so after he fought hard with his blood and sweat to make sure Nigeria gainher independence and Ironsi abandoning him in the prison for no reason, you expect him to join forces with Ojukwu to split the country he sweat blood to help gain independence? And to support a certain tribe that abandoned him in prison against the one that set him free? You sure knows nothing. Why didn't Nnamdi Azikwe and Alvan Ikoku also do everything to support their kinsmen in their fight that year? The fact that most yorubas want oduduwa republic today, justifies that he took a wrong decision by not declaring oduduwa republic, when he had the opportunity. If awo had declared oduduwa republic, gowon and the north would have been demoralised to pursue that war. Everyone would have been free by now. |

Ovamboland: This man was far ahead of his time and till now Nigeria is still too generally backward to understand or deserve him. In a different country he would have ended as a respected world leader If he was really far ahead of time, he wouldn't have missed an opportunity to set his people free |
Politics › Re: Awolowo's Letter From Prison To Aguiyi Ironsi Pressing For His Release by TheGreatOne90: 2:51pm On Oct 17, 2021 |
EazyMoh: Chai e pain am o! But the letter sounded like Awo was actually glad Tafawa Balewa and co were murdered he didn't make any attempt to condemn it no toppling of our young democracy. Or does it mean the first coup plotters and Ironsi were in cohorts? Anyway I'd like to know why despite this romantic letter Ironsi never released him, till Gowon did. It was ojukwu that released him. Before his release, he promised to declare oduduwa republic after his release. A promise he failed to keep. A promise he must be regretting in his grave, he couldn't keep. |

nairaman66: AbokiFX was just a simple solution to a simple but rather complex problems of the Naira against the dollars.
If I were the CBN, I would liaise with AbokiFX to peg the rates at a fixed point with the current present bank rates. This would have taken care of the SPECULATED part of our dwindling Naira!! Shutting down the site is totally inhuman, ill timed, myopic and irresponsible from the CBN governor!
Our problems in Nigeria is usually simple- We act most of all the time, other than just simple reasoning! Thats a smart idea. It could have helped the crashing naira, if abokifx rate was actually the problem |

nedekid: Meanwhile oil has hit $80 and rising, lng ie gas prices has shot over the roof. You will expect our dollar inflow to increase and the attendant effect on the naira. I thought they said crude oil prices crashed due to corona etc hence no money, OK, crude oil has hit the roof, so where is the benefit? I put it to you, give these recessionists $500 /barrel oil price and naira will still fall and they will blame "middlemen", "past administration" etc. Some will still give the lame excuse that we produce nothing. Lies, we produce lng, crude etc. Do you know how many containers of logs leave the country daily? As I wrote earlier, visit any justrite store, 80% of the products there are made in Nigeria, from soap, ketchup, BBQ source, ice cream, confectionerys, plastics, furniture etc. And all these products are exported all over Africa and abroad! Do you know our Stout, trophy, gulder are all exported to as far as Russia? We were not exporting but $ was 140. We were not exporting but pounds was 250 for over 10 years? Why then is our own different? Other economies are improving ours lie lie. As I have always said, give this regime the economy of Qatar, Germany, Japan, USA and in 2 years they will crash it. They will blame the middleman, blame the country for producing and exporting too much, blame the country for being too rich and had to become poor! Hence they are called the RECESSIONISTS! Apt and well said. A recessionist can only offer recession |

pacino26: First the ban on AbokiFx was ill conceived just like many policies of the current administration. AbokiFx or not simple knowledge in Economics shows we are having a deficit Balance of Trade.
A topic about how illegal extortion at the airports prevents Agro expo graced the front page of NL weeks ago. The VP has called out the artificial official exchange rate of the naira.
The only way the government has successfully made FX is through borrowing. I think that is our dollar earner for now.
Let's blame Live Score because Nigeria didn't win the last World Cup. Funny but true |

My own is instead of Nnandi Kanu instigating South East youth they should form a political party and win all the Eastern State and have more political voice.
My own is instead of the south south to be crying over resources control they should pool up fund and build state of the art Refinery that will compete with Dangote refinery in the south south.
My is the north states governors should ban all lslamic school and replace with normal western education to liberate their people.

Like I said, it mustn't be cow. And if it must be cow, it mustn't be Efi-Igbo. There are better cost effective breeds out there. The aim is to provide animal protein, not senseless pride of raising Efi-Igbo. There are better breeds that can be imported and it will perform very well. People needs to go into the business |

murphyibiam15: Even south east will also suffer from the above link, I thought you're bringing something that will exempt south east. Stop making igbo look unintelligent Absolutely, everyone will bear the brunt of it, except the political class like buhari and Co. Surprisingly, in the midst of all this hardship, hateful beings like you, are more concerned about South east. Are you aware that $1 is 570 ? What are you doing about it ? Why are you not on the street demanding for buhari resignation ? Are you aware of the number of people been killed daily in zamfara state alone ? But as patriotic as you think you are, is not worthy of discussion. For your information, the number of people killed in zamfara state alone this year, is more than the number that has died in South east all together. Set your priorities right and don't let hate cloud your sense of judgement. If federal government under the evil fulani caliphate, succeds in killing all igbos today, as you wish. They will turn to you and your people. |

Angelfrost: Ipob has started what they can't finish tbh... Every Monday, fear reigns all over Igbo land, people hide in their houses... Those who go out do so walking on egg shells.
The problem and truth about terrorism is that it is always started on a "good note", as a great motive like Freedom fighting... However, it always gets out of control when anarchists and criminal elements capitalize on it and make it their personal business!
Ipob has brought in the highly insect infested firewood into Igboland, now every Lizard is out in full force to feast!
It may already be too late for you people!!! When you become an accomplice to any evil been targeted to others, by not speaking up, it will still come to your turn. Arewa and oduduwa exist today, because the grassroot people believe they are not nigerians. They believe they are arewa and oduduwa respectively. They believe they deserve a nation of there own, and not to be forced into sharing the same country, with people they are different from. Now what is wrong with igbos having the same ideology? What is wrong with igbos demanding for referendum ? |
