Christianity Etc › Re: The Wonderful Truth Of The Trinity by TheOP1(m): 10:44pm On Sep 04, 2012
I think am beginning to like Frosbel!!!

You see this issue of trinity is what is scaring most non-christians away( esp. Muslims tired of their religion) as they dont see christianity as an option , coming from a background of strict monotheism.

At the end we should be very carefull what we ascribe to God as he is a very jealous being and can forgive any sin except ascribing partners with.

I did like to ask , were the jews expecting God himself or a Prophet.
Something of such importance as God the creator of all that exists coming to die on earth for the sins of his own creation by the hand of his own creations should have been emphasised and clearly understood and seriously anticipated by the custodians of the old testament (jews), but we all know they werent expecting the Almighty they were expecting a Prophet like unto Moses.

Infact, God, I didn't ask u to create me, we had no agreement b4 I was created. Did I wrong u in another world. All I know is that I jst saw mysel here in this very harsh world, now I am told that I must live a particularly way if not I will b thrown into burning hell, it makes no sense. Pls take me whereever I was in peace b4 I was created, u can have ur heaven, bt pls don't send me to hell. Abegooo, make una c meoooo, I didn't ask to b createdoooo ha. I have tried to repent bt its nt jst workin, nothin makes sense, and I am told I will b punisjd for not uinderstanding.
Exactly my thought , You should only get punished for breaching an agreement which you consciouly agreed to abide by.

Which agreement did we enter into with God when coming to the world to warant Eternal Hell.

Am sure many earthlings would have turned down the offer if we were consulted before our forced entry into this crazy world.

Mrs Calloti de Halloti dats what i have in mind .

If there is really a God and he actually wants us to worship him ,he should have designed a better system in which all human naturally recognize him even without being taught.

I am sure a good number atheist will readily convert if the existence of God can be proved beyond what is written in a book.

Also God should know better than to keep himself invisible without any physical prove or signature of his existence(am not refering to any of his creations as most religionist point to as prove) . As intelligent beings with high level of curiousity we tend to believe more in things we can see touch or experience first hand, thats not our fault, thats how we were created.
I dont blame the ancient men for worshipping the sun ,moon, cow ,tree, e.t.c as an explaination for the the unknown ,cos they prefer to hold on to something they can experience first hand, rather than an invisble being, like the Religionist talking and shouting at themselves in the name of prayer.

Also with regards to salvation - works + God's grace ,thats excactly what Jesus preached.
Except of-course Paul understood it more than Jesus himself.

People help me ooooo, i heard another one today!!!

Someone was preaching today ans he said "Eniti o ba rope ohun gbon kole wo alijanna , mumu to gbo to gba loma wo alijanna".

Meaning , any body that tries using his wisdom on religious matters will not make heaven, but a "mumu" i.e someone that can not think for himself, will make heaven, because he will just hear and obey without question anything.

I was likely exactly !!! Religious folks are brain dead when it comes to Religion they switch it on when it comes to other matters.

Alternatively Iran should push their agenda to a point where they can produce nuclear weapon quickly if they need to, this willserve as deterant to any future israeli bullying, as they will be in a state of - mutually assured destruction, like The US and Russia.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel Arm-twisting Obama To Go To War With Iran? by TheOP1(m): 5:53pm On Aug 31, 2012
Violence begets violence.

The solution to the problem of the mid-east is dialogue, where all stakeholders come together to trash out differences in truth equity and without bias( for israel as always).

Pray, why should israel keep nuclear weapons to defend itself as a last resort and Iran which is equally a soveiragn state can't.

Even if Iran makes a nuclear weapon today ,are they dumb enough to use it offensively without fear of full scale retaliation from US and her allies.

No country in the world has used nukes against another's population save the USA, ironically they are the ones policing the world, who says they wouldnt use it again. Infact if we were living in a fair and just world The USA today should have been banned from engaging in any nuclear related activity for what they did, rather they still keep to themselves a large stock pile of nukes.

In world of justice the USA shouldnt be the one pointing fingers.

Moreover IRAN is a signitary to the nuclear proliferation treaty and has occationally openned its facilities for inspection on the other hand Israel has arrogantly refused to come to terms with the treaty and does not allow any inspections.

By Yahawah , I ask you where is the fairness in this.

Also it is well known that Iran has in thepast called for a nuclear free middle-east ,but you see , israel is the main impediment to such a move.

They arrogantly hold on to nuclear weapons and then point fingers at Iran for wanting to develop nuclear faclities for peacefull purpose.

The solution to this impending problem is a nuclear free mid-east.

@ Mr Dela, remember this verse

It is night and the meal has ended jesus lie prostrate on the ground in the garden of gethesane. He fervently prays, "father, if thou art willing ,let this cup pass from me, yet NOT MY WILL, BUT THINE, be done"

He was sweating drops of blood.
He obviously wasnt very willing and sort from God an alternative to what was coming

And I ask what if God answered his prayer.

Christianity Etc › Re: My Theory About The Earth, Heaven And Hell by TheOP1(m): 6:24pm On Aug 27, 2012
Well, first of all the so called multiverse is simply an idea and there is no evidence to confirm that. It originates from the logic of earth -> solar system -> galaxy -> universe -> multiverse? Sounds nice to think about and postulate different possibilities but we can only see 13.7 billion light years in all direction before we hit the opaque extremely hot plasma like region (which is actually remnants of the bang itself).

Now, look at it from another angle. What if we are here by chance and there is really no omniscient, benevolent, omnipotent being or entity to create all this? or our idea of a god is TOTALLY Flawed? shocked

The whole idea of original sin is frankly appalling if you ask me. A so called all powerful god must know the beginning and the end, if so must also know that his creation will fall short of expectations and put in place measures to correct it (Any reasonable engineer will do this). Except this is what he/she/it wanted in the first place so he/she/it can punish and create more angels and demons (by your logic) at the same time. what's the goal here?
Again, he/she/it has a funny way of "answering" prayers and putting priorities straight. A hungry child in a war zone will pray endlessly with no response while someone else prays for promotion in the office and gets it? That's just plain wrong (you can say god knows best here, but if he* created us in his* image and likeness then we have become smarter than him* cos you and I know who we will answer first in that scenario). Well on the other hand we have to ask ourselves, which god is the right one? They cant all be correct right?

So then He sends his Son (who is by the way himself in another manifestation) to come and die for our sins so that he can forgive us of the original sin (and every subsequent sin) that was his fault to start with? Very twisted logic. That who ever believes he was bruised, tortured and murdered for our sins will be saved. Now lets back track here for a second and take a closer look. He came to die for our sins but he knew he will resurrect again after being killed, so what the hell is the point? I think we've all been had here shocked. I'll die for a lot of simple things if I know I'll resurrect after three days lol. Such an easy task for a god to do don't you think? tongue
what's up with all the sacrifice for goodness sake? cant he (or she or it) just wave his (or her or its) magic stick and we r back to normal?

Food for thought:
We are probably here all by ourselves and when we die, that's the end of it. No spirit realm, no soul, no heaven, no hell, no judgement, no 72 virgins. Lets make the best of this tiny speck of time we get to spend here. Enjoy every moment and be happy to be here while showing compassion, Loving, caring, and helping your fellow man/woman. Knowing that our death is the end of everything makes living here on earth worth a million times more.
Now I'm not here to convert anyone from their faith. I used to love preaching atheism any chance I had until I realised something. Religion gives a lot of people hope(although it blinds them), it makes them wake up the next morning and believing things will get better(although it limits their potentials), it gives comfort in times of bereavement (although its a lie we tell ourselves), it forces morality on people (although, anyone who needs religion to be moral is inherently evil). So let them have what they have and lets all live in peace cool

Foreign Affairs › Re: If Isreal Attacks Iran, Likely Scenario by TheOP1(op): 3:10pm On Aug 23, 2012
The OP: There is no certainty of a factory for nuclear bomb, as there is no proof of an Iranian plan to attack Israel or the U.S at an unspecified time in the future.
As far I remember, the only country that used the atomic bomb against another country's population in history of man was the U.S - also known as Qthe democracy exporters"-, and israel, even if it is widely believed that they have nuclear weapons as well, has never been attacked or invaded for disarmament and is not considered as a potential threat (by western countries).

What is difficult to understand is why the world should continue to tolerate the never -ending aggressive attitude of israel and further more, why the State of Isreal should believe they have the right to attack Iran on the assumption that "Iranians are, afterall, a nation whose leaders have set themselves a strategic goal of wiping Israel off the map".
