Business / Re: Dangote Refinery: Bailing Out The Unbailable - Investment Or Bailout? by TheExclusive: 10:51pm On Jul 18, 2021
deenee:

All that you have said is correct but you are still mixing apples snd oranges and acceptance of an EV revolution has nothing to do with the tribe of the person in power in Nigeria.

For EVM to make sense, there has to be infrastructure to support it in Nigeria and Africa. Unfortunately, the infrastructure deficit won't allow this. Unless, as I mentioned earlier- back to back consistent investment in the infrastructure outlay which will take at least a decade to bring to fruition.

Secondly, what is the purchasing power of the average Nigerian/African? Less that 2% of the entire population will be able to buy a EMV ( new or tokunboh at an price range of USD40k-USD120k!)

We always make this mistake of drawing quick straight line comparisons between Africa and the "developed nations"

You haven't talked about charging ports, electricity, security, good roads, etc and you think it's Electric Motor Vehicle that the government (incumbent or incoming, irrespective of tribe) will face?-think again

As per Dangote, his target market is Africa same as he has focused his other companies in line with his Africa focused business operations model.

The refinery is currently valued at USD50billion if we prorate using the 20% minority equity investment from NNPC. That's already USD10billion into Dangote's pocket already. He plans to float shares on the NSE (about 15% and sell about10% to other strategic investors. With these deals alone, he would have made his money back even before the refinery starts work and still be a majority shareholder with 55% ownership!

God bless Dangote
God bless Nigeria

Well said. Also, there are other products from refining crude oil that serve the petrochemical, plastic and aviation industry. These will also serve to generate more revenue for the refinery.

This is the reason why any team shouldn't be written off! Tuchel wrote Leceister FC off and he suffered greatly for that. How could you bench one of the best keeper in the world! He ought to have made early substitution during the second half. Alonso, ziyech, and Werner were not in the game.

Exactly. He didn't field his best players.

victor4u:
ACCA is more better in respect of the recognition and worldwide acceptance and also below are also the benefit of ACCA compared to ICAN

As an ACCA student, you can:
1. Have a Bsc in Applied Accounting from oxford Brookes University after you complete the Skills level i.e part 2 of the professional stage, all you will be required is to write a project and your class of degree will be based on your performance at the ACCA exams so far and of course the project.

2. You also have the opportunity of having your masters if you so desire after completion of the whole stages of the ACCA,all u will be required to to write a project for the award of Masters.

3. As an ACCA qualified, you can automatically be an ACA holder i.e ICAN if you so desire without having to write any of the exams of ICAN

4. You have the opportunity to graduate in the U.K or your certificate sent to you via mail ( Bsc & Masters)

5. An ACA holder (ICAN) will have to write 3 - 5 courses before becoming an ACCA quailified depending on the level of exemption given.

6. ICAN is more difficult as per exams where you have to write 4 papers but ACCA is more flexible as per you can write a minimum of 1 paper and a maximum of 4 depending on your capability as per finance and study.

I am an AAT holder and presently a student of the ACCA; I also help current students and prospective student pay their fees or register on line via credit card.

Do you know that the deadline to register as a student of the ACCA is next month - August 15 and if above 21 yrs, u can register as a Matured entry student and start from the professional straight. or have an certificate in Accounting then you might be exempted feom certain papers.

Need more info or more clarification or want to register or pay your fees or get approved ACCA reading materials?

Then contact me - Victor on 08054523301, or to my office at 12, Samuel manuwa str by 1004 2nd gate, Victoria Island Lagos. or wanna chat? den i.m me @ eva_victor2005 at yahoo messenger or eva_victor2005@yahoo.com.

Will be very more than willing to assit you. Thanks to Nairaland. am always on line.

Please in your point number 2, the masters will be in field specifically?

Sharpbend:
Guys please I need answers

I love this particular beautiful girl in my school. I'm in 300 level and she's in 500 level. She seem to be the standard I look for in a girl. We met up and she was all nice and really friendly. I made her laugh all through the time we spent talking that day.

Now the problem is that while she tried to make an explanation while we were talking, she mentioned that she's in a relationship. She talked about what the guy does for a living. I played deaf to that though and didn't reference to it again.

I feel she doesn't love the guy or something. Because all through the time we chatted prior to our meetup, she never mentioned anything about her being in a relationship.

Also, she agreed to meet up with me, she even told me that we should meet up more often.

Now I don't know if I should still press on and snatch her from the said relationship or I should just forget about it.

Would it be right to confess my feelings for her even though I know she's in a relationship?

PS: I have never being in a relationship before not because I didn't have numerous girls throw themselves at me but I'm really high standard and I all of them didn't resonate my interest but this particular girl has been on mind for over 2 years and I have tried getting her out. It has been simply impossible.

She does not want to put all her eggs in one basket. I also do not think it's a good sign for you.

[sub][/sub]Why not get the job first before negotiating. Negotiating salary will drop a lot of applicant on this particular job. This is not SPDC. This is SNBO. If you like go and mention 1M naira per month, you just lost your job.

Negotiating salary is part of getting the job. The two go together. I am even talking about job position not salary.

Let me drop my little info.

SNBO's salary structure is quite different from the other companies. It is something that would have been emphasized to you at the initial phone calls.

SNBO has three job group levels. If you check the 2018 adverts, the are Analyst, Senior Analyst and Specialist. What you are given depends on your experience and the function you applied for.

What else o...

The interview is around 4 stages.

1. 10mins phone call( not everyone will get and you may still progress to stage 2)

2. 1hour phone call (can you really prepare for this? It basically assess what your experience and professional fit. What are your skills and clear examples of how you have used those skills in the past. What you can do is less important. What you have done wins here.

3. Final interview.........

4. Offer
Thanks for the info. Did they advertise senior analyst and specialist positions this time? I don't think so.
Can one negotiate for a senior analyst or specislist when the job position is analyst no matter the experience?
