ministers, Fabian Osuji, S.M Afolabi, Hussein Akwanga, Tim Menakaya, etc for corruption. He also sacked Mrs Mobolaji Osomo for administrative infraction. The same way late president Umaru Musa Yar’Adua sacked Mrs Adenike Grange as Minister of Health for administrative infraction.*
*It's on records that president Jonathan also sacked Stella Odua for corruption. Stella Odua was one of the most powerful ministers in president Jonathan's administration. But when she erred, President Jonathan sacked her.* *President Jonathan also sacked Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina as the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform for corruption.*
*Now, tell me who president Buhari has sacked for the reported cases of corruption in his government?*
*Mind you, If you tell me that president Buhari sacked Babachir, I will happily remind you that the same president Buhari wrote the Senate, defended and exonerated Babachir of all wrong doings leveled against him. It was the cry of people like you and me and some other good Nigerians that forced him to sack Babachir and have him replaced with his own brother, Boss Mustapha. In other words, Mr. Babachir brought his own replacement.*
*Yet, some hero worshipping obsessive dim-wits will still want me to believe that president Buhari is Mr. Integrity and that he is fighting corruption.*
*Let me also remind you that president Buhari also reappointed the following guys who were all sacked for corruption and violation of their oaths of offices:*
*Abdulrasheed Maina:*
*Maina was the chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform. He was secretly recalled and reinstated by president Buhari.* *He was even promoted to the position of director in charge of human resources in the ministry of interior. Maina was dismissed by president Jonathan in 2013 following* *recommendations by the Office of the Head of Service. He was said to have stolen about 100billion naira from the pension fund.*
*CP Zakari Biu:*
*CP Biu was dismissed following his complicity in the escape from police detention of notorious Boko Haram suspect, Kabiru Sokoto.* *He was reinstated and promoted to the rank of AIG by president Buhari before he was gloriously retired from active service.*
*NHIS Boss, Prof Usman Yusuf:*
*Prof Yusuf was said to have squandered over 997 million naira from the schemes intervention fund. Investigation was carried out and he was dully sacked by the minister of health.* *But because he is president Buhari's brother, he was recently reinstated.*
*Mallam Ahmed Saleh.*
*Saleh was the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court. He connived with two others (Mohammed Abdulrahaman Sharif and Rilwanu Lawal) and stole 2.2 billion naira belonging to the apex court. They were also said to have received gratifications totaling 74.4 million naira from private contractors who were providing services to the apex court.* *Mallam Saleh was sacked but president Buhari reinstated him and promoted him as the Secretary of Legal Council of Nigeria.*
*Don't ever tell me that president Buhari is fighting corruption. Facts on ground are showing otherwise. Some of us work with facts not emotions.*

Skyfornia:
That last one(Box Junction) is still not very clear...someone should please throw more light on it. Thanks..
It is used at signals (junctions) where traffic lights control the traffic. It means you shouldn't be in the box when the signal is red there by blocking other drivers that are coming from other direction that has green light. Another way to understand it is this, if your lane has green light but the road is blocked, do not enter the box if you are unsure that you will pass the box before the light turns red. So you have to remain in your spot until traffic along your direction is free. It attracts penalty in some countries.

Lots of us have over 10 years experience in driving yet we can't identify any of these. Nigeria sucks in every aspect. You can't have a license without passing a text on these road signs/marks, signals and police signals in other organized countries. These little things matters. We sing praises for these useless governors when they construct substandard roads with traffic signs. Driving at night with these signs is fun but here in Nigeria it is a suicide mission. A policy of going through driving school and passing road test will help educate road users, create employment and drive revenue for the government. A rigid policy on road construction should follow to ensure we get road designs before construction and traffic signs installed after construction. I am yet to see any digital governor in this country. The sad part is that most of them lived in abroad.

Nigeria belongs to Nigerians. Say no to tribalism. Say no to religious bigotry. Let's try competent hands. Dasuki stole money and he is in jail without trial, Babachair Lawal stole money and he is campaigning for Buhari. As bad as PDP was, Gov Alameisiagh and Bode George went to jail. Tafa the Ex IGP went to jail under PDP. Election under OBJ was a mess and Yaradua Jonathan reformed it. Buhari had 4 years to further improve on it yet he failed. Jonathan introduced TSA and BVN. We need strong institutions. Finally if we fail let's fail together and if we improve let's improve together not having a tribe benefitting more than 250 tribes.

Nigeria cannot give over 50 million people jobs for the next 50 years.
10k is less than 30 dollars. You don't know what chain economy does. Everyone can't be lifted or taken care of directly. This is poor approach to the problem. A good economic policy will lift a good number of people especially from the middle class and the down line of these people will impact on the people down the ladder. I understand that 10k is enough for some people but we have to be realistic with the current economic situation. In my honest opinion, this 10k will at best provide the next meal to 90% of the beneficiaries.
