No one is trying to be cute anywhere. For the fact that they check your international passport and see that you have a visiting visa and still give you the I. D when you apply means that there's nothing illegal as you are trying to insinuate.

I researched and read the conditions thoroughly before applying and was granted same day.
If there was anything shady about it, I wouldn't come to a public forum to disclose how to obtain the ID.

I was advised on this thread to first go on a vacation since that was the primary purpose of the visa in the first place. And for me to go back in June when I was close to my delivery.

It is obvious you are a very judgemental person who thinks everybody goes around giving the country a bad name.

I only updated because, the officer never even noticed my pregnancy despite my fears that I may be "grilled".

I would also like to say that my journey to the USA was a breeze. I arrived Apr 1 and despite my obvious belly I was only asked 2 questions

Officer at POE :Why are you visiting the US.

Me: For my vacation

Officer at POE: What do you do?

Me: HR manager at bla bla ......

Officer at POE: ok welcome .Stamps me in for 6months and wishes me good luck.
They didn't check my bag or anything..

I must commend everyone who take time out of their daily schedules to help others. Thank you all, the information you have shared is invaluable.
I have been following this thread for a long time. Way before I got pregnant.

Here is my issue, I applied for a tourist Visa last year(July) and was given, the purpose was for me to go on vacation. However due to health reasons I was unable to travel, I am pregnant now.and really want to have my baby in the USA. Baby is due by July. Should I go ahead to write a change of intent to the embassy seeing that I haven't used the Visa for it's original purpose?

That so called breathing apparatus is a nebuliser used when people have difficulties with breathing such as asthma attacks and any difficulty related to breathing including common cold.... That nebuliser proves nothing, doesn't prove her lungs are damaged.....

Read as many books as possible, the idea is not to remain as naive as we have been taught to live, but choose for yourself what to believe,not because our parents told us so but because we have been convinced of a particular truth.

Brother good morning, you are really wearing god eyes glass that always prevented you from investigating issues critically than cooking up excuses as if you're the one that wrote the bible and are 100% sure of its contents.

As far as we can tell, this is 20th cum 21st century and not two thousand or three thousand years ago. The farther an event get behind time, the harder it is to investigate the factuality of what really took place. It will always be an exuberant position to doubt events that happened thousands of years, i mean thousands of years considering that the people who propagated or partook in such events are pretty naive to some extent compared to you today. The essence of such doubts is to be in the safe side by making sure we are not under delusion.

This is the reason why scientific investigations and facts of past events and phenomena (like evolution, bigbang etc) are not hold as dogma. we are human with limited knowledge to accurately know absolutely what happened in the past. We can be wrong anytime and somewhere. Despite oceans of evidence supporting any scientific and historical facts, we can't still say for absolute (100%) certainty that it really happened that way.

@Poster I think you achieved what you set out to achieve originally. For some funny reasons I think that your choice of the word "POSSESSION" was VERY! VERY!! deliberate. You wanted to start a small "war" and you did.
However, it surprises me that a lot of men and women will let something as trivial as a Name affect their relationship and marriage. Everybody should strive to achieve or attain a state of happiness in their marriage. Issues such as a compound name or non compound name should be discussed between both parties before any talk of marriage arises; just like other issues concerning the number of Kids, who handles what chores e.t.c. If both parties agree on what they want; Good and if not don't bother tying the knot......

Tomorrow now, some Nigerians may insult me in their minds when I keep saying that as long as I live, none of my female children will be allowed to marry a Nigerian bred male. It is due to this very sickening type of mentality that many of you still have even in 2012. There are so many Nigerian women living outside of Nigeria who have alot of offer Nigeria such as their expertise in their chosen fields and what have you. However, this hateful, chuvinist mindset many Nigerian bred males possess is why many of these women refuse to come back home and contribute to their quota to making Nigeria a potentially great nation. These women will rather contribute to their host countries instead.

The sexism, misogyny and chuvinism in Nigeria can drive those of us with an active conscience through the roof. I think you are a very unhappy person Charles and I feel for the unfortunate lady that will agree to be your wife someday.
