Gawd I can't uunderstand how people reason in Nigeria today. What exactly do we want for Nigeria? Must everyone be in APC and support Buhari? The Igbo have made a choice to stay and remain with PDP and should be left alone. The north especially the NW has been consistent in their rejection of PDP and Jonathan and nobody has ever reprimanded and upbraided them but instead have been called brave. In the US certain states are known as pro democratic and republican. Texas for one has alawys been republican and nobody has insulted them for not joining Obama's democratic party. Why is it only in Nigeria that people are reprimanded for voting and staying with a party of choice? |
NgeneUkwenu:Who lost election in 1967 when Biafra was first declared? When Uwauruike started his MASSOB some years back can you remind me who it was that lost election? The more you guys link the call for Biafra to PDP and GEJ the more the people seem justify in what they are doing. The whole North West Nigeria have been consistent in voting for Buhari irrespective of who he contests against and have always been praised for their bravery but the Igbo/SE is reprimanded and insulted for choosing to go with Jonathan which BTW is their right. Your ill educated president have been going round making careless and unguarded statements against the Igbo whose only sin is choosing to exercise their right you don't find any wrong with that. FYI there are many Buhari supporters who support the Biafra movement, my younger brother being one of them. Biafra goes beyond Jonathan and Buhari. Biafra is a people's quest to take their fate into their own hands. It's about survival of a people. Biafra may not come today, it may not even not come at all but at least the people have spoken, they have made known their stand and the world now knows. How your dull president handles it will determine what happens but as it appears he's clueless as always to know what to do. |
OrlandoOwoh:You don't expect Buhari to do such dirty works himself. He has lackeys and foot soldiers who are very willing to do his bidding. If the bill comes as an executive bill of course every one will know so he has to hide under on I'll dressed In Na-Allah. Don't be deceived, we know the old soldier. |
When he said he will cut press freedom if it offends the govt, many especially his supporters tried to defend him and yet others said he can't do it. Now through his lackey Ibn Name Allah he wants to use the Senate to achieve that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zC6dnW42pQ0&app=desktop# |
Abagworo:Isn't it interesting that you are the only one who sees this prosperity in Okorocha's Imo State? What prosperity exist with people who haven't been paid their salaries in months? What prosperity exist in a state where the governor has placed a ban on not just employment but promotion of workers? When you visited Owerri did you also take time to see Douglas Road and what Rochas has turned it to? Did you see Okigwe road and other major roads in our once beautiful Imo state? While you are pretending even the APC members who voted for him are dying of hunger. |
The dullard deserves whatever name he's called. Only an irresponsible president will chose to attend some useless meetings in Malta when his subjects are dying in the filling stations. This guy is the most insensitive bumkum to ever occupy Aso Rock. |
Banter1:Yeaa fuel is available and sells for #40 a litre in your own side of Nigeria. Congrats. |
Did his boy in Kogi return the #11 billion he stole before he left for the other side? Has he even returned the #2.8 billion he stole in 1978 before accusing others? Seriously this Buhari guy needs to shut up and leave us face the fuel crisis he has caused. |
I was born in Obigbo (Green Park Lane off Afam Rd) in the 70s and attended Town School Obigbo. I know much about the town and its Igbo identity. |
umares:Igbo have ruled Nigeria only once and that's just for 6 months and yet top in almost all indices of human development. The north has ruled for more than half of Nigeria's independence but the region has the highest number of poor and malnourished children. The region has more on of school kids and adults. Even the South West that has ruled for 11 yes still trail the Igbo, you should be ashamed for yourself. |
Jenkizo:Was it PDP that motivated Biafra in 1967? Was it PDP that motivated Uwazuruike's MASSOB? Biafra precates PDP and will surely outlive it. Biafra is a people's quest for liberation from perceived marginalization in a larger Nigeria and it will be stupid to link it to any party. Many of those your APC/Buhari's supporters from the SE will not come out openly in support of Biafra because that will mean they are betraying their principal but deep in their hearts they want an independent Biafra. My younger brother and many others I know have such attitude. I love Nigeria because it's my country presently but still feel people should be given the chance to decide whether to remain or not. You don't force a people into an alliance or association they are not inclined to. Nigeria from the much we know was a creation of the British without any input, without the consent of the various independent 'nations' that were lumped together. They were never asked if they wanted to live as one, were not asked what name they wanted to be called. It may seem only PDP supporters support Biafra but it's still appropriate to give even the APC supporters the opportunity to say they don't want or support Biafra. Call a referendum and let the people decide. While I may or may not vote for a one united Nigeria, yet everyone must make his choice. |
He will go to East Fife to see Lady Macbeth. |
krattoss:Small boy dey dia dey yarn patra when the old man dey make his millions. |
Is that what you returned to nairaland to do? Why must I love Buhari? Is it written anywhere that Igbo must love Buhari? |
Alphaoscar:Hypocrite. But the blame for the $9.4 billion incured previously was heaped on the shoulders of Jonathan even when you know states have a share in that debts and blame. When NOI tried to clarify matters, when she tried to justify the debts you called her names and said it doesn't matter her explanation. You said all that matters is Nigerian has been plunged into debts by Jonathan. Now the table has turned, you don't want Buhari to be blamed. SMH for you. Come to think of it can you justify why the quantum of debts has increased by more than $2 billion in just four months of Buhari's administration? Which project has he embarked on? Oh let me guess, he has been around the world including West Germany. |
Laitesmart:This is stupid, way too stupid and you must be ashamed for yourself. He doesn't have to be a minister tone relevant. There are many out there more useful to the society than those ministerial nominees. I would take a Kperogi anyday anytime to those blood sucking demons called no ministers, senators, governors and president. |
The same would have been happening in Imo State had the fat devil in Douglas House not sold his soul to the devil. Imagine what it would have been like with Anambra and Imo doing so well in academics and the n Enugu, Abia and Ebonyi not too far behind. It pains to remember that Imo used to be numerous uno, oh Imo what a lost glory. Such things are possible when you have a governor who doesn't play politics with his people's education, a governor who does more than he talks. A governor who understand true governance, a governor who knows that good governance doesn't consist in noise making, empty and vain promises and pronouncements but in actually using scarce state resources judiciously. Willy Obiano and Peter Obi epitomize that. It's a shame Imo finds itself saddled with a crook and 419ner. |
Yes while structured attacks have reduced, unstructured attacks still go on unreported, so what has changed? |
franchizy:Igbo must be very powerful and strong to get the north to destroy itself. Igbo una too much, pls when you are done with the north move to the west perhaps then idioots like franizy will get some sense. |
Who the hell is Chidi Odinkalu? Always sounding politically correct when Fulani are killing and murdering innocent villagers in their thousands. Odinkalu forgot that the Fulani right to move about stops where the right to live of others start. These human rights agencies and activists can be stupid and paranoid at times. |
Intrepid01:You seem to be so sure of what you are saying but permit me to ask just few questions. 1. Was Palestine always a sovereign nation? 2. If it's a sovereign nation as you claim, how did it manage to be? 3. If we believe that the universe has a beginning in time, what nation has always existed as sovereign? 4. Have the people who call themselves Biafrans the right to determine whether to continue to be part of Nigeria or not? We seem to forget that Nigeria isn't a product of mutual consent and agreement. The different people who make up Nigeria today were just yoked together by a man who knows nothing about the peculiarities, differences and culture of each people. Never were the people asked if they wanted to live as one, never were they asked what name they wanted for themselves, thus if as it is the people weren't part of the plan of amalgamation ab initio, they have the right to decide not to belong any longer. I support your view however, that a national conference needs to be convened to sort out these issues but what happens when the authorities aren't willing? This issue isn't just about Biafra, it's about Nigeria, it's about her people, the Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani, Igala, Efik etc. The different nations should be given the opportunity just like the Scots last year to make a choice. |
mohince:For someone trying hard to correct the Pope I'm ashamed this is all you have to say. Go to bed son so you could wake up early and fresh and have mummy prepare you for school. |
Wow! You are staying awake just to write this rubbish, I can't believe it. I don't know what issues you have with the Pope, I don't care whether he's Antichrist as you say but I want to tell you not to engage in issues you nothing of. To start with, the Pope isn't wrong to call Muslims his brothers and sisters for that's what they are to him, to you and to me. The same God that created you and me non Muslims created them too. Thus, if we are rated by the same God then we are one insofar as we share one creator. That your brother or sister doesn't share the same faith with you doesn't make him/her any less your brother or sister, the Pope realizes than more than you do. I will rather you go to bed and cool off, your head is hot. |
Eziachi:Neither Buhari who you defend everyday nor Saraki knows you Eziachi exists. I doubt if even the governor of the state you hail from or even the councilor representing your ward in the LG knows you exist. Saraki who you are hating is a made man and nothing you say or do on nairaland can change that fact. |
vicadex07:You don't need any phone number from me, they are everywhere you look in the SW even behind your mother's kitchen. |
Isn't it foolishness that instead of attacking the herdsmen who took an important elder as Baba Falae, you come online to spit fire on the Igbo? Does what you have written change the fact that Baba was kidnapped while you could do nothing about it? Does it change the fact even if they kidnap Prof Osinbade there's nothing you can do? Please face the herdsmen and leave the Igbo alone. |
When is the right time to assess him? When the economy of Nigeria crumples due to his incompetence? The CBN warned the other day the economy was heading to recession if nothing urgent is done, who do you think he was talking to? |
Thank you Cockroaches for scamming Imo state students with your fake free education. A free education program where the supposed beneficiaries were made to pay #20,000 access fee into a govt account after which more than 80% got nothing out of it. Thank you Okoroawusa for causing me pain and loss of money in May 2012 when my car got stuck in one of the mess your dubious road construction caused. Thank you for pushing me and other road users into the bush on Dec 26th 2012 at Azaraegbelu. |
He said the projects were abandoned due to shortfall in revenue but the question is with what where the projects completed when the revenue hasn't improved? |
nickxtra:And who conducted the sham called primaries? |
