What are you talking about? Who is the commander in chief? Do the governors control any security apparatus? The governors are sitting ducks when it comes to terrorists. These guys are beyond what ordinary vigilantes can confront. Heck they are even ambushing and killing officers.
PoliticsRe: Bandits Attack Giwa LGA, Kaduna State (Video) by themanderon: 3:31pm On Nov 19, 2025
Nigeria don finally jagajaga. Where is the DSS when you need them? The government cannot tell us they don't know who or where these people are coming from and getting their weapons from. I smell a huge conspiracy somewhere.
Nigeria is burning but our unfortunate politicians are busy scheming for 2027. It ok.

Tinubu will not be the only one to enjoy dictatorship. The Akpabio-led Senate is beginning to feel it should also enjoy such "benefit" since it rubberstamps everything Tinubu does. APC is on the path to implosion. The signs are clear.
It will surely implode like the pdp. It is certain that at a point it will not be able to carry it's own weight.

No doubt... children need to be reprimanded but where do we draw the line between acceptable and unacceptable disciplinary actions? I guess this has to be cultural ... what's accepted in one region may be unacceptable in another.

She can easily track and recover the phone. We just did it for a phone that got missing and it was recovered after some weeks. It's unprofitable to steal phones now. I am even afraid of buying a used phone cos it might have been stolen and you will bear the consequences if the phone is tracked.
PoliticsRe: Catholic Priest Says Viral VDM–Mr Jollof Airplane Fight Is A Distraction by themanderon: 8:41am On Nov 18, 2025
That's the tactics of a failing government. They seek any means necessary to divert the attention of the citizens from their failures. This government that runs on propaganda does it. Even in South Africa, where the ANC is failing, they shift the blame and make their illiterate population believe it's the foreigners who are the source of the problems.

RomanceRe: Man Storms Ex-Girlfriend’s House With Friends To Reclaim Every Item He Bought by themanderon: 8:10am On Nov 18, 2025
Kobojunkie:
For you, those relationships may be just that, but for women many of whom end up investing time, emotional, mental, and physical energy in addition to bearing much of the mental load that is the relationship, it is more than that and as such there is need for them to ensure they at least benefit something from the exchange. undecided

Again, I suggest that for those of you who think a wife alone should get gifts from you, please stick to patronizing pr0stitutes since you also seem to be amenable to their demands for strict payment for their time and physical energy. undecided
Your comments are indicative of a pained, bitter person. You must have gone through a lot to turn out this way. Sorry dear.

If you don't want him or her anymore, isn't it natural for you to return their stuff? You dont like a plate, but you like the food served on the plate. It doesn't work that way. If I were in her shoes, I would personally have returned the things he bought for her to avoid any embarrassment or stories that touch. Was it during or after the relationship that she found out he is a yahoo boy? grin

Isn't it time the legal profession did away with this rubbish wig of a thing? It is a symbol of colonialism that we have carried on with for more than 60 years after colonialism. We must change the garment to reflect our African ways.

Ok ... I guess this teacher also thought it is OK.
Children need to be reprimanded whenever they do wrong. You save the future/soul of that child if you do so. The moral decadence we are experiencing today is caused by the fact that we copied the ways of the Western world, whose society has totally collapsed morally. We are already experiencing it with the ungodly, morally bankrupt youths we have amongst us today. No respect for elders/authority, No compass of what is right or wrong, selfish and self-centered, etc. It's just as the Bible said in 2 Timothy 3. If you care, read it up and compare with what is happening today.

EDGEof2MORO:
See eh, if you ever find yourself teaching any of my children in your so-called school of thought, NEVER IN YOUR LIFE MAKE THE MISTAKE OF PUTTING YOUR FINGERS ON THEM. That will be the day you will see me personally and I will make sure you can not forget me. If you can not train a child without resorting to physical violence, why are you even a teacher? You are better off working as a boxing instructor then I know beating is allowed somehow.

Maybe you are the millionaire you are today because of all the beatings and torture you received as a child. Hmmm, no do mistake touch any of my pikin.
Keep your child at home and homeschool him if you so choose. Molly your child, whenever he does wrong. You will cry tears of blood when the time comes. I know a ton of people who did this and today they are crying. I was even with one yesterday. Have a nice day.

The end of that devil of a man would be worse than Humpty Dumpty's. The kind of mockery he would receive would be out of this world. I can't wait for that day.

Spanking ... not slapping a child is a form of disciplinary action. Maybe if he spanked the boy ... this wouldn't be news. The fear in the he days of old was not of the the teacher ... but if the parents. As in this case .... in the old days from he boy would've very well been itching to return the slap or push the teacher ...no fear .... the fear would be if his parents found out about it what will happen to him.
if the parents want to raise a rubbish child, they should keep the child at home period. You send your kids to school so they can learn and be disciplined so you can have a well behaved and morally upright child. If you don't want it so then keep your rotten tomatoes at home. You alone would bear the stench when poo hits the fan and it surely always does.

Lt Yerima's presence at the scene while serving a retired naval chief was legitimate and within military regulations.
That's in an abnormal setting like Nigeria. Do you want to tell me that in America you will see American soldiers guarding an empty piece of land that is the private property of a serving general more so a retired one?

If the parents trained the child well then the child will almost always be well behaved at school. If you support a teacher slapping your child in the name of discipline ... that's on you. And we wonder why some parents allow their children to be brutalized by teachers ... at times leading to death.
I am not in support of injury to any child. The importance of displine especially in schools cannot be overemphasized. There should be moderation in all things. Students must have some fear factor for authority especially for teachers.
We dared not challenge any teacher during our time. Imagine a student pushing a teacher for trying to exert authority and you people are hear supporting that deviant. Mark my words those foolish morally bankrupt parents that did this will later cry blood and blame the devil like many today are doing forgetting their foolish actions damaged the child.
Spare the rod and spoil the child. This time tested proverb cannot be a lie despite the fact that this woke godless generation is trying to make it so.
