Your denial pained me. We are all fishing to see see why you were denied and pointing out things that might not be the reason. I personally do not see anything wrong your transcript because loads of people I know have changed travel plans and still get issued visas including this Friday. As for port of entry, CBP would have stopped you if it was an issue. Since you are obviously not desperate to travel, just stay away from there until when you really need to travel.
Not so much about the change inntravel plans. You see this ties thing weighs on some people more heavily than others. Its seems the CO has doubts he might not not return this time.He doesnt just see much tying him down to Nigeria at the moment. And thats the essence of the interview.

There may be issues. He might have a lot of explaining to do on what he was doing for five months, although they gave him six months. The question is how long did he say he was gonna stay on his ds 160?Credibility is of paramount importance in the US visa process and once lost,it can hardly be regained.

LilMissFavvy:
Have you ever been denied help, attention, etc, because of the way you look? As a guy, has someone ever denied you help or given you a nasty look because of your dressing, haircut, even though your appearance was decent? For the ladies, have you experienced something similar, because someone didn't like the fact that you wear makeup, jewelries, etc? It can be painful if the ''offender'' is a ''Christian''.

There is a serious segregation in the church, with differences in dressing, mode of worship, etc, and this has affected the way Christians relate with each other.

I write this because I can still recall a little experience I once had, sharing it may touch someone. In my final year, I had gone to the bank to pay some ''dues''. There were few customers, so I was just behind a woman. She was busy with lots of cash withdrawals, I filled my teller and waited. The woman was a ''no make-up, no jewelries, kind of person, some call it the ''born again look''. Then the banker called on me, ''you want to pay in?'' I said yes I want to pay for school dues. She collected my money, counted it, then showed me a particular 500 note, she complained that the money was torn at the edge, hence she can't accept it. I looked at the money, the tear was small. I told her pls, my house is far, I can't go back home to get money, then come back, I also did not bring my ATM card, the money left in my bag is for transportation.

She still refused to collect it, saying the bank had given them instruction not to collect bad notes, that they had been receiving a lot of torn cash, and were warned to stop it. At this point, the ''born again lady was listening to our argument, and also stuffing her bag with bundles of cash. She then assessed my appearance, (I do use jewelries), she brought out some notes from a bundle of cash, and gave it to the banker, and said ''for your lunch''' cheesy. She left......ooops! It was just a note I needed, but she ignored a student, and helped a banker cheesy. Yes, I saw that she wasn't okay with the fact that I wore jewelries or trousers cheesy. I simply left as well to get money at home, but something within me asked..... ''as Christians which we claim to be, where is the love?''. If as a Christian, you are bias in helping or showing love to other Christians or people because they don't have the physical appearance that pleases you, then I think we have lost it. Jesus during His wonderful works did not show any prejudice towards people. We can become better Christians, it begins with you and I, may God help us. Peace!

If you have had similar experiences, pls share it.
Actually one of the foundations of Christianity is charity.Giving! In truth you didnt have to have asked her before she could help you.A true beleiver should help someone in need if he/ she can.So speaking from a spiritual perspective, she should have bailed you out.You are right.

I follow her on Quora and I believe she is legit and has a wealth of knowledge about our systems. She’d worked in several African countries including Nigeria and Kenya. She also trained a lot of our consular officers. That info about where she had worked even came up under another question not visa related.

Visa is slavery. Traveling is for fun not going to work like a dog. Americans are renouncing their citizenship in alarming rate in that hellhole you worship. A common trader in balogun market will buy you and your entire family and give your state mayor the change to feed his dog. Giving birth to your children abroad does not secure their future. There has never been a successful Nigerian born in the US. They grow up to continue the endless circle of depression and debt that is the false American dream. Someone born in Oshodi has a higher chance of making it in life than a Nigerian born in America. All successful Nigerians were born and live in Nigeria.
Why are people wasting their time on this guy.He is well known here on Nairaland saying Nigeria is the best place to be while castigating western Europe and America.Go and check his previous posts.I can bet dude has never left Nigeria before.Nobody should waste their precious time on him because he can argue till forever.Who says Nigeria is best to be in 2019?

Please i have a question,
A friend is married to a US citizen. Her husband filed for her to come over. Due to marriage she will be a citizen. The plan is to file for her parents to join her. After which she or her parents will file for her siblings to come to the US. Some of which are married and well into their 30s.
Question is: how can her parents get citizenship by virtue of thier daughter being one? Is it even possible?
Also can she or her parents file for the rest of the siblings?
Yes,for a US citizen, parents ,spouses, and children under 21 are considered immediate relatives and they are eligible for an immigrant visa as soon as the application is approved. This takes a few months.Conversely, siblings fall under the family preference category and it could take 10 years or more before they can get an imimmigrant visa depending on their country of origin.

So I touched down on Washington Dulles International Airport yesterday (July 21, 2018).

Background:
This is my first trip to the United States. I was a little bit worried before leaving Lagos on Friday because I got my visa last November and was meant to travel last December for a training at a university in DC.

I could not make that trip in December so I decided to come for the next run this July. My firm was to sponsor the trip in December. However, I resigned from the job in April to start out on my own.

So, I was a bit worried that my job situation had changed and I would be sponsoring myself on the trip as against my former company which was stated at the visa interview. Also, I had mentioned at the interview that I would be staying for 8 days but now I planned to stay for 3 weeks.

Trip:
I flew with Qatar and arrived Washington Dulles at about 3.45pm local time after flying for 13hrs from Doha. The queue at the immigration was so long. I estimated almost 1000 people on the line. I was on the queue for about 2hrs.

The interview:
Interview lasted barely 2 minutes.
CBP officer: What are you here for? Business or pleasure?
Me: Business
CBP officer: What business?
Me: I am here for a training at xxxxx school of business.
CBP officer: How long are you staying?
Me: Three weeks
CBP officer: Hope you are not planning to go to cross the border to Canada?
Me: I busted into laughter
CBP officer: You are laughing.... A lot of people are doing that.
Me: Yes, I have heard a lot about that.
CPD officer: Don't do it they will send you back. Enjoy your stay. Stamps me in for 1YEAR till June 2019. I had always assumed maximum was for 6 months.
Me: Thank you.

My training is for 1 week, I will stay additional 2 weeks exploring the US. I plan to visit DC, Maryland, New York, Houston, Milwaukee and Chicago.

I will be back in Lagos by God's grace on August 12, 2018.
Stamped you in for one year?

10 - John Mike Obi

11 - Victor Moses

The two lads above don't fit into that squad. Perhaps Moses might fit in if he changes position - let say attacking midfield.

He has not shown enough creative power in that position both in Chelsea and Super Eagles team in the season. He was the major weak link among chelsea forwards.

Mikel is lost already. He was not even fit to be called in. A new blood would have fared better. No sentiment.
I don't know why coaches keep managing him to the detriment of the squad. If you doubt me check his individual achievements and compared to contemporaries he started with
Absolutely ,I wonder what he's doing there.Must we force him to play no 10?Don't we have genuine and natural no 10s?Is he the only one?

The Canadian border isn't porous. The problem is that Nigerians are trooping to the border and seeking asylum
.Some say they are being persecuted because they are gay, some claim female circumcision and all sort of stories. And of course they are so many,so that got the Canadian government concerned that something isn't right

This is why I always prefer to get answers from people who have first hand experience in the system they speak about. You won't hear me talking so much about Canada, Australia or Europe because I don't live there or know a lot about them. My statement still stands.

Depending on someone's life situation, you can retire anytime. The 60-something age of retirement is only about benefits. Not everyone cares about that. 70+ year olds work in pizza delivery and the likes, there are old senators like John McCain, who's working even at 80 years old.

Regarding parenting and religion, we have differing opinions and since it's a sensitive topic, I'll let you go with what works for you. Americans practice religion with freedom and wisdom. It's an entirely different society to Nigeria, religion-wise. The retribution to the nation theory doesn't fly in this country. You can hardly scare anyone here with sins and hell fire or punishment for tithes and the likes. They fear punishment from the authorities/government over the one from any god.

On loans and mortgages, I insist, they are optional. People talk like loans, taxes, debts and mortgages are the end of a person's life. They're not. Pay your debt and live your life. There are a million and one reasons for choosing not to be a homeowner like cost of Insurance, maintenance, commitment, etc. It's not always about mortgage. You can still buy a house with bad credit. Being a landlord in this country doesn't make you a demigod like in Nigeria. It's a matter of preference, really. A renter has the full rights to a home during the period of the lease and can even punish a landlord for defaulting. Personally, I'm not into buying a home for now to live in, buying a home for me now would be for business. Maybe later, that'd change.

The U.S. is a country of opportunities. Your life path depends most times on the decisions you make. If you live within your means and don't bother yourself with things outside your league, you'll be happy.

for that very minority who "seem" to be doing well, it may not be a very good choice to start over, especially if you are middle aged

But hey, if you are a young person in your 20s you better leave before something such as marriage id kids tie you to this jungle.
