He changes monika like chameleon. The Monika he used then was WIRESTACK. he is always active in the job and vacancies section advertising writing jobs.

This is quite a long piece, but please read with open mind; I just need every help I can get. I have seen this same person making post of writing jobs on this same platform, and I feel I should share my story so that others, most especially unemployed individuals can learn and be careful.

Here it goes:

There was a pressing financial need that was mounting pressure on me; I just needed to take extra jobs so as to meet up.

Fortunately for me, on the 10th of April, a guy made an advert here in the job/vacancies section proposing to pay 50,000 naira for writing articles of 41,000 words, which will cover different topics ( a remote job that involves writing from any location). Even though it's not an easy task, i took it up because of the pressing needs at that time. he gave me some test to evaluate my competency and qualifications which I passed; and he acknowledged that.

Thereafter, I started writing for him. In the course of writing for him, several works were rejected - he said they did not meet the standard of the clients. Meanwhile, sometimes, by the time he would forward the corrected one he asked someone else to write, I would see some of my contents in them; yet I never complained nor questioned him for once, I would simply say " I will work on it sir" " I am sorry about that sir" and I will continue.

Like I said, I took it up for a reason; financial obligations. so, it got to a point, I asked to be paid for the work done so far, of which he promised to make the payment the following week from the day of request. That week eventually approached us, he asked me to calculate the total number of words I have written (there was a worklog), and I thought I was even gonna get my money that day, but unfortunately he asked for another week extension which I didn't question; I knew I was at his mercy and just needed to play along at least to be paid since he was not someone I met physically, it's an online client.

The second week came and I made request for my money again, but he got angry that I was disturbing him, he even used derogatory and unprintable words on me, reminding me that he had work to do, and since I don't have anything working for me, I should just wait. Thereafter he said he would be blocking me (on WhatsApp) till the 28th of may when I would be paid; and he blocked me right there and then! I was shocked!! I felt used and humiliated!!!

It would interest us to know that, in all of these, I never for once dialed his number to insult him, neither did I send a text message to defame his character; I simply waited till the 28th of may which was weeks ago. This time, I reached out to him using the email he had once used in sending some jobs to me. His response as expected was humiliating. I replied him, telling him how displeased I was, and how people like him have made the world an unsafe place to be as a result of trust issue. He kept insulting me, at that point I was forced to return the favor; Insulted him back.

Thereafter I reminded him to unblock me on WhatsApp, so as to pay my money, but he did not till date; hence the reason why I am here to to seek you people's help in recovering my money.

unfortunately, I could not even meet up with the pressing financial obligations that necessitated me taking up the job in the first place.

In all, after we calculated the job done, I wrote 15,500 words, although it was actually 16,500. so Nairalander, i feel since 41,000 words is 50k, 20,750 which is half would be 25k. However, since I wrote 15,500 I should be getting 20k or worse 15k. If I am wrong, I am open to our suggestions.

I have his phone number and evidence of our conversations. I will be more than willing to share it if need be, this is not a make-up story; it is my story and it is real. He is right here on Nairaland and may be moved to comment negatively. But I promise to use evidence to counter any negative comments that come from him or his foot soldiers.

I got a freelancing job (writing job), here on Nairaland. I used both days and night to execute the project, but when it was time for him to pay me, he blocked me on WhatsApp, that was May this year, till now he has not unblocked me neither has he paid me; meanwhile I took the job up because I was in a need.

it is interesting to know that I have never picked my phone for once to call or to insult him! yet, each time I reach out to him through the email he once used to send jobs to me, will insults me. Anyway, I hope nemesis catch up with him soon.

He is right here on nairaland and still uses his number.

So, yeah i got a job, but the experience was not a favorable one!

about the experience, i have been teaching since 2011. It was just last year that i resigned to take care of my ailing parents. I remember asking for help here but many people ridiculed me and called me a fake arse. Thank God both of them are hale and hearty now and they both blessed me 4 all my sacrifices towards them.
My advice, if u have the opportunity to offer help to someone on nairaland, pls do it. Not all pple here are faking it. I will do my own giveaway when i get my first full salary to the first 5 people that will quote this my comment. IT'S A PROMISE.
