Religion / Does Anyone Regard Your Sighing? by thecreativeguy(m): 9:16am On Sep 13, 2015
Does Anyone Regard Your Sighing?

Does anyone notice and regard your sighing? The Lord God does!

...For the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD...' Psalm 12:5.

A sigh is figuratively, a manifestation of grief; a lament. It is mostly an expression of exhaustion, sorrow, frustration, and the likes.

One common attribute of sighs is 'involuntary'. Many atimes, sigh are expressed involuntarily. Why? Because of the burden our situtations and conditions has heaped into our hearts, minds, thoughts, and conciousness.

Life is filled with problems- no doubt about that. So long we remain here on earth, we can't but be faced with situations that displeased our beings. So, truth is, everyone of us have issues and worries.

Since it's eminent that our world is a problem-filled one (the peace we desire will come only when our Lord Jesus come back again to reign) and everyone of us are faced with issues that bothers us and makes us sigh in worries, then it means we shouldn't put more of our attentions on something like 'how not to have issues and how not to sigh (because as long as we remain here on earth, we must have issues that will make us sigh- voluntary and involuntary) instead, let look at 'how to replace our sighs with hope and happiness and joy'

Naturally as human beings, when we share the burdens in our hearts with someone, it eased us of the burden. Then when the person we share our burden with happen to have the power to solve our problems and gives us hope, then our burden becomes happiness. That's a simple formular. But why aren't many still getting it right?

It is simply because, many of us are looking at the wrong places. We look unto humans for help- humans can't even help themselves! Only God can.

See what He said:

'...for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him (from any issues that makes us sigh in frustration)

Action Point: Make amendment with God today. Be right with Him. So your sins wouldn't stand as an hindrance to the Ever Ready Help He will offer you when faced with problems.

Isaiah 35:10: And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Sports / Honest Comparison Between Lionel Messi And Cristiano Ronaldo by thecreativeguy(m): 4:40pm On Sep 05, 2015
Indeed, we of this generation are so blessed to witness the reign of two superb football players in the world of football.

We all know Lionel Messi is a good player. And we all know Cristiano Ronaldo is a good player. Nevertheless, there is always a big continuous debate regarding who is more better between the duo.

Having searched the internet, let me give you this honest comparison between both.

Cristiano Ronaldo

- Ronaldo is no doubt a fast striker who scores with his head and both feet.

- He takes on any opponent defender with mesmerizing footwork, and he have an unbelievable power and control over the ball.

- If you don't love Ronaldo for anything, his free kicks is one of the main reason to love him. He has executed free kick perfectly so many times.

- Sometimes he does the tricks and dribble when easy simple pass would do.

- Ronaldo can score from very long ranges with rocket strikes.

- While Messi rely mainly on his left foot, Ronaldo can use both very well. Messi scored most of his goals with his left foot, Ronaldo scored with any.

- We all know that Messi rarely score goals with his head, but Ronaldo is a wonderful header. In fact, he's a big threat whenever he's inside the box.

- One known trait of Ronaldo is his not too cool temper, when things aren't going the way he loves. Also, he is often said to be a diver.

Lionel Messi

- If you watch Barcelona games, you notice Messi changes direction quickly and evades tackles.

- Sincerely speaking, Messi's finishing and passing are better than Ronaldo sometimes.

- Messi runs from midfield, his balance while running is pretty astonishing.

- He can't score from very long ranges, although, at times, he's lucky.

- We all know Messi doesn't have that much power as Ronaldo- but he scores goals and that's what
matters.

- Regarding dribbling, statistics shows that Messi is one of the most successful dribblers.

- If Messi's dribblings are successful they often create a useful new situation (goal, pass, free space). Ronaldo often starts a not too useful dribbling or misses the relevant moment and plays a cross pass.

- Whereas Ronaldo is known to be a player who focus more on himself, Messi belongs to the top-
ranked players with respect to assists. In addition he plays numerous key passes, which are often not exploited by his mates.

- Messi is known to be 'more cool' than Ronaldo.

What Ronaldo said on Messi:
'You cannot compare a Ferrari to Porsche because it's different engine. He does the best thing for Barcelona and I do for Madrid.

What Messi said on Ronaldo:
'I think he is a good person and player who brings a lot to
Madrid and can decide a game in any moment.

If you want to watch something about Messi on YouTube, you can do that here

Education / Various Ways Plurals Can Be Formed by thecreativeguy(m): 2:25pm On Aug 24, 2015
The purpose of this article is to educate those who doesn't know this before; and act as a reminder to those who used to know, but who had forgotten it.

First, in simple definitions, let's talk about singulars and plurals first.

Singular And Plural.

A noun that refers to one person, one animal, one place, or one thing, is Singular. E.g. Woman, goat, Church, table.

While a noun which refers to more than one person, animal, place, or thing, is Plural. E.g. Women, goats, Churches, tables.

Plurals can be formed in various ways, such as:

- Adding 's' to a word.
Examples

Singular: book
Plural: books

Singular: roof
Plural: roofs. Etc.

- Adding 'en'
Examples

Singular: child
Plural: children

Singular: ox
Plural: oxen.

- Adding 'es'
Examples

Singular: brush
Plural: brushes

Singular: box
Plural: boxes.

- Changing 'y' into 'i' before adding 'es'
Examples

Singular: lady
Plural: ladies

Singular: baby
Plural: babies.

- Changing 'f' into 'v' before adding 'es'
Examples

Singular: life
Plural: lives

Singular: calf
Plural: calves.

- Compound words.
Examples

Singular: brother-in-law
Plural: brothers-in-law.

Singular: step-child
Plural: step-children.

- Some Nouns Have Two Forms Of Plural.
Examples

Singular: penny
Plural: pennies, pence

Singular: brother
Plural: brothers, brethren.

- Changing One Or More Vowels.
Examples

- Some Words In English Language Doesn't Change.
Examples are

Etc

- Few Words Are In Plural Already- They Have No Singulars.

Though English Language isn't our 'mothers language', the fact remains that for many of us here, English Language is what's bringing money into our bank accounts.

Thanks for reading.

There are two dates in every year which i don't use to forget. The first is April 23 (my birthday); while the second is December 23 (Christmas day). But this year, another date has being joined with these two dates which I can't forget every year. The new date is June 10. It was the day i lost my mother. Though i don't like remembering what happened on that day, i will try telling you bits about it.

It was a wednesday. She woke up early before many others, like many other days, and after preparing herself, went to her shop for the day's business (her shop is beside our house). That morning, she talked to people, washed her clothes, and attending to customers. In fact, when she finished washing her clothes, she was happy because the sun shone that day (the previous days were rainy).

Well, I was just recovering from malaria. I was inside and she called me. I answered her by coming to the balcony, while she was downstairs. She ask me to come and help her call those that will supply water for her tank, and I told her am coming. Before going to meet her, I decided to relax a bit.

Few minutes later, when I went downstairs to her shop, I saw her siting on the chair in her shop, in a posture that made me feel instantly that something is wrong somewhere. I was relutant going in at first, because I was feeling 'What if it's what i'm thinking? But soon, a young girl want to buy something and i use that medium to go in to where she is, telling her 'Mummy, they want to buy something.' But she's gone (though not totally gone then). But when we get her to the hospital, she's gone.

It's a painful incident. But there are lessons we all can learn from her death.

1. The Distance Between Life And Death Is Just A Step Away: You wouldn't know the real meaning of this if you haven't experienced it. Someone you talked to just few minutes ago, and in the next minute, the person is gone.

2. People Will Talk About You When You're Gone: My mum's death was a big loss to not only we her immediate family, but everyone that knows her. Why? Because of her good deeds. She's known by some as 'Iya Alaanu' (a mother who pity and help). She's a good woman. There are many people she had helped and still planned to help. When she died, everyone (ibos, yorubas) keep lamenting how good a woman she was.

What would be said about you after you are no more is determined by how you live your life today. If you want people to talk good about you when you're gone (in a way that will make life easier for your children you're leaving behind), do good always.

3. When Making Plans, Think Death: My mum's old mother died this year (during the elections) and the final burial ceremony is being scheduled to hold in early Septemeber. She's already making preparations for it (buying shoes and other things). But lo, she didn't even live to withness the final burial ceremony of her mother!! What a world!

Thus, in every plan you make, always think about death. And if you make plans and you live to execute it, thank God for it please.

4. Don't Hide Things From Your Family, You Don't Know When You'll Die: My mother rarely hid things from we her children. Infact, few days before she died, she do tell us about the types of dreams she do have (i wished i've taken them much serious) When my mother died, before many consolers and outsiders came, myself and my sister had cleared her money with some important documents of she have from where she keeps them.

In anything you do, let your family know about it- you don't know when you will die.

5. You Will Die, But Your Legacy Lives On: My mother trained me and my siblings using what i will call a 'classic approach'. There are certain things i see others do to their parents, and i wonder if i can dare try that with my mum. My mum trained us in a 'no-nonsence' way, making me and my siblings to be outstanding (though not perfect).

Now that she's gone, her legacy lives on. You know, even now, when doing something, i do think about her opinion (like, 'Will she like this if she's around?)

Thus, everyone of us should strive to live lifestyles of good legacies so that when we are gone, our good legacies will live on. Parents should teach their children well; in a way that, when you are gone, your legacies will leave on.

6. Life Is Vanity: My mum is working on her own house project- she couldn't complete it. Many sees her as a 'big woman'; but she take none of her money with her. She had lots of clothes, shoes, bags (you trust women), but they were distributed. In fact, the one she put on the day she died was burnt with fire- she takes none along!

Life is vanity. There is nothing we bring to this world that we will take along while leaving. Don't make wealth and success a do-or-die affair. Don't look for money in wrong ways. Women, don't sell your body for money. Guys, don't do wrong fradulent things to get money. They are all vanities!!!!

Ha. Mummy, so you've left your boy alone. You really suffered for your children, but didn't wait to eat your labours. I want to make you proud. I have lots of plans for you. But if you are seeing me wherever you are now, by God's Help, i promise to make you proud. Ha. Life is not just fair. Ha. Good night ma.
