You can try baton initiative online classes. class for November cohort started yesterday. type baton initiative french on google to read about time. The tutor has a BA in English and Msc in French. had taught french in different AF and written TEF himself

Hello everyone! My BC IELTS is scheduled for tomorrow here in Ibadan, with the booked and confirmed status. Yet there's an email which states that all exams are postponed in Nigeria, except in Lagos and Abuja. Has anyone gotten similar email?

Is it computer base or paper base test. The test in Abuja and Lagos is computer base. They are yet to commence paper base testing in the country. I was able to put a call through to them yesterday and they said computer base testing in other cities should start next month but can't say when the paper base testing would commence.
If you are not cool with computer base testing. I would advice you apply for refund and just register with IDP

Nice and motivating story. But i taught a B2 in all module would give an additional 45points. Seems i am wrong. Can you please shed more light on this?

They have but i don't know if it is applicable to all test centers. I am very sure of ibadan center. You can send them a mail or chat them up online

Hi guys, I am at absolute beginner level french. Been using memrise, rocket french and pimsleur to teach myself since I can't attend classes right now and I must say that they have been really helpful as I can understand simple conversations, speak, read and write a little. As of now, I am trying to pay for rocket french subscription but I can't as Nigeria is not listed there, has anyone encountered this? How did you resolve it?

Secondly, I have been eyeing learn french with Alexa's paid course. It is claimed that the course can take one from A0 to C2. Has anyone explored or knows someone who has explored this route?

Please any guidance will be seriously appreciated. Thank you.

I subscibed to Alexa paid course. It takes you through 40 basic lessons from A0 to C2. Each pre recorded video lesson has a pdf version you can download to read later and about 3 to 4 supplementary videos on the main lesson. You get an exercise after the main video. Alexa is good to learn all basic grammars you need to know. The class doesn't prepare you for any french exam. She is planning to start an online class via zoom and skype. Already screening french professors for that. In all, the paid class is worth it. I subscibed for 3 months. You can also check language exchange group out on facebook. There are native french speaker there to improve your speaking with.

A friend of mine just did and got an acknowledge mail from BC. I got this info from her. You pay the 15k to BC standard chartered bank account online. Scan your evidence of payment, your orginal TRF and your filled EOR form to exams.nigeria@ng.britishcouncil.org also include account holders name and exam location in the body of your mail.

@ednut1. Thank you. She already captured for a new passport in her married name and when the new passport is ready. The old passport in her maiden name automatically becomes invalid.
So can she just go ahead and create profile in her maiden name. Won't the change of name on her passport affect her post ITA?

For example, Adeleye in profile and passport pre ITA.
Post ITA passport and name now Babalola
Something like that.

Thank God the thread is back and would surely be better.
If you are in Ibadan and planning to write TEF. I have a plan for us and hope it works.
I learnt of conversation class in lagos AF, contacted Ibadan AF and unfortunately they don't have any class close to that. So i was thinking we could come up with a conversation club. We can meet like twice a month and have basic conversation towards passing TEF speaking.

We can also get to invite tutors to our speaking club once a while at a token by members.

Note: I am still at level A0 in french too o. Just moving to level A1. So not like i am an expert.
