The HBO original series House of the Dragon is officially in production and will premiere in 2022.

As we all know, GOT is getting a prequel titled House of the dragons. This is a story of the Targaryen civil war that took place about 300 years before events portrayed in Game of Thrones.

This thread is created so that we can discuss production updates, casting and plots as the long await series will premiere next year.

Toby Emmerich is leaving WB very soon.

This is a huge win and a positive light that the restore the snyderverse might still happen.

JJ Abrams will be a bad choice especially as Star wars fans are still licking their wounds from the Trilogy.

I don't think JJ Abrams can survive a double combo of Snyder fans and Phathom menace fans (SW fans) unless you wan send am to im early grave

Zack is still the best choice imo

I am sure Netflix or Amazon will engage Zack Snyder very soon. They might create a whole new superhero genre from the scratch.

The problem is that Netflix is not fast enough to get a comic book franchise that Zack can work on.

Take Amazon for example, they have The boys and Invincible which now have a huge fanbase.

Netflix should be looking for a comic book franchise like dark horse, icon etc. If they do so and give Zack the Feigie role to build the universe, mehn it will be too awesome.

But, right now they want Zack to build a zombie universe which I love, but not what is needed in the streaming wars.

I'm only mirroring Snyder fans thoughts.

I thought Sarnoff said Jim Lee would be the Feige of DC. And is chief coordinator connecting all the movies down to new series going forward. All DC projects she said, is passing through him.

Jim Lee doesn't have that fan base reach as Snyder does, especially on SM. Zack would have been the best choice for this position, but it is obvious they want to get rid of anything snyder

Very slim hope for Henry Cavill as Superman

Chai... I really love Cavill but if WB ain't ready to use him, Marvel can take him as Wolverine or Hyperion

The nevers is a fantastic series, was shocked it was directed my Joss, but I careless am an advocate for good movies regardless of who made it. U guys shud see it.

Lol, I guess we are the only optimistic DC fans in Naija.

One thing I don't really like about the Disney announcement is that they are amassing a high number of big stars, even former DC actors. That phase 4 ehn, the names wey i dey see dey make me shiver.
In contrast to DC, we are using fresh actors for majority of our new movies. I no dey get much confidence with that strategy.

Me, I don remove my mind for any studio after I found out last year how greedy they all are. Anything they want to do, let them do.

It's like saying you want to go and support APC or PDP when we all know how useless and greedy they are.

Although, it shouldn't stop us from saying the obvious truth.

They literally announced that they will be releasing 4 movies per year, TSS and The batman are ready while the rest are in production. The announced Guy as GL last week and also announce DC fandome 2.0....An event that the MCU doesn't have for it's fans o.

The only issue is that they don't have a feigie type of person that makes these announcement. This is one of the reasons why Zack is needed.

Meanwhile at DC Warner Brothers released a 4k trailer of 2017 Justice league with the sole purpose of spiting Snyder Cut fans.

WB doesnt like some Snyder fans especially after some have recently threatened Hamada's family.

It is really pitiful as I really want Zack to head the DCEU, but with the look of things, he might not.
