temitope06:Thanks. Would there be a need to attach a six month statement of account or just the month reflecting the deposit of such cash? Is there also a need to include the statement of account of the person giving the gift to show debit from his account to the receivers account? |
Good day. Pls gurus in the house should kindly help with this. Can the lump sum for a single applicant come as a gift deed? No cash inflow into applicant account at all. Say An engineer with OND. Worked a year after OND. Then went to the university with NYSC after. So the work experience would be the year after OND and NYSC experience. No real cash in account and NYSC pay stub is the regular 19,800. Would gift deed of 3million naira from father with LOE suffice? If not, any sugesstion on how to tackle this? |
diggy4real:Thanks....seen them all...seems getting an offer in Canada is the key to most....how can one do that?[/q. Not all province require you have a valid job offer. Manitoba needs you to have a link in Manitoba to help you with settlement plans. Either a close relative or friend. You get points for that. Think its a must sef. So if you have one. Give it a shot. Ontario nominates candidate with CRS above 400. (from my research). So if you don't mind writing IELTS again to boost your CRS. Give it a shot I think your occupation was part of the OID in sask. Prepare docs ready and chill to see when sask. OID open next Not sure if its part of OID in nova Scotia, u can check it up |

diggy4real:http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp Use that to know your CRS score |
Adiahabasi:Thanks for your time. I am a Physio. PM sent |
Adiahabasi:Thanks. Please do you know any health professional that applied and got nominated in the NSPNP. I read through the site and check their application guide. They need a proof of eligibility that one can work in Canada. Certification with licensing bodies. Any contrary opinion? See the screen shot please.

[quote author=debbiejosh post=53386477]Congrats on your ITA dear colleague, I am in Lagos presently, I lost your contact details somehow.[/ |
dupyshoo:Thanks ma'am. We have a family friend in Manitoba. They are willing to help out |
If you have any questions, ask here as I might be able to answer some Thanks a lot. So what do you advice we do. As I don't see EE pool going down to 400. Our CRS score with myself as the PA is 410 I just got my job and would take 2 years for my appointment to be confirmed. That's when I can think of starting my MSc. My issue is not entering the pool while waiting for MPNP. Would have just applied for the two at the same time. Which other province do you think have good package for overseas skilled workers? |
boldinc:Thanks. Would ask of her timeline and post here. Do you have any idea as to my previous question on MPNP |
Can we please have a thread for landing experience. Like what to expect at the airport, immigration rules to follow, how to carry cash along, housing and all settlement plans. Those who got the PR and just landing could always come in and share their experience for prospective members to learn from. Why am I saying this? A friend would be moving to Canada with her family next month. She has load of questions begging for answers. Going with a virgin passport, no relative in Canada, its all her first time leaving the country. I believe a thread like that would help to know what to expect while landing and the whole settlement process. Thanks |
Good day to all gurus in the house. I planned creating a profile in the Express entry . so I decided to use the CRS calculator to get my likely score but its just too low. Age and not having a masters degree made it drop drastically so I taught of the provincial nominee but myself and my spouse belongs to a profession that requires a license to practice which most Canadian province requires of us. We taught of starting the whole process of licensing but would still have to be present in Canada to write the exam. My question is this: We checked through Manitoba provincial nominee programme and saw we could qualify for oversea skilled worker category if nominated by a friend or close relative. Has anybody applied through this route? How long does it take on the average? Read somewhere on their site that we can't apply for EE until we get nominated. Any better explanation on why? Is there any nairaland member in Manitoba or who got nominated by Manitoba? Please quote me or send a PM, I have loads of questions begging for answers. Thanks |
Hello. Please what herb can be use for weight gain. Thanks |
BolaMure:Sorry this is coming late. I created this page to get influx of physiotherapist sharing ideas just like what we have for nurses, pharmacist and doctors on this forum but it's like our colleagues are not interested in such. I really don't know much about Dubai. But you have an edge with your masters as regards migrating to Canada. What is your total CRS score on the EE profile. What about your spouse. Send me a PM. Let's talk further |
dupyshoo:OK. I understand better now. Thanks |
dupyshoo:I really don't know why physiotherapy isn't listed. Physiotherapy is a licensed profession in all province in Canada. You can't practice without a license both as an internationally educated physiotherapist and Canadian trained. It requires a written and clinical exam to get licensed. Same thing is applicable here in Nigeria. Physiotherapy is a licensed profession just like pharmacy. Its Bachelor of physiotherapy. Only if there is something else I'm not getting right. |
princessayinke:Oh oh! Maybe I would use IQAS to assess and see if they would assess otherwise like they did for lawyers o |
Thetherapist:Sorry, I meant nova Scotia PNP. Not newfoundland. Physiotherapist is part of the occupation in demand. See this http://www.immigration.ca/en/nova-scotia-immigration.html#express_entry though they aren't accepting applications now but physiotherapy was among the occupation in demand in the last app. Hopefully it would be when they open again for application |
princessayinke:Can I know how WES evaluated your physiotherapy degree? As a professional degree or just ordinary first degree. Thanks |
princessayinke:Check out Newfoundland and follow up. Physiotherapist was listed in the occupation in demand the last time it opened for PNP. Don't know if it would still be. My major concern now is the proof of eligibility to practice as a physiotherapist in the province. You will have to include that in your application package. If interested, I would advice you start your credentialing process with the Canadian physiotherapy board ( can't recollect the full name Jare) to get your proof of eligibility. Its costly though. |
Hello, good job you are all doing here. Please is there any Nigerian trained medical laboratory scientist practicing in Canada or in the express entry pool? Kindly quote me or send me a PM. I have a lot of questions to ask you please. Thanks |
Good day house. Please is there any medical laboratory scientist in here already in the express entry pool or any Nigeria trained medical laboratory scientist already practicing in canada. Kindly quote me or send me a PM. I have some issues to clarify from you. Thanks |
Hello, please I need the contact of London used (German sewing) machines. Any reliant online seller please as I'm very far from Lagos. Thanks |
Good day colleagues. I have decided to create this thread for all Nigerian trained physiotherapist practicing in Nigeria or in Diaspora to network together on way forward in this our noble profession. Its no longer news that the Nigeria society of physiotherapy is only out there to get our dues as physiotherapists with nothing to show for it or how else do we explain the shortage of physiotherapists in most of our tertiary health facilities and none in majority of state hospitals. MRTB isn't helping in any way as far as I'm concerned. Would stop here so as not to spread our dirty linen in public This thread is thus created for the following reasons: 1. To share information on job vacancies in various federal, state and private clinics that we are aware of. 2. To share lnformation on locum oppurtunities (some government hospitals in dare need of physiotherapists recruit on contract basis) 3. To discuss about leaving the country in search of greener pastures. How to get licensed in those countries, what the pay is, best way to get in. Other issues that you feel necessary can also be added. Thanks |
I need you all to join me here, then I can talk more about migrating to other countries and the process/ processes to getting a locum job in our various government hospitals. I think I will stop here till I get more influx of physiotherapist. Don't want this thread to be a one man thing |
Interested in masters in physiotherapy in Canada? Here is a link to the list of universities http://www.physiotherapyeducation.ca/CanadianPrograms.html Note that the MPT is the entry level to practicing as a physiotherapist in Canada just like our B.Physio and BMR. So don't get confused in your search. |
So I will start the thread with the liitle I know about relocating to Canada as a physiotherapist. I was discussing with a senior colleague few years back and I was made to realize the easiest way to migrate to Canada as a physiotherapist is through a study permit. You enrol for a 2 years masters program me after which you get entitled to 3 years PGWP. The three years I learnt can be effective for you to sort out your licensing process and get your way into applying for PR. You can start licensing process also while studying for your masters. The little challenge here is getting a supervisor for masters in rehabilitation science. Hence, the major reason why most colleagues there go for masters in public health, kinesiology or even disability studies ( chances of being admitted into this programmes as seems higher than going for masters in rehabilitation science) Another means of migrating to Canada is through the Canadian express entry. This new Canadian immigration process has become more tasking for not only physiotherapist but all professionals that requires a license to practice in Canada. You need to be available in Canada to write the licensure exam. Getting a job offer increase your score on the profile and your chances of being selected. Yet no license to practice for getting a job offer Chances to getting nominated by a province is also slim as its a regulated profession http://www.alliancept.org/credential_applicants_overview.php You can check on that link for the processes to getting a license NOTE: This is based on my own personal research. Any addition, subtraction or more explanation to that is welcome especially from physiotherapist practicing in Canada, in the express entry profile or a Nigerian trained physiotherapist in Canada for a masters degree Information about other countries is welcome |
