Swapping a Hybrid battery is an easy job..I have made plans to buy a hybrid unit from a salvaged yard abroad. Unit and shipping is about $1700. I have also watched several videos online about this and can comfortably do it with little assistance. My only fear is what will happen after the swap. Will it be cost effective to swap the battery or convert the car to gasoline?

Please, which option did you later take. Swap or replace the battery? Also what are your thoughts on using a hybrid vehicle in Nigeria?

I'm currently doing 27k weekly with all my Corolla, and none of my drivers default, once church open, i will drive my personal car with uber, to see if the rent will be increase or not.

Go to uber fleet match, post ur car, you will receive more than 10 calls a day, then keep inviting all of them over, from there u can select.

20k weekly will be horrible experience 4 u, is better u keep that car than take 20k weekly.

Bro thanks for this, I’ve been thinking of doing this Taxify/Uber stuff, I can get two Tokunbo corrolla’s and register but I’m worried about how to monitor the drivers and other security measures I should take.

The only experience I’ve had in transport is with those small white buses, I had two of them about 3 years ago but then sold it off because I couldn’t monitor the drivers and they were giving me plenty excuses.

I want to know:
1) Do your drivers use only Uber or both Uber and taxify and how do you monitor them
2) How do you secure your corrolla(do you install a tracking device?) because I’ve heard about corrolla being very easy to steal. Do the drivers pack it at your place
3) Any other information you think will be helpful please

Yes there is a penalty if the driver cancels the trip. The driver will most likely be suspended or blocked. As for you the rider, you have absolutely nothing to lose so far the driver is not at your location. This has always been a problem riders are too ignorant.

Imagine you as a driver you get a request of 5km 20mins to pick up a rider, and you called rider and the person says I'm going to the next street or to the mall down the road. The driver has no choice but to ask you to cancel cos it's totally not worth it.

Help spread the word to other riders, they cancel as many times they wish so far as the driver hasn't reached their pick up

Well now I know, but no single driver has ever explained this to me like this. I am sure if you calm down and explain it to riders most of them would cancel.

Uber has adjusted the trip already to 0:0 naira just now but I won't respond yet till after 48hrs b4 I'll respond.

Why do Uber drivers refuse to cancel the trip, Does it affect you rating or something? I’m asking because I’ve had a similar issue with someone else, he said he doesn’t want to go I said okay cancel and I left my phone and went out by the time I came back I noticed he started the trip and I was furious so I had to report him.

Why can’t you just cancel the trip bro is their any penalty and why can’t you gently explain to the rider how that penalty affects you.
