RomanceRe: I Am 39 And She Is 20. So What? by ThePrince2: 1:24am On Feb 25, 2009
Sweetpain,

With the lady in mind and that fact you are married. Within your marriage and culture is it permissable to have more than one wife?

Your options are simple;

1. You have a fling and get the infatuation out of your mind, and keep your condoms fresh and handy.

2. If you cannot have more than one wife, she could be your mistress in the Western sense and you would have to lavish her and support her in her life and career.

3. She could be your concubine , and you can set up another home and have dual households.

Provided she is okay with your existing arrangements and has no desires to have you leave your existing wife and children then you should like adults discuss ,shortly into any intimate relationship, how you see the relationship being. As long as your open from the outset I cannot see a problem with it.

Although with the age difference, other than great Sex, what else would you be doing with her the remaining 20 hours a day ? What sort of conversations will you be having, will it not be frustrating seeing her do the mistakes or behaviour in the manner you used 19 years ago ?

The age gap is large, and is likely to be a problem, just because you can have her does'nt mean you have to have her? You better off with somebody a bit more mature say 28 - 35 years of age.
PoliticsRe: A Better Name for Nigeria? by ThePrince2: 4:58pm On Aug 29, 2008
Nigeria was named by Flora Lugard the Wife of Fredrick Lugard the 1st Colonial Governor of Nigeria.

It was going to be called Goldshisa after George Goldie who had the Royal Niger Company ( abit like how Rhodesia was named after Cecil Rhodes).

Hello Inky,

I my advice to you  would be as follows:

*  Gather as many facts about your father as possible.
*  Don't give all the fact away but some and let those that know the other half of them show their authentcity (spelling)
* Find out what Town your Father came from in Nigeria
* Visit Nigeria for three weeks
* GO to The Nigerian Television Authority (Lagos)  with the details - They are very Helpful
* GO to a  Newpaper such as the Nigerian Sun\Vangard etc with your Story and with Photos
* If they won't write an article about you then BUY a Page of Advertising Space and place Pictures of your Father.
* Beware that your Father may be in different circumstances ( another Wife or what ever)
* Nigerians are very sympathetic in respect to these matters and people are very helpful only the ( Fools are wicked or otherwise)
*If you know the Villiage or Town that your father came from obviously visit there.

Good luck,

BusinessRe: Business Ideas For Nigerian In UK With Contacts In Nigeria by ThePrince2: 2:17am On Jan 19, 2008
While Nigeria is abundant with commodities unlike the U.K, it should first only buy and sell it's commodities in Naira not $.

Service industries are the ones that are earning the most, and are less capital intensive. they rely on Human Capital. Therefore the Internet is a perfect medium for earning money by offering services created on Nigeria at nigerian rates to Western Companies. For those of us without an imgaination the following are some examples;

* Web page Design
* Company Accounts ( however issues of Trust involved here)
* Trading of Derivatives (Forex, Commodities)
* Creative Work in Advertising , Design .
* If one has relatives in the West they will have access to cheap money, i.e money loaned at low interests @ 8/10/12%
this money should be used for funding businesses , the problem is the desire to steal the money thus drain it's supply.

"Where confidence flows, money goes"

* Data entry services
* Fashion - mass production of clothes etc
* Business Online via the internet
* Selling Residential Properties to Nigerians in the Diasporia advertising on the Internet with Pictures etc and having arrangements with Nigerian Banks to have a second charge on the Expatriates Western Homes thus gaining good revenue from $,£ or Euro nominated currencies yet funding Property development growth in Nigeria.

Etc, etc, etc,
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama For President? by ThePrince2: 1:20am On Jan 19, 2008
For me as a Black Man of Nigerian Heritage it is a no brainer.

I would VOTE  Obama in.

It is every Black and African American Man or Womans duty to vote in Obama. Bush, Clinton, Carter or Reagan (sp) or Nixon even it's not about Talent or who's best for the Job. It's about getting the most votes and usually having the budget to ensure that is the case. This is what Western Democracy is about.

For anyone of African American heritage not to vote for Obama for me illuminates just what is wrong with Black people. We cannot support our own. We will not support our own. Sh*t I walked down my high street the other day and saw five Polish Grocery stores, three Chinese shops ( excluding the resturants) well the Polish have only been in this country (U.k ) in force for about 5 years and the chinese are a very small minority yet the only Businesses I am seeing from the African or Black Community are the Frigging Barbers and Takeway shop! Chinese Dentists, Asian Accountants, Doctors, Stockbrokers, Property Developer ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and I am not talking about the odd one or two I am talking enmasse! I am sick of seeing Road Sweepers, footballers, comics , singers, Bouncers, Security Guards, Cleaners, public sector workers being overly populated by African and Black Diasporians, instead of taking the relevant positions in society F*ck of course Obama should be the next President what Black person should even doubt that possibility ? Only a House slave or a minstral.

It's time for African Diasporians to break out of their Slave mentality and inferiority complexies and stand up for what we can achieve and be. Obama it that symbolism of the Zeitgeist and one has to stand behind that without question.
CultureRe: Your Views On Polygamy? by ThePrince2: 2:26pm On Dec 13, 2007
The Londoner,

1. What is natural doe'nst always apply to all individuals.
- Some people are positive
- Some people are negative
- Some people are Fat
- Some people are thin
- Some people have Ginger Hair
-Some people do not

In all of the above cases the charactaristic is natural, but not universal.

2. Therefore, while indeed some wives of Polygamous marriages may seek out another partners, their behaviour would be no more or no less than a wife or Partner in a monogamous relationship.

3. In a Polygamous relationship, if an when a Woman becomes pregnant, the Man in the relationship should and more often does take responsibility for his Child. Usually the whole background behind Polygamous relationships is that a man has taken on a number of wives with the caveat that he can provide for those wives and his children.

This is the implied agreement among the parties involved. The man securing his linage via multiple spouses and providing for them in the same household, The African American\ Caribbean version of that is some what different, like wise the Southern European principle of having a mistress.

4. In the case of the wives having additional husbands and then getting pregnant, brings into question who would provide any financial assistance for her ? Barring DNA testing, either of the husbands may not take responsibility for the Child due to the questionmark on whoose child it actually is. More so in which Household would the woman seek to reside if the child is from another Man outside of her 1st Husbands household ?

5. There are cultures where the woman has a number of Husbands and the issue of who the Father is has been used to garnish mutual support of all the Men in the relationship, but this is a Cultural aspect worked out through their own culture rather than an Imported Chauvinistic Culture that European Culture tends to be, and only the weaker cultures tend to adopt it, Pagans v Islam etc.

Has that answered your question to your satisfaction?

SimiBrazil, the question on "Cheating" would imply breaking the rules, in which case one has to ask:

Who Framed the Rules ?
Who subscribed to them?

Are people entitled to draft their own rules or must they be handed down to them from Societies and people who usually no longer exist, or are not actually in direct involvement of the relationship?

It is not a case of whether or not one agrees with the practice but acknowledges the concept of individuals doing what is right for them rather than go with the flow of standard European "Value" system either through the CMS dictates or European Liberals.

We live in a society of people that craves to be individuals yet clammer to confirm ?!!
LiteratureRe: The Most Memorable Book You Read by ThePrince2: 2:23am On Nov 23, 2007
I am a keen reader. compulsive almost.

However the I could never narrow the Books down to just one. Also any one who simply mentions the bible needs to go to a good book shop.
I will list the following as highly influencial you can google them if you have time:

The Trilogy of Henry Miller's:   The Rosy Crucifixion
George Orwell's                      1984
Aldous Huxley's                       A Brave New World
Ayn Rands                               The Fountainhead
Ayn Rands                               The Atlas Shrugged
Somerset Maguams               Of Human Bondage
The Reverend Johnson's        The Yoruba - Their History

A Henry Miller Readers own comments: "This is one of the first books I really read. Perhaps the one that started me on the path of really reading and contemplating. Or as Henry put it - "It was there like a rusty nail in a log thrown up on a deserted beach during a wintry storm. I can't express it better. You walk along the beach, the air is tangy, your spirits are high, you think clearly -- not always brilliantly -- but clearly. Then the log, a phenomenal part of the substantial world: it lies there, full of experience, full of mystery. Some man hammered that nail in somewhere, sometime, somehow. There was a reason for doing it. He was making a ship for other men to sail in. Building ships was his life-work -- and his own destiny as well as the destiny of his children went into every stroke of the hammer. Now the log lies there, and the nail is rusty, but Christ, it's more than just a rusty nail -- or else everything is crazy and meaningless, "  Sort of makes you think doe'snt it,

Famous Last Words:

On the Engagement of Sir Paul Mac Cartney and Heather Mills:

Reporter to Sir Paul:"Hey Paul will you have a Pre Nup?"

Sir Paul:   "Don't be silly, we're far too much in love for that"

Heather Mills: ,  smiley

Too many successful business men forget their Business mind and put on Rose Coloured glasses [flash=200,200][/flash] when it comes to marriage. Let's face it. While men may sleep with many women they are rather choosy when it comes to tying the knot of Marriage.

Women on the other hand get into organisation mode in respect to marriage. For some women marriage is the best Business transaction they will make.

A Prenuptial Agreement is simply insurance nowadays as most Woman only hear the words" For Better, "

More over especially here in the West, it's always 50% of HIS assest never 50% of his Liabilities.  huh That's a win\win business transaction if ever I heard one
CultureRe: Your Views On Polygamy? by ThePrince2: 2:42pm On Nov 09, 2007
The Londoner,

As with all people some are more promiscuos than others. It's not a question of whether we like it or not. Most people do not like going to the toilet? Or many women do not like having periods, a large majority do not like getting ill or dying all the aforementioned points are natural.

However it's societies dealing with these issues that dictate which is acceptable and in what circumstance. I am of the opinion of letting people work out what's best for the common good of their own private relationships and not dictating what is the correct moral view point.  Especially when that view point has come from directly outside of one's culture.

I blame the views on Polygamy and it's opporsite directly on the Western, Missionary influenced, social control that many Africans rush to aspire to believing their own culture to be inferior. I don't subscribe this thus have an open mind about Polygamy. What I don't quite understand and perhaps you might educate me is why in the Western World should a Homosexual Marriage be more "Normal" than a Polygamous one, and one have the support of law behind it and the other not?
CultureRe: Your Views On Polygamy? by ThePrince2: 9:18pm On Nov 03, 2007
I am totally 100% behind Adconline  one this topic.

I am reading bogus statements about what is natural, which all seem to fit into some idealised view of Western Monogamist relationships from a feminists persecptive.

The fact is that Promiscuity is a very natural type of behaviour in Humans and Animals alike yes like being born without clothes is.  What is not natural is the why society seeks to sort of control society enforce the absence of one and the insistance of adopting the other.

I would like to be in a polygamist relationship with two wives. I have never made any bones about that to friends or family or even to woman.

What Woman are afraid of is the idea of a Man sharing their time, more importantly FINANICAL RESOURCES  with another Women and her Children. This is the real issue that women have regarding polygamy.  In the West the financial resources of the Man are heavly eskewed to the the Wife who has sort of 1st Charge over his finances if and when they split. Polygamy would nullify some of the rich resource. That is why it is not a surprise many women with influenced by western values over African values oppose it .
PropertiesRe: Lessons For Nigerians In Diaspora, When Building Your House Back Home. by ThePrince2: 1:43am On Oct 03, 2007
Another tip; worth considering is as follows:

Buy a Digital Camera and give it to a member of the Family or a Friend to take photos of the development either weekly or monthly and have these images e-mailed over to enable to track the development.
CultureRe: African Widows And Traditional Rites: What's Your Position? by ThePrince2: 2:57pm On Sep 29, 2007
The Problem with Africa as a whole and not just Nigerians is that they are so willing to give up wholesale their values and customs in the Name of progress.

First many Nigerian were forced to be one country when it's obvious that there are separate nations dominating it. When given independance instead of revising it's borders African countries still insist in OBEYING the borders imposed on them from the "Berlin Conference of 1885" !

Then having Chritianity forced down their throats in the colonial era, having followed Christian practice, they give up their own cultures. Not realising that the West constantly revise their doctrine or religion to suit the times that they are living in. Why else have many "Chrisitian" bodies been more accepting to Homosexual behaviour?

African Culture and religions, if any still are strong enough, should also be revised to incorporated modern day living not not discarded. As we discard our Cultural practises we weaken our self and our resolve to better understand who we are and what we are, in the name of "progress".

The muslims do not have that weakness. This is why the West is scared of them. Not because of terror but because in an age where the only thing that Westerners believe in is the Nightly News or the Media over Religion the Muslims are a rock solid force of believe that can adapt successfully to Western advances yet retain their origins and Cultures. Even expand them.

If only the Yoruba religion could do like wise.

Now the move to discard our African heritage and become "Saved souls" is actually being debunked by our White Cousins who are or have moved in more ever increasing secular circles. Now the new religion of the West is called "Democracy" and once more they have the World trying to dance to their tune.

The democracy that they preach is nothing more than a two or perhaps three party state, on a rotational basis.

We as Yoruba, Ibgo, Hausa Nigerians and Africans should revise our beliefs and heritage, preserving it's core and adapting it to our present but never discarding it in the "Name of Progress".
BusinessRe: If You Are Overpaid By Your Bank by ThePrince2: 8:24am On Sep 28, 2007
There was a time where I would always pay the money back.

I was told buy a Army Major, "If you are over paid, put the money in an Interest Bearing account. Then once they ask for it back return the money and keep the interest".

If it's very likely that they would not be asking for it back. Yes you can send it back. And yes your consciences (sp) would be clear or would it?

The person who over paid you will just as well be underpaying another customer, and as other have mentioned we all know the banks policy in that regard.

By paying the money back most times the tiller doe'snt show any appreciation of the fact that her\his job may have been on the line so it's unlikely that they would have learned from that lesson.

Secondly, by paying the money back, you are keeping in employment a incompetent employee who is a hazard to the Bank that is keeping your money.

Kobojunkie

I understand where your coming from. And people who know don't make it easier for you. You want simple answers to simple questions like as follows;

1. Cost of quality daily newspaper ,

2. Cost of a Glass of Beer in a Bar ,

3. Cost of a Decent Meal in a Cafe ,

4. Cost of a decent Meal in a Resturant,

5. Rent for a decent appartment in Victoria Island for one month ,

6. Typical Salaries of works

a, Store assistant

b, Taxi driver

c, Junior Banker\Stockbroker

d, Teacher

e, Engineer

f, Mechanic etc

From that information you could derive a lot of investment ideas, on a Commerical or Personal level.

Because As Oscare Wilde once said we ! Know the cost of everything, yet the value of nothing"
