I know flooding is not peculiar to Nigeria but I believe ours is preventable to an extent......However, the masses do not help issues by packing the drainage ways with dirty and the government unwilling to construct proper drainage channels. Lagos is far ahead of other states in terms of infrastructural development but most of the areas in its mainland would be considered a slum in comparison to major cities of the world, even in Africa.
