Ugosample: What you wrote about culture is very very dumb.
How can you say a sub group does not have culture? Do You even know what culture is
Culture is way of life, and saying they have no culture is tantamount to saying that they are dead, because as long as you are alive, you must have a way of life, which is your culture.
Stop reasoning in such manner, it's wrong I think he's right if you come to the u.s you'd understand that the akatas(black Americans) are lost between the western culture and their roots. They believe they are Americans because they gained citizenship by birth which is fine but what's your definition of culture when you have nothing to show for it? the funniest thing is they have hatred for Africans so much. I don't know if it's some gender stuff but the hatred is there |

lionlee216: Since I have been here, i have met two american ladies and seriously i wasnt used to all these kind of life. I wouldnt blame all our Nigerian ladies that do watch Nollywood and want all these romantic guys opening car door for them, breakfast in bed etc lol.
I met one wonderful lady and we have been going well until she asked that powerful question. She asked that do you eat pvssy? I sd No!. The next thing was "You are a nice guy but i dont think i can marry you since you cant eat pvssy, its one of my main requirements for marriage". She just locked up for me. So I told my friend that has been here before me and said You dont say you dont eat pvssy and i asked him if he does eat pvssy and he smiled and sd "My Brother, You see my girlfrnd likes me alot, it because i eat her pvssy well well" i was dumbfounded because he is the least person i will think he will do that cos i know how prayerful he is back in naija. So i lost the lady.
So i met another and i told her I dont drive and she was ready to xome pick up for a date. Then i went to my seniors to ask for orientation and i got all the necessary orientation. So she came, picked me up from church and on our way to our nice place for date, she sd she doesnt know how long it will take but she will like to get some stuffs at the store. So we gisted till we got to store. I quickly called my people to tell me how to behave at the store and asked hope i wont be the one reaponsible for the shopping, they said no. Na so i dey initiate another topic wey i don plan to talk about when we get to our place of date and you need to see me pushing trolley beside her, she boughts some items while i collected them from her and arranged inside the trolley, i dey do like person wey don chop vegetables.. i packed all the stuffs inside 8 nylons, pushed the trolley to her car, offload everything and she sd she will like to drop them off quickly at her apartment. Na so i follow her to her house. I carried all the nylons to her apartment, she was just smiling and said " You are very nice and caring", I smiled and replied " All africans are nice especially Nigerians". So we got to her apartment, i sat down and she started preparing lunch while we started a conversation. I talked and talked and exhausted all the topics i have crammed for that date. Mehn, Americans sabi talk. She told me she dated a Nigerian before and even pronounced his name properly, she pronounced abuja, warri and lagos well and damn, this lady got manners, i guess that nigerian taught her some of our culture. She also told me about one nigerian that lives in lagos that she met on facebook and she has been helping to come over here. immediately i heard that, i knew she has been scammed lol... Well long story short, we had our date in her apartment and it really worth it. We went to a friend's of mine, carrying her bags and all kind of stuffs and she was just smiling. At the end of it all, i chopped a deep kiss for being caring. She is even planning vacation with me, seems like i don hit jackpot lol.
I enjoyed carrying her bags, holding her hands and the shopping stuffs though and i anytime i go back home, na to dey do all of that to my future wife oo. I think it makes love stronger. I only watched them on nigerian movies in Nigeria but in America, I practicalised it.
Life is good in America, if you wan cross road, car go dey wait for u make u cross, You dont need to run, try that for naija, na OYO u dey but this people are full of fake smiles though. Whoever tells u not to come here na enemy of progress.
Franknetter, thanks for this thread once again. No uncle fit bobo me say seat dey for airplanes' wings.
#drop mic True talk you suppose sabi lick choco ladies over here love it. Your post just reminded me of when I touched down then I went to visit my uncle na so I see baba for kitchen dey wash plate dey cook like you know it's a different thing back home. On countless times I have seen men carrying their babies. Like it's a joint work over here. And about making use of the zebra crossing that's true also done it multiple times I dey Waka like say na my papa get land if to say na for naija I for don lose leg . For sure anyone can come to the u.s or go to some more developed country as far as it's on a legal route less life would be hard. |

Toppytek: I don't really understand you here.. can u pls elaborate? Back in 2009 the waiting period was 7 years. Like when your filing gets valid and the nvc transfers your case over to the embassy in nigeria. Year by year the number of people who file for their family members are increasing that's why the waiting period increases also. |

etiosa97: I've been following this thread from day one. Even read all the stories in Franknetter's website.
Now i decided to post cuz i really need yall advise.... Currently I'm a student and studying Science Lab technology... Right now I'm like the breadwinner of the house since i lost my dad about 13 years ago. I've been paying all my bills in school and i recently bought a land as well as changed my mom's business into something reasonable... Now the thing is i have about 2 million naira left in my account and I'm already thinking about migrating to the US or Canada.. I don't wanna build a house right now although I've setup the foundation already........ I just wanna migrate. I need yall opinion... Is 2million naira too small to migrate ? Or do i need to work more and to mention I'm just 18, would be 19 in two months Oga did you check out my previous post? I guess not. Let me just address your issue First of all you can't migrate to the United states unless you have someone who is related by blood(A nuclear family) and is already a green card holder or a citizen. Secondly if you were to get a family who would file for you that's good but the waiting time is really long. Back in 2009 it was about 7 years but if you are going to slot in your file then you should be looking at towards 2026 or more (I don't know about Canada) Thridly if you don't have anyone to harbor you over here. Covert Your two million naira to usdollar . You could get to pay your first month rent but certainly not your second month because you would need to get few things. Finally I feel you need someone like who would show you around like how things go on over here e.t.c If you don't have someone to file for you another option is a student visa So if you living fine in nigeria then that's the best for now . Trust me on this those who enjoy Yankee the most are those with white collar jobs Good luck |

Guys am sorry it's been a while I dropped a post no be my fault na Yankee as I Dy dey see am with my eyes lol.. So far America is good and it's for those who have to work towards what they want.Yes America is good and it's a land of opportunities those who are enjoying the system are those who are making $70,000 yearly They make nothing less than 30dollars an hour. But still doesn't mean those who don't do white collar jobs are not doing good. No matter how I explain you still wouldn't get it, now everything makes perfect sense to me I didn't understand back in Nigeria. For those in Nigeria if a relative of your's sends you #10,000 monthly trust me is something we don't pick money from trees over here you work for your pay! |
