Its amazing how we Africans fans can easily turn from being very patriotic to being pathetic fans when it suits us. I am not trying to be a racist but if you compare our fans with the western world we are completely different. Those fellows support their team through and through and know that their team wont be winning everyday.

I am a South African, but have to say i am proud of being an African because of what the eaglets achieved. they went there and gave their hearts out and it will take a retarded person not see that. Instead of bringing these boys down lets encourage them and show them we believe in them. they are the best in Africa and every African ought to be proud of them.

that's the problem with our African parents they always want to have a say in what we do, thats why most folks end up marrying spouses approved by families rather than who they really love. its a sad sad story. i suggest you sit down with your mother and understand her reasons. if she is being unreasonable(e.g she doesnt want you to marry her b'cause of different languages, culture e.t.c and nothing to do with her values) tell her in a respectable way that you love this woman and want to marry her and that she ought to give her the chance.

make her understand how unhappy it will make you to know that she doesn't approve of the one you love as your mother.

The fact that she is even thinking "what should i do?" is scary, she shouldn't be even thinking of it or the possibility of it, when are women going to learn to be firm with their answers and intentions.
