I was already working before I went for service. I worked my service to a convenient PPA and made proper arrangements to ghost it and returned to my work. It wasn't that easy, but it worked quite alright.

I know it's been 8 years plus you made the comment, however, i find the comment very relevant and applicable to my current situation, hence i would like to engage you as to how to go about the same thing you did.

The results was actually approved two (2) months before I clocked 30 years. Do I still stand a chance to serve?

Does month count when calculating the 30 years? I graduated two months before clocking 30 years, would that matter when calculating it, or I would be exempted?

I really appreciate our comments, contributions and criticisms, now i know where I stand and the next line of action to take. I obviously don't have the strength to sue as advised by some concerned fellow up there . I've accepted my fate.

My major concern is that I'm not prepared for this, and we can agree with me that things like this can actually throw one off-balance, especially a man with responsibilities.

Also, applying for job at this time of the year, well i hope it works. I will give it a try though

Was there an employment letter or a contract of employment? If yes, what's the condition for contract termination? If no, it's unfortunate, there isn't much to be done, except the company chooses to compensate on compassionate grounds and that's at their discretion.

Yes, there was employment letter.

it is in the letter that he can terminate our appointment at will at anytime. However, there isn't prior notification which gives us an opportunity to prepare ahead.

I will be brief about this.

Earlier this week, we got the shock of our lives; we would be laid off at work by month end due to financial setbacks the company is going through.

Meanwhile, we figured it out ourselves after connecting some dots, thereafter we asked questions and our fear became a reality; we were never told prior to making our own findings.

We didn't prepare for all these, and majority have already set things in motion in their personal lives. It is indeed a shock!

Now the question is; is that the right approach when it comes to disengaging workers from service? Are we fairly treated?

Knowledge ( experience) is needed to make money or translate skill into money. Even an apprentice will pay to aquire skill that will make him competent to stand on his own and start making money in the future.

Therefore, it is not out of place to pay for knowledge (experience), in this case for 6 months, which will eventually make you competent to apply to organisations and start earning money which in the long run will be more than the amount paid to gather the experience.

It's actually cold out there and many useless fellow just like her boss may still want to take advantage.

What a world!! A world where people have lost the humanity in them!!!!

A good woman is not easy to come by these days; yet that doesn't mean we should ignore certain things that may pose threat to our union later.

However, i want you to know that, a woman cannot be perfect; likewise a man, we all have our lapses. But if the lapse she has is not something that can pose serious threat to your family life with her later in the future, i will advise you to take it easy with her.

Sit her down once in a while, mold her to be the kind of woman you want, teach her if possible; we are all work in progress.

A woman will appreciate you the more if you correct her with love to be the spec you want.

If a woman is teachable and humble enough to adjust and correct those things you don't like, go for her. The only problem in a relationship or marriage is when a woman tells you that " that's what I am, you have to accept me that way" i will say " run óò". But if a woman admit her mistakes and she is ready to correct her lapses, please go for her.

Your woman is a good one, just sit her down and talk about that attitude she displays that you don't like; with time she will be what you really want. Mind you we can't be perfect!!!
