vickydankal: Sexual abstinence is necessary even in marriage, sometimes when my husband is on certain projects he will tell me no ministrations till the project is over , then I was thinking he was being mysterious not until I met a Pastor who told me the power of sex, he said that sex is like a rhythm, if you break the chain it will have side effects but when you have it in the right timing can produce a greater beneficial effects too.
He doesn’t have sex with his wife Saturday nights, during major prayers or programs. It helps him to concentrate, spirituality and energy to work. He deploys all those hormones to work and he gets greater results.
Wish unmarried men and women can abstain from sex and use that energy to hustle, get closer to God and chop life later. your pastor is sneaky . Let me guess he's your marriage advisor? |

How do you feel everytime you remember what you did here, for instance? here's what I mean Let's not face the shooter , Face the children killed According to karma they were killed because they must have killed someone too There are 3 sides to every story |

budaatum: My knowing does die with me unless I store it somewhere apart from in my head.
When I die, for instance, my writings on NL will remain, and you, for one, on hearing I have died, will dig up some of our conversations in remembrance. And if you dig them up long enough, someone might decide to compile them into a book - though I hope not, and voila, the ideology of buda might just take off, and some might make a religion of it - though, I hope no one starts worshipping buda as that would mean they do not understand a word I've written.
An example would be Buddha. He is not worshipped by those who understand his words. Another would be Jesus. They say God exalted him, but the truth is that humans writing after he died were the real exalters. He would recent the religion of Christianity if he were to return today as he never advocated "worship Jesus" despite whatever you read in the Bible. maybe , but I know for sure his 'father' loves blinded worship and exaltations What if that was how Religion started I know it was for profit obviously but what if it started when a genius of the early era died and the the NL then (library, scrolls, crests, random letters and notes ) were then propounded , and the said genius 'hyped ' as the son of God because his genius skills were unfamiliar and divine to them that they interpreted it in different ways (because they cannot fully comphrehend the genius of this man) hence the alterations of history/holy books |

I'm certain that you'd recognise when someone loves or hates you as real even if you can't measure it. Just go through some past threads and you'd see the difference between your lovers and those you hate and who hate you.
Yes, animals do feel love and hatred, you'd know this if you ever had a pet. If I said a dog, for instance, bites those it loves, would you agree? I love dogs Her name is Bella , a GSD , you? |

Yes, animals do feel love and hatred, you'd know this if you ever had a pet. If I said a dog, for instance, bites those it loves, would you agree? Not that they are not real , they are only real to the person percieving this emotion Take for instance Hitler passes through our middle as walking down the street , I know hitler as a Nazi War Lord and you know him as a philanthropist , our emotions of him would be totally different , whose emotion is right amongst this two , even though they both believe the emotion they feel is real , it doesn't affect Hitler , so how do you know his feeling towards us is as we take him ? |

Take karma, for instance. I do not believe in karma at all. What I do know for sure is that I always reap what I sow. And there's no way I could harvest cocoa if I put maize in the ground.
Take "what will be will be". Indeed, if I sit on my ass and do nothing perhaps. But by the power invested in me, what is is whatever I put effort in to make be, because, "life is indeed not predestined".
Aliens? Jung would say they are the 20th century version of angels, and then laugh when alien believers don't believe in angels and demons.
Evolution? Death? Well since you accept it happens, shouldn't the correct expression be "I know", rather than, you "believe"?
Believers are lazy people. They create crap inside their heads and claim it is so. Beliefs themselves are the crap. They are hypothesis - suppositions or proposed explanations made on the basis of limited evidence. At best, they are a starting point for further investigation. And the strong do the investigative work so they actually know.

We can't know anything before you were born because you did not exist before you were born. And your brain function stops once you're dead, so you can't possibly continue to know even what you knew before you died.

Perhaps you are not convinced yet, so I shall love you more! lol sure thing dude! IMAliyu: Well it depends on what you define as real. If real is your experience and perception of reality then I would argue it's real.
I remember someone explaining Romantic love as "Nature highjacking your mind to make you want to procreate" at the end of the day we are not that different from other living organisms, but I don't think we should trivialise our experiences, just because we can explain it away. There is some aspects of love I argue goes beyond instinct like the ability to still love someone that is dead a type of love that had limited evolutionary advantage. (Since we are in the Muslim section, even Muhammad never stopped loving khadija to the end) could be instict still too, the same instict that drives the vulture to go for dead things . I appreciate your unbiased suggestion though |

Xmuslim: I don't think love is real per se. We don't usually love people's personality without any other attachment (such as beauty, money, religion etc). Thus, we don't love unconditionally. The love fades once the conditions upon which it's built are no more true Except maybe biological Love (parent-child)but I believe this 'love' is mere Instinct , as we have noticed this Instinct of protecting young one in animals , so even biological Love is not real |

IMAliyu: Usually feeling a disconnect from emotions could be a sign of depression, stress, or anxiety.
Kinda went through a similar thing back in secondary school and still have some of the residue of that to this day, like when I got the news when my grandfather passed away I couldn't feel anything (and I liked the man) and I just went back to sleep while everyone was trying to console each other, or when my best friend was having feats of paranoia and later hospitalised for cerebral malaria I still couldn't feel anything, don't get me wrong was I around for him, but my lack of reaction or emotion when I got the news disturbs me to this day. I started wondering why, and thinking something is most definitely wrong.
Emotions on some level is what connects people and helps build relationships (On a biological level even kinda like the reason a mother doesn't abandon her infant no matter how annoying or demanding they can get, interestingly enough the evolutionary argument for why women are more compassionate than men). When you can't display any emotion people have a hard time relating with you or reading you and thus may call you non human. The reason psychopaths are dangerous is they can convincingly fake emotional expressions and have no ability for empathy. you really do get me bro♥️ |
