vislabraye: . You said former captain !!! This present coach knows better about this German team.
What does Joachim Loew have to do with Matthaus Point? Did Joachim Loew say Matthaus was wrong?

Joachim Loew and Matthaus are good friends. So do not think Matthaus is speaking against Loew.

vislabraye: . Bayern were almost serial losers until their fortune changed Are you for real? You call a team that won the CL before Pep took over serial losers ? A team that has reached the finals on 3 different occasions are serial losers ? For your info, Bayern won a treble before Pep came in. Pep is a good coach but let's admit it, he inherited an established team. He didn't change the fortune of Bayern let alone the German national team.
You did not understand his point. The Champions league win by Hynckes is the changed fortune.

Schweinsteiger's statement before the German thrashing of Brazil says it all.

Brazil used to be a team made up of numerous magicians.

Brazil abandoned their game and they have to go back and scout their best talents on the ball. Get a coach like Leonardo who was a magician to bring them together. That will propel Brazil back to its place in football.

See this training exercise devised by Guardiola. These guys practice things like this till they master them. With Joachim Loew playing the tiki Taka system, he has players who are already groomed to be pragmatic, confident and play the system with ease.

Loew did not have enough time to groom the team to play the system. With Guardiola training the Germans in the system, it makes the job easier for the National team coach.

Tiki Taka exercise devised by Guardiola.

No one is arguing Tiki Taka did not lose games, what Oliseh is saying that Tiki Taka has recorded more success than any other system in recent years.

Guardiola lost games, when he was coach of Barca. If teams are getting used to the system, how come Guardiola was able to set records in Germany. Tito achieved a hundred points. What Oliseh is saying is that the system is still yielding results. Bayern Munich management did not get Guardiola to win games alpine. They brought him to import his philosophy.

Guardiola even organises seminars for German Coaches. So it is not a fluke he had a hand in their success. Luther Mathaus knows more about The Germans than you.

Matthaus: Guardiola has influenced Germany

The World Cup winner thinks the Bayern Munich coach has passed on his philosophy to the international side, and admits the squuad are playing more pragmatically now

vislabraye: . Does Real Madrid play the tiki taka football? Does Athletico Madrid play tiki taka football ? The German team is this successful because they are young and have played for4 years together. The fuNny thing is that a lot of good teams have develop a sort of anti dote to this tiki taka system. Although the German plays the ball on the ground most times, they are also very good in aerial balls which Barca and Spain lacks. They can take outside shots and throw long passes. The German plays similar football to the Dutch.
Are you saying you know Bayern Munich or Germany more then Lothar Matthaeus?

He is the former captain of both the German and Bayern Munich team. You can argue with Luthar Matthaeus about aerial balls or shots from range.

By the way, Fabre gas shoots from far. So does Xavi and Iniesta. Carzola can shoot from far. Jordi Alba and Azpilicueta are good with crosses. Diego Costa is good with aerial balls. David Silva shoots from far. So I do not get your logic.

Done Deal: FC Porto sell Eliaquim Mangala to Manchester City for €40m

Having already signed Fernando a couple of weeks back, Manchester City have gone fishing at Porto once again it seems, though they’ve spent a lot more than the €15m they splashed on the aforementioned Brazilian midfielder.
O Jogo’s front page today confirms it: Manchester City have signed Porto’s Eliaquim  Mangala for a whopping…€40m!
The French centre-half made 51 appearances for Porto in his 3 seasons at the Portuguese club, and is a defender noted for his strength and ball-playing abilities.

vislabraye: . Exactly !! And Bayern under Pep lost 4 0 to Real Madrid under Pep Guardiola.
It is not about a performance in one or two games. It is about the performance in a long run. Bayern Munich began the season, pursuing 5 trophies. They won 4 of the trophies and lost one. That is a fantastic result for a system.

vislabraye: Source : http://mobi.supersport.com/football/blogs/sunday-oliseh/Why_Tiki_Taka_still_rules_the_world. I don't quite agree with him. The success of German in this WC has nothing to do with Pep's input in Bayern. This German team has skillful players as well as players good with aerial balls.
Luther Matthaeus, former Captain of Germany and Bayern Munich credits Guardiola for having a hand Jun the success of the Germans.

He knows a lot about Bayern. Sometimes, we do not argue and learn. That is how we gain understanding.

Also remember when the Germans played The Spaniards at the 2010 World Cup, they defended.

After Guardiola massacred Bayern at Allianz arena, Van Gaal was brought in and the Tiki Taka transition started.

football will stop being 90 minutes and become an endless avenue for stoppages.
every call will be contested and that reduces the intrigue in the game
Football is a game of endless stoppages. Do you know how many times the referee stops the game.

As I said again, it is a technology. It can be used to stop contentious decisions.

You do not say something will not work till is tried. It is just like FIFA arguing goal line technology. Now it is working, no one is arguing against it.

Tiki Taka Rules The World By Sunday Oliseh

As the Chileans drove the final nail in the coffin for Spain in Brazil, most thought that was the end of "Tiki Taka" football as we know it, at least at this World Cup.

Germany has quickly debunked that false notion by playing in Tiki Taka mode, thanks to its Bayern Munich influence under Pep Guardiola, and adding a German touch to it. It has positive aggression. Some term it "Tiki Taka a l'allemand"(french)

hence no to video replays
It is not true.

There has to be a compromise. For instance, use video replay only when goals are scored and red card decisions.

That is why it is called a technology. The technology is already there. FIFA should test it in one of the Junior tournaments. Then move to the Major football games.

Two clear penalties denied. A simple replay would have solved this. Anyone still opposing video replay technology?

If i pull you down you will fall where i pulled you. Robben fell inside the box, thiago should have allowed him to go.

The cross was a beauty to behold, if linesman did not say his offside then ref is ok
What do you mean? If someone is kicked outside the box and he runs two meters and falls inside the box, should it be a penalty? A foul is given at the point of contact, not point of fall.

On the 2nd goal, the Dutch player was just 2cm offside. Even if they use video replay, the Ref will be hesitant to rule the play offside.
After the goal was scored, there was a celebration. At that time, the fifth official in the Camera room would have watched the replay. As they are celebrating the goal, the referee would rule no goal offside. Even if it was one millimeter, he was offside.

I hope video replay technology comes in.

and d ref gave a penalty instead of a red card.......so thats a mistake too
It was a wrong call. The contact was outside the box. If the referee wants to send him off, that would not be a wrong call. He should make the right call. Like it or not the red card would have been better for Brazil than a penalty.

Watch the analysis. Robben was outside the box when Thiago Silva pulled him. The second goal, the person who pulled the cross in was offside when the pass was sent.

I will always stand for replay technology to be brought into football. Two wrong calls from the referee has caused Brazil to be down by two goals.

One was not a penalty and the second one was supposed to be blown offside.

I feel sad for Brazil.

shegsky: The number 10 Jersey was giving to him after he cheated during the age grade U20 world cup, because many thought he will live up to expectation. He is an old man with a baby face hence he cannot run or even make any single tackle. To be honest with you all, among all the mid fielder that came to the world cup and among all the players that wore the no 10 jersey in the various country, mikel is arguably the worse player in that world cup.Look at even Iran, despite they are puppet in that group, their no 10 man was 100% better than mikel. He does not deserve the no 10 jersey. If you pick any home base player that is playing for any of the local club that is truly a mid fielder and plays the role of number 10, believe he will be arguably be better than Mikel, even if he cannot distribute the ball, he will be determine to mark them and be aggressive than old man mikel with a baby face. My 2cent
[size=13pt]Nduka Ndubuisi, the Plateau United coach at the time explains:

"It's hard to explain his talent at such a tender age, but when we got him, we realised we had found the best young talent in the whole of Nigeria. The fans were critical of our decision to play a school boy, but he was outstanding in the few games he played at home."
******

John Mikel Obi came to the attention of Kashimawo Laloko through the Pepsi academy at the age of 12. James Ayeni, a coach at the academy recalls:

"He was one of my best players at that time. He was so thin yet so brave, and he also had a very good first touch."
