Just yesterday night, i picked my phone to call someone, but it was not connecting due to poor network , so i decided to stroll down the street perhaps the network would be better. As I was going, i was trying the number. However, i noticed two figure standing beside the road, one appeared smaller than the other; it was around 9 pm. Well, since i had no issue with anyone, i kept on going while trying to connect with the person i had in mind. When i got to the spot where they were, the person called out to me; 'Brother'. At first i was startled, but i waited to hear her out; it was a young lady and a child, and if i guessed right, she should be around 22 or 23 years of age, while the young girl, whom i later got to know was her daughter would be around 3-4 years. In her words when i finally waited, " Brother, please help me with any amount, this girl is going to school tomorrow, i need money to prepare breakfast for her". I had just 500 Naira on me; as i planned to used 100 naira to get another network airtime due to bad network, while i keep the remaining 400 Naira for my transport to work the following day; it has been budgeted for . I told her what i had and she said she wouldn't mind, so gave it to her without thinking twice. She thanked me and i continue searching for network down the road; i left her there with her daughter. Meanwhile, while strolling back, just a minute or two minutes apart, she was still there. When she saw me, she thanked me once again, and her little daughter also joined her in repeating what her mum said. I deduced she is a single mother battling with the scorching economy condition. I looked back when i was close to my house as it's not too far from where she's standing and i saw a man standing where i was some minutes ago, and i was happy another person was willing to help her. However, he was giving her a phone, as i could see them, and all i could think of is how some might want to take advantage of her situation to sleep with her. But it's well, we all get rewarded for what we do. Let's do the Little we can for people around us,nothing is too small. Although I'm someone that gives when i have , but i was more motivated by the kind gesture of two nairalanders who gave out their resources a few days ago, to assist the vulnerables; they are good examples to imitate. |
guobe:Well received, thank you very much. I once again thank both you and the sponsor; this kind gesture really means a lot. Greater heights i wish you both. |
labake1:I'm interested, thanks. |
You are principled! Of course, married men should not apply!! ![]() |
advanceDNA:I agree with you. In this case, women are to complement what men bring to the table to make it complete. A man must provide for his family. |
[quote author=guobe post=128542123]All six people should send bank account details to enable me credit them.[/quo Thanks so much, i really appreciate you and the donor. This means a lot. God's blessings on your endeavours |

guobe:I'm interested sir, Please do a background check on me. It has always been from one hustle to the other here on Nairaland. Even though i was even cheated here by someone i worked for in the course of survival, i never used vulgar or insulting words on him; i embrace all. Thanks in advance. |
guobe:Thank you very much sir, she really appreciate you so much. And on her behalf, i appreciate you too. Greater height for you. She has received the money. Thanks once again. |
guobe:Sir, please have you received my mail? I've been with her for a while now, as I don't want her to miss out when i step out to attend to something else. I really wish i know when the call would come in. ![]() |
guobe:I don't know how to send mail that would reach you on time. Please here is my number I have also sent a mail sir |
guobe:Good morning sir, thank you for this empowerment initiative channel towards assisting the vulnerables in the society; it's a lot. Meanwhile, I do have a woman who is a widow in my area here. She engages in petty business, but one can tell that what she makes is not enough nor sustainable for the family; i sometimes give a helping hand to the kids. Assisting her with this will go a long way in her life. She doesn't have a WhatsApp enabled phone, but i can help her with mine. All i need do is to go to her place. Thank you. |
elega:Thanks so much for your comment and suggestions, i appreciate. |
Rhemaville:In fact, that's exactly what we were told at the maternity. Thank you, aprreciated. |
Good evening. Please, to experienced mummies, Is it normal to start bleeding again, perhaps after about 5 weeks after delivery/birth? Note that, after giving birth she used hot water to massage the stomach and sit on warm water so the bad blood could come out, and after carrying out that exercise for days the blood eventually stopped. Going to second week now, she started bleeding again and we thought it's menstruation at first. Please is there anyone Who has experienced same, whose insight can help us with a better understanding of the situation? Thank you. |

Morning everyone. As the topic suggest, I'm thinking of venturing into livestock farming; cow and goat to be precise. However, I've been scammed in the past through a friend who base in Niger state (we met in school and became friend thereafter), however he played me (money was sent to him to help purchase the liestock then, but he never delivered) and i ended up losing my money. We are still friend till now, but i just let go of the matter. Some years have passed after the encounter, and i want to give livestock farming a try again (i will start from little). However, this time i have already gotten someone who will help me with the purchase, but i need help from people who are into this type of farming to put me through and give me insight as to how to go about it in order to make it profitable. I welcome your suggestions and ideas, thank you all. Seun, mynd44 please help move to front page for a wider input and suggestions, thanks. |
Rubyjade:I'm also interested, thank you. |
I know of many people both married and single, who work on the island but stay in the mainland; all they do is to hang around, perhaps within the premises of the organisation for some days, thereby saving themselves the cost of transportation while they return home by Friday (you being single would even make that hassle free as there is no one to complain yet). Well, it's just a suggestion, if it's something you can cope with, then why not take up the job? Life is about making sacrifice in order to achieve our set goals and objectives! |
LadyG05:Thank you very much, we shall heed the suggestion. And yes, i checked, and there is a boil around the tear from where the pus is coming from. |
Good morning mummies. Please assist me with this concern! My wife had tear after given birth about three weeks now. Although she was given some drugs, which she finished taking i think within a week. The issue is that, a few days ago she noticed some discharge as though there was a pus. Meanwhile she uses hot water to clean her private everyday as suggested;she has never missed a day! Although she earlier confirmed that she felt she was healing as some of the stitches are falling and she could feel the wound are closing. But alas a kind of discharge like a pus! That leads to the question, please is thee a way to clean the wound and stiched area for it to heal faster and to prevent infection aside the normal hot water usage everyday? I would be counting on our suggestions and experience, thank you all. |
WolfOfWalstreet:I have a friend who works in the same company where i work at the moment. How did he come in? He was working as a security guard (supervisor) attached to my company, the difference between his salary and that of other security guys is just 5k if I'm not mistaking. While at the gate, he was very friendly and down to earth most especially with the big guys in the company. At a point, there was vacancy for a position in the company, and he got to know about it. Rather than applying online, he took his CV by hand to the receptionist (as someone who had built bridges), and begged her to help him submit it as soon as possible. He was among those chosen for that role. We now work together as colleagues. So, there is no harm in starting from somewhere in other to be in that place you desire. It's all about determination, perseverance and vision. But i will encourage you to be humble, it's VERY essential. |
Gratefulheart2:Thank you for the suggestion. We actually went to the hospital but we were told that's just a sign that the labour will soon start. We were asked to go home. |
Good morning my awesome people, please i your need insight and ideas. Please What happens next after mucus plug comes out? How long before the real labour start? My wife has been experiencing severe back pain for the past two days before this new development. I need your contributions as I'm a first timer. |
