After working for days, it was time to go home. Meanwhile, days before then while going to work, i noticed that my bank branch that's close to my work place was opened, unlike a week before and i was delighted about that; at least i will be able to withdraw some cash for transport while returning home ( that even prompted me to spend the cash on me).

On getting to the bank, the security man i met asked for my purpose of coming ( to my own bank ooo, when in the past, they were the one begging us to patronize them). i made it clear i was there to withdraw some cash; he gave the usual response, " we are not giving cash, there is no cash".

I was angry and confused at the same time. I had no penny in my pocket and POS was not anywhere around there; i haven't seen anyone and that bank was my only hope. So many thoughts flashed my mind; " will i trek from the island to the mainland"? " " Will I beg motorist " " will i go back to sleep at work"?

Immediately, i quickly restrategise by telling the security man i would like to apply for a new ATM card ( truthfully, that was in my plan as i have lost the one i was previously using).

After gaining access and filling the ATM card form, i was asked to wait, when it was my turn to be attended to, i was told the system is down. I was angry. Immediately i thought of using that opportunity to get some cash in whatever way it was gonna be done! After All, my going home that morning was dependent on me getting cash from the bank.

I quickly told the customer care officer that i would like to see the manager. She said the manager was in a meeting, thereby using that opportunity to ask for the purpose behind my request. I explicitly and sincerely told her my plight and its urgency. She came up with the usual " there is no cash, even me doesn't have cash". I asked her how she got to work and how she intend to go back home. After so many back and forth and how determined i was, they took me to one office and gave me 1500 Naira in 100 Naira denomination which was enough to take me home. I collected it and left.

Its Quite not easy going to work and coming back. But we are pushing.

I withdrew 10k this night from a shop in my street, unknown to me, they have started rejecting the money in my street.

Meanwhile, i noticed the POS guy collected 700 as charges instead of the usual 1k for 5k.

After withdrawal, i couldn't spend as they kept rejecting. Fortunately for me , there is a woman who is collecting without questions, i spent almost all the money there despite not really needing all i bought.

Personally, I'm into mini importation business. Meaning we import goods in small quantity depending on our capital from china and resell here in Nigeria.

With 5k with me right now, i will import memory card which is very light in weight and not too expensive from china and resell here in Nigeria, and make my profit.

Their prices over there are cheap and not heavy at all to ship, hence the relatively high return on investment.

The only way if can be easy is if you're posted to lagos, then fine you can change your Ppa within lagos to your desired company. But if you're posted outside lagos fr camping, you will have to apply for relocation in camp.. Camp relocation mostly works for people with disabilities and married women...
What you have to do as an individual who isn't in this category is to Find an nysc plug that can do relocation back to lagos for you, by that, it's all done and sorted

I really feel bad hearing what happened to your sister. It's quite a bad and pathetic experience under this harsh economic conditions, all in an attempt to better her life.

In my own case, i just need a remote or part-time job to augment my income, as one stream of income is not enough in this country, especially if you have responsibility towards yourself and family members.

I've worked and still work (depending on job availability) as a customer care representative, data entry personnel, online tutor, thesis writer among others; reason why i reached out to that fellow when he mentioned the job opening. Well, there are still good people regardless of our ugly experiences.

May God continue to help us. Once again, sorry about what happened to your sister, and thank you for the advice. I appreciate.

But Franky speaking, although cashing out may be part of the woman's intent, But it's also a possibility that, the moving away to maiduguri by the governor back then (according to the woman) might have contributed to how she has not been able to reach out to him until now.

Meanwhile, due to fame and popularity, at least since 2019 that the man became a governor, his name must have been ringing bell in one news or the other, hence why it's easy for her to identify him and raise the alarm.

I am a graduate and currently working as a real estate broker in Abuja.

Recently a friend of mine who happened to be my brother in-law told me of a job offer in portharcourt at a company( an international company persay) who were ready to pay him in dollars every week.

The problem was that he has to pay N650k for international working documents, dollar account and other stuffs to commence training.



I don't know what happened next, I later heard he's there already and he wants to create opportunity for me too.

So he requested for my details which I sent to him. Lately yesterday he called telling me I was confirmed for the job replacement and I also have to pay N650k to get the job.
