Jesu! I seriously don't want to call you an olodo it's like comparing a carpenter to an architect. An Engineer has at least a 4 yr degree in some engineering discipline. Lot's of math is involved. Everyone that is involved in creating cars is an Engineer, even the designers. Engineers work hand in hand with machinist, the people who actually build the cars in regards to what can and cannot be physically built and what works best. Mechanics are on the opposite end of the spectrum. They work on the finished product when it breaks down.
Engineers also do construction, maintenance programs, electrical design, city planning and many other disciplines.
