Smart! Parents (mums especially) of yesteryears would probably have smacked the child so hard on its bum, it'd have had a five-minute long spell of amnesia. Jamie: What the fùck?! Mum: *Smack* Jamie, repeat what you said. Jamie: I... I... I can't remember, mummy. Mum: Good, good. Continue playing with your toy train. |

Alright, feminists-cum-misandrists, converge on this thread. It's one of those rare opportunities when denigrating the male folk is allowed. What will it be this time? "All men are randy, insensitive goats." "Men are untrustworthy douchebags." Today and right here, we'd take the insults. 6 Likes 1 Share |

SalomonKane:Break-up and move on. If I cheat my lady shouldn't forgive me and vice versa. When there's a mutual agreement to date exclusively - mostly initiated by the woman- both parties should stick to the terms. It's an 'emotional contract'. 2 Likes |

CyberGypsy:No, virginity isn't worthless. It is a gem but not exactly as precious as the 'diamond' of attributes - good character. I'd travel to the moon for a good-natured girl but I might not even bat an eyelid for a girl who is, well, just a virgin. |
Romance / Re: Reasons Why Sex Should Wait Until Marriage by TheSonOfMark(m): 10:20am On Feb 05, 2017 |
CyberGypsy:I'm not settling for less. Having sexual intercourse in no way makes a girl less...as long as she has it within the context of (a) defined relationship(s) and with deserving men. And yes, I know body count matters for guys and girls. |

Your planets of assumptions seem to revolve around your sun of naivety. While casual and indiscriminate sex is a no-no, virginity doesn't top the requisites for marriage. I am more interested in how cultured a girl is, our compatibility and other such things. Virginity is like the icing on the cake and who says I can't enjoy my cake without the icing? 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Igboid:Rubbish! Border towns have always interacted but the people maintain their identities. The Opobos and Ogonis of Rivers State understand basic Ibibio 'cause they are close to Akwaibom communities but certainly not 'Ibibiod'. Heck! Our meals are even similar yet we do not go about forcing the Ibibio tag on them. The Ikas and Obot Akaras are Annangs (Ibibiod) who understand Igbo but are they are purely Annangs all the same. There are Akwaibom L.G.As who border Abia; hence they understand Igbo and vice versa. Get your facts rights! P.S: Half the supposed 'languages' in the quoted link are slightly varieting dialects of Ibibio just like there are various dialects of the Yoruba and Igbo languages. 6 Likes |

Igboid:Hogwash! A quick search on the web about "Ohaobu" reveals no official comfirmation of it being an Igbo-speaking communities. You posted a free edition blog to serve as evidence? 'Ohaobu' isn't even mentioned in any trust news site! You mentioned three communities but when put inside the dock of hard facts, your defence crumbled like a small sand dune hit by ocean waves. 3 Likes |

Igboid:You still don't get it, do you? Azumini is in ABIA State, not AKWAIBOM. There's an old, rusty signboard which reads "Welcome to Abia State at the beginning of Azumini's untarred road which leads to Aba but its people bear Akwaibom names too. Trying to play smart? Mention the AKWAIBOM L.G.As in which these supposed Igbo communities are located. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Igboid:Man, there are no Ndoki-Igbo communities in Akwaibom. The Azuminis/ Azumires aren't even in Akwaibom but they speak our languages fluently. The Azuminis (who are Abians) are neighbours to the Annangs who are wholely Akwaibomites and speak a variation of Ibibio - Annang. I challenge you to mention just one Akwaibom L.G.A with a single Igbo community. 3 Likes |
