Oh! So my lovely princess arrived on Monday 8th as against EDD of 30th September weighing 3.3kg.
My BS Pregnancy was hitch free except for morning sickness that did not last the first trimester. EDD lapse and I wasn't feeling anything.so doctor said I should report for induction of labour at 41 weeks. 2 days to the said 41 weeks, I started seeing blood stain with leaking amniotic fluid. Reported to the hospital @ 41 weeks as planned and was already 4cm gone. I was assisted for membrane rupture and the contraction became more intense. By 3pm. I was checked and was only 5cm gone. Haaa! If I could report to the hospital with 4cm, then 9am to 3pm, all I had was 1cm. I requested to have an emergency CS and the doctors decline. Said queue for surgery was much. So they augmented labour and at 6pm, I was still at 5cm with real pain. When I couldn't bear the pain again, my sister in law made an arrangement for epidural and I was administered. Few hours later, I reached 10cm but baby wasn't coming out. They kept on saying baby head has not crown. They kept on asking me to push, but for every push, nah poo dey come out. Baby was later assisted using vacuum extractor. Then devil won struck again. Placenta was delivered and I started bleeding. The two doctors and nurses were already running around. U know that hospital med team commotion things. At the end the bleeding was arrested and I was sutured as I had episiotomy done. In all, I give thanks to Almighty Allah for giving me a second chance to live. Baby, daddy and mummy is saying thank you to all Nairaland mama for helping us out through the course of this journey. We all remaining mamas would deliver safely inshalla and all TTC mums shall carry there LO sooner than they expect |

I googled mucus plug and the picture I saw isn't looking like d discharge I am having. Abeg shey nah spotting be that or still mucus plug? Anything to panick about? Is Monday still cool to report? |

zaynie: All those are 3rd Trimester packages, although it's supposed to be painless and not painful. Since you're already in your 35th week, I think you're almost at the safe line which is 37-38 weeks, so there is a possibility that you'll be having your baby before your EDD. Hope your bags are packed? Thanks madam zaynie. Bags not packed yet o. Make I quick they pack be that. Thanks. Any idea on what NG tube and vitamins K in the hospital list for? |

chicyclass: Thank you so much. i have long waited for this response.
Please for the ECA assessment, what skill/occupation do i assess under since i can get ITA without licensure.
Please reply me. Sorry for the late response. I actually don't get mentions on Nairaland. So I tend to respond late. For ECA assessment, u can do ECA for your physiotherapy degree and get ITA. Just that you can't practice as a Physio when you land in Canada if you are not licensed. Licensing process is a long thing. So I advice you make it one thing at a time. Face the EE and get ITA. Then licensing can come in after that |

Seyitorl2: Morning all. Please which is the best evaluating body for a degree in PHYSIOTHERAPY I heard it won't be evaluated as a professional degree. .please help out with alternatives. God bless you all. Physiotherapy won't be evaluated as a professional degree. U get points for bachelors degree. So u can use either WES or IQAS. Whichever suits you. |

chicyclass: Haaa... Finally I found a physiotherapist forum.
Who can help me?
I want to relocate to Canada, I have read through the Canadian federal skilled part2 forum, it seems it's more of bankers, managers etc... I did a little research, physiotherapy is not listed. Please is it possible physiotherapists go through that process and gets good CRS points without licensure from The Alliance?
Please I need to understand this .. Thanks Of course, you can get a good CRS point without licensure from the alliance. Licensure from the alliance is a long process on its own from credential evaluation to writing IELTS Academic to doing bridging courses ( if need be) before the final exam. If you can ace IELTS with at least 3 years work experience, and younger. U can get a good CRS score to eventually get ITA. I know of two physiotherapist that landed this year and same last year. So its not something tedious with adequate knowledge and preps. Visit the Canada immigration thread here on Nairaland and read the first few pages to understand how the whole process works. You can start credential evaluation with the alliance when you get COPR. |

Negotiate: Thanks for this response. So you mean even to fix ordinary broken pipe or lay out a lawn sprinkler will need certificates? this kind oyibo land.
Anyways, thanks for the response. I have started compiling a list of handy skills that can fetch cash after normal 'work' closes.
Please ladies, can you tell us how often you make your hair? How much? Can you tell us some other things you sometimes have to spend money on especially when it relates to hiring people?
I really want to offer my own services even if during spare time.
I may even own an establishment which may get jobs and sublet. I just hope. I am really interested in this topic. Landed seniors, kindly enlighten us more on trades that can be learned in Nigeria that requires no certification to practice in Canada. How is owambe ( parties) in Canada as compared to Nigeria and Nigerians in UK? Would fashion designing (sewing) be a good business. Can I get to sew within the four corners of my house while I also engage in a white collar job? What other side business can one do that isn't regulated? Thanks |

Thetherapist: Good morning house and compliment of the season to us all. A quick question please. Can one get into the EE pool and end up getting a PR with a wrong date of birth on international passport without issues. Correct date of birth is 1983. This is the year of birth in all documents excluding international passport that has 1981 (travelled to the UK with same passport) getting to change the year of birth with Nigeria immigration proved abortive.
Would it be cool getting into the pool with this year of birth since all other document has a valid year of birth except the passport or would still have to get the year of birth changed. Thanks Abeg, at mummyjaygirls, Vcole, blackbuddy, Congo2 and other members. Help with this query of mine. Thanks |

Blackbuddy: Hi, I moved to the GTA in June 2015 and settled in Mississauga. I came with my whole family and my wife and I (bankers) started the job hunt also attending the excellent newcomers training with Acess Employment. After 3 months, my wife got several job offers in her field and accepted an offer from a multinational conglomerate which was bought over by America's largest bank and she's doing very well there, even training other new employees now. I got my own break after 6 months as I was focused on finding a job equal or higher than my last position in Nigeria. I got several job offers as well from top banks and finally decided to accept an offer from a top 5 bank in a senior position. A lot of people here who follow Canadavisa forum know my story and I'm a good example of favour and determination.
Don't let anyone tell you that settling in Ontario, Toronto or any big city for that matter was a mistake. There are Nigerians who came before us doing very well and many more will come behind and do just as well. Remember, the battle is fought, won or lost in the mind first of all and then the physical manifestation follows. Sure there may be those who are satisfied with playing in smaller ponds but there are also others who take the plunge and swim in big waters. Abraham left a small, humble beginning for great adversity to claim a big destiny, not the other way round. Same for when Joshua led the chosen into the midst of giants and they prevailed. It's never about the size of the dog going to fight but the size of the fight in the dog. If you decide to go to a smaller city and start over, it's good and fine as it's your journey in life. If you decide to stake your claim here and get your prize as God is doing it for those of us here, that's also fine. You can send me a private message to share some further support and maybe connect you with other successful Nigerians/Canadians on ground here so you learn and gain from them. It wont cost me anything to lift you up, it only glorifies God. This really brought me to tears. God bless you abundantly blackbuddy. May God continue to uplift you. |
