Dear Nigerian Youths, as you listen to the aspirants of the ruling party jostle for their party's ticket, think and ask if they can offer tomorrow what they could not provide in 7 years; and if you are doing better than you were seven years ago. -PO
That will show you that him living PDP is a mutual agreement between him and Atiku, trust any politician at your own peril. Why must he abuse pdp? Is that why he is contesting for presidency? |

I dont believe the voting strength is the problem but the kind of politics they play. 2015 was APC's first year incharge. You can't really expect Igbos to be that visible by then. Even this 2023, It is definitely impossible for Igbo to get APC ticket, would you also say it is due to their politics? |

Wasky101: How many big wig se politicians are in Apc. I had this discussion with a couple of people yst, who is a founding and strong politician in apc , absolutely non, what u have are the ones that cross carpeted. SE systematically through politics of hate rigged themselves out of 2023 presidential election. If SE had produced a ranking senator on the platform of Apc in 2015 he would have become Senate president and remained Senate president till now. But y'all didn't vote for ngige. All the Saraki episode wld have never happened. And guess who would have been the front runner now Yes, i agree with you that they are not founding members. But, Your argument that SE held strongly on pdp is faulty becuse there are SE politicians in APC, whether big wig or not. Is rochas and OUK not eligible to be made senate president? Why didn't APC choose from them? SE has not gotten it right, probably because of their population and voting strength and not these your reasons of bad politicking. |

The pdp through its northern cronies where able to hold on to power (directly or indirectly) through proxy relationships with SE ,SS & SW. SW was the first to open eye and dump their sorry ass followed by SS but SE hold strong. Now them eye don dey open. Nothing to show for 23yrs of loyalty. Even when SE got Senate president PDP(not obsanjo) kept changing them like a babies diaper. Are SE politicians not in APC ? How have they benefited? |

erwinschro: You are talking about a man who was governor of Anambra for 8 years under APGA when it was a PDP parliament. He did it successfully the. And he will do it now.
We do not need lofty 30 year plans. Our situation is dire. We spend almost 100% of revenues servicing debts and interest rates are rising globally. We need fiscal responsibility and we need to tighten our belts. Nigerians will have to suffer to fix this issue. Nigerians will not accept that suffering from criminals who are so obviously sharing the milk and honey of Nigeria in front of our eyes. I believe he is someone that can sell that message, he can create the political will to challenge and actually take down some of the vested interests in the country. Or we can take a chance with 76 year old Atiku or Buhari’s handpicked successor. Your vote, your choice Bro, you just started a blind argument. I stopped responding to him. Can't you see that his mind is already closed and made up? He said he has no candidate. For him, it is either a perfect person comes on board or no election. Politics › Re: Peter Obi Joins Labour Party, To Contest For President by TheExclusive: 7:43pm On May 27, 2022 |
lightnlife: Peter Obi's move to the LP will be a litmus test for Nigerians.
HOW?
First, it will revive the question of whether Nigerians vote for individuals or parties.
Secondly, it will test the altruism of Nigerians' clamour for alternative parties/candidates aside the PDP and APC.
I believe many Nigerians are apologetic to their oppressors: PDP and APC. They (citizens) have a subtle and unconscious preference for them. The two parties have done good psychological programming on most Nigerians.
HOW?
If you read the news of Obi's decamping to LP and brazenly concluded that he should forget his aspiration to become the president despite knowing he's competent, at least, amongst the other contestants, then, you're an apologetic of the APC and PDP.
Nigeria ain't going anywhere with the current socio-political and economic structure.
Tap me if you have a civil discourse on this. Well said my brother |

PLEASE MAKE A FOOL OF ME AND LIST THEM!!!! If I have to articulate those brilliant ideas, I have to do it Side by side that of your PERFECT Candidate. Unfortunately, since you don't even have a candidate, this has turned into a blind argument and I can make bold to say that You have not made any point on this discourse. |

Please state these brilliant ideas or else i and everyone readint this will know that you are supporting a candidate and you have no confidence in his ideas because if you did you will be proud to articulaye tham,
PS: I am not a young man, I have less years of suffering left in Nigeria and you youths are just beginning your suffering. our GDP groth rate is below our population groth rate sustainability so more poverty is ahead, you are the ones that will pay the price for wrong choices, at least people like me enjoyed Nigeria when it was good. i can tell you for a fact that no one under 40 knows what a good Nigeria even smells like, you were all brought up in mediocrity and an era of falling standards in all aspects of life. We were brought up in excellence, so we know what good leadership is, we also know what doesnt work.
I will give you 2 good examples, we have been hearing we will fix electricity, we we promote agric since the 1970s. Obasanjo in 1975 had Operation feed the nation, Shagari had green revolution, Jonathan and Buhari came with Agric nonsense, they all failed!! people like me know why they failed nefore so we dont buy into their BS. As an example I knew Buhari would fail in Agriculture because you can close the border all you want but how does a farmer plany when he is not safe on his farm. Secondly if you have to close borders to revive agriculture it is a sign your agric products are not competitive, third;y, true modern efficient agriculture does not employ a lot of people, because planting and harvesting are done by machines so Nigerian agricultural products can NEVER be competitive on the international markets using manual labour. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you or does not understand economics. With either experience or intelect, there are some things you dont have to wait to fail to know they will fail. That is why when someone promises or comes us with Economic BS, you have to ask him how, what are the targets and how will you fund it?
If you want ab ibo president dont be afraid to say so but dont kid yourself he is the messiah or has any brilliant ideas! Its all the noise of a salesman! clealry a brilliant salesman considering his personal business and followership.
Anyway i am waiting for your brilliant "Peter obi" ideas. Imagine! You have no candidate, yet you are quick to tear down someone that has brought fresh perspectives on rebuilding Nigeria! The best of them all, keeping his campaign all about the resolving the issues while others are busy bribing delegates!! I thought you had a better candidate so that you will convince me to join you. I am done here sir !!! |

casualobserver: Like I said you people have been dumbed down and sorry to say not very bright. What exactly are the brilliant ideas, please tell me! You have been so dumbed down you dont know when someone is bullshitting you. Has he given you an annual gdp growth rate target? has he told you where he intends the GDP to be by end of his 1st term? Has he told you which sectors will drive that GDP growth? has he told you how many jobs he intends to create in which sectors, Has he told you HOW he is going to create those jobs? has he told you how he is going to stabilise the Naira, has he told you how he intends to fight security, has he told you HOW he intends to provide electricity? Has he told you HOW he is going to get the financing to build roads?, Has he told you HOW MANY kilometres of roads he intends to construct by end of his 1st term? has he told you how many Km of rail he intends to construct in his 1st term? Has he given you any targets for his promises? if you examine all his rhetoric all peter Obi does is rehash Business school BS that he has no track record of implementing in his private or public life. When he was in Anambra what we can even say look this is what he did? You saved money so that Obioano could steal, is that something to be proud of, would he not have been better to spend the money he saved and even borrow more to build roads and infrastructure so that whoever is coming after him will have to raise IGR if he wants to steal because debt payments for existing infrastructure that people are enjoying means there is no money to steal unless you raise IGR?. All he says is "production" "production" but even inhis private life he is not a producer of anything, he is a trader!!!!! buying and selling!!! has he told you what his plans are to get all the much touted mineral resources of Nigeria out of the ground? has he told you how many thousand hectares of agricultural land he intends to bring on board during his administration and which will be the priority crops, has he told you which products he has identified that Nigeria can export ot get additional forex? I bet you the answers to all of these are a resounding NO!!
You people never learm people with vision and real ideas give definite targets and tell you how they intend to go about it, if they fail to reach their target, at least they will get somewhere because they have a target they can be benchmarked against. mediocrity just says i will do i will do, no targets, no details how they intend to do...this is why we have a leadership like Buhari.
The reason why we get mediocre leaders is also down to the electorate, they dont ask the right questions, we are not very bright. next time a man says I will do, ask him how, when, with which money...then you will see who is truly a messiah or a fraud!!!! It is very obvious that you have not been following him and the interviews that he has granted. Please make out time and go through them on YouTube and educate yourself. I have no time to teach you that. Keeping that aside, let me ask you another pertinent question. Going by your line of argument, which other presidential candidate has gone as far as he has gone in maintaining an issue based campaign on how to tackle the challenges in the country and granted interviews to enlighten Nigerians? Is that not what aspirants are supposed to be doing? |

On a honest note, I'm still looking for one person to articulately tell me why and why Obi is most qualified besides that facts that he's Igbo and younger than most of the other candidates.

Man City scored after KDB was substituted. Mahrez was substituted for Fernandinho at the 85th minute ( As expected) If Pep didn't introduce a defensive midfielder to seal the victory, you people would have blamed him for not doing so. He made the right subs, what happened was just destined to happen I totally agree with you. People saying wrong substitution do not know what they are talking about. How can they call bringing in gundogan, fernandinho, grealish, sterling at 85th minute with 2 goals lead as wrong sub? They players simply relaxed and were caught off guard. And people should also stop quoting unresearched statistical figures. The culture entails you preinform your immediate family (even before marrying the first wife) about it and not surprising them with a one year old child and a new woman. This is simply womanizing gone wrong. Let everyone know abinitio that you believe in polygamy. I'm sure that the first wife will not have married him if he ever raised the topic before their marriage. |
