fairlyisabel: Johnydon22 you re the best. Williamso I respect you. Safarigirl and co, you guys are wonderful. Women are really dying slowly. Women are really being murdered indirectly by these chauvinists in Nigeria especially here in nairaland. We are women. We are proud of who we are. Sexists should please allow us to be. We want to be free, alive and well respected like them too. This is not equality per se but to be given a sense of belonging. If you dress like a sex object and you are treated as such, whose fault is it? The man's, yours or both's?

safarigirl: heightened curiosity should not lead to r-ape.
You cannot go to a court and defend ra-pist by citing the victim's dress code in a sane society. Only mad people do that Nothing justifies rape, not even insanity 'cause a mad man/woman can recognize and feel physical pain.
That opined, women deliberately induce the untoward advances. How many times haven't we heard women say they are dressing to "kill"? How many times haven't your girlfriends said something like , "girl, we gon' "kill" them today" infront of a full-length mirror? How many times haven't you dressed in skimpy clothes for a party because you want to "steal" the show?
Need I go on? Don't play the sole victim here, missy.

safarigirl: India has the highest r-ape cases in the world. Not USA or France, not even Jamaica or Brazil. India with all their coverings.
If you cannot control that thing between your legs, don't blame anyone for your short-comings. Deal with it yourself. Only an adolescent has urges he can't control. A real man will need to see a fully n-ude body to react blindly Wrong. Women taunting men with the possibility of more by being semi-nùde heightens our curiosity and leads us to crave the women more.
Why do you think an average stripper makes more money per hour than the average full-on prøstitute?

datguru: If your conscience tell you what you did is bad, then its a sin but if you feel nothing, then forget it. The point is: Have you sinned/erred? Yes.
1. For wasting the paper and defeating the purpose you were handed the bills by not reading the information therein.
2. For littering your environment! Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

thronekid: Nice attempt, sir. But no, it still is wrong. So what is it then? The punctuations are in place and I added a hyphen to YOUR translated version.
Wait a minute: Nnamdi Azikiwe died in 1996 and not 56 years ago!
|
Education › Re: Nairaland Residents' Grammar Diary... by TheSonOfMark(m): 12:45am On Jul 26, 2015 |
thronekid: 1. I am hungry.
2. 56 years ago, Nnamdi Azikiwe was freed from making freedom based protests when he died. (Someone correct this. It is not correct grammatically. If you can, you are superbly wow!)
None got any. Not even 1. A kiss, MizMyColi? 56 years ago, Nnamdi Azikiwe was freed from making freedom-based protests when he died.
Note: The hyphen is important to indicate the compound word.
That opined (and corrected), the sentence ,seemingly, is in accordance with the standard rules of modern written English Language.

Family › Re: Nigerian Ladies And The Push For Feminism by TheSonOfMark(m): 10:02pm On Jul 25, 2015 |
GHoJes: First of all, that your one conclusion you arrived at is wrong because it does not hold true for all cheating "yoruba" men. I even think its not true in your case as you'v have decided to cheat if you see calabar girl (na so you like food), then blame it on your wife or feminism.
What do you even want? Is it for your wife to stop working or always fix your meal? Your wife adds no value at all? try the maid or calabar woman whether they have all the values you want or if you will not remember why you married your wife? I think the maid is not a better cook else you would have compromise. You think you wife dont meet guys in her work place that can "add value" you may not be adding or you think only you want all value addition?
Man, you deal with your problem and not run to a safer ground instead or you will also run from calabar woman when she lacks in an area.
It seems your love language is act of service, if true, your wife is doing one by loving your daughter the way no maid, calabar girl or woman may do. She only need to step up, sometimes all you need do is hold her hand to step up.
You married her a career woman, i also doubt your perfectionist type would have been attracted to the uneducated housewife you described. Her job is tiring as she said and she got a maid because she needed one. Its not like she is making no effort to cook at all, abi you have other problems with her. Cut her some slacks, encourage and appreciate her. Routine is not easy to break, she is used to the maid helping out when you are not around. I doubt if you've told her these the way you told us, you've not make her see your pain in it. You told her about the maid cooking again but you left out the seduction part that would have made her chase the maid and help her to be careful.
If you really fear God and love daughter, do all to send that maid away. Communicate where it hurts to your wife so that she may ease things, you may too may find you are hurting her somewhere. What's you obsession with Efik-Ibibio women? You keep losing men to them?

Talking with you is more pleasurable this way. LOL. Reminds me of the gruelling mental torture every reporter tasked (punished ? ) with having to interview the famed Sesquipedalian, Hon. Obahiagbon, goes through when transcribing.

I wonder why I never could speak any variation of the Sino-language even though I was hooked on Chinese movies like every kid my age back then.
